Last week rocker Marilyn Manson released a new book titled Born Villain and today we learn from the man himself that he is releasing a new album by year’s end. It may come as no surprise to learn that MM has decided to give his album the same title as his new book. Prepare yourselves, y’all … Marilyn Manson‘s new album Born Villain is on the way.

Last night I attended an in-store book signing event hosted by Marilyn Manson and his new BFF Shia LaBeouf here in Hollywood, CA where the pair were meeting fans who purchased their book Born Villain. As unlikely a pairing as they may seem, MM and Shia looked like the best of buds and honestly were about as cool as possible for every single person who came out to meet them. I managed to get in line kinda late but the wait wasn’t that bad at all. I wasn’t sure what to expect from Shia but having met MM before, I was hoping it would be another pleasant experience. I’m happy to say that it was. I snapped some photos, check ‘em out below.

Tonight I will be attending a book signing and film screening in Hollywood that will be hosted by BFFs and collaborators Marilyn Manson and Shia LaBeouf. Um, that’s right … MM and Shia became friends and collaborated on a new music video … the creation of which is documented in a new book and shortfilm titled Born Villain. The pair will be at Space 15 Twenty in Hollywood tonight … and so will I.

Back in April, actress Evan Rachel Wood opened up about her romantic relationship with ex-boyfriend Marilyn Manson revealing that she lived “50 lifetimes” during her 4 year relationship with MM. Among those 50 lifetimes was, apparently, a stint as a topless model … ‘cuz new photos of ERW (and her bare breasts) taken by MM have made their way to the Internets.

Last week we saw strange photos of Marilyn Manson hanging out with Lindsay Lohan at a tequila party in LA but this week we are hearing about new music from the rocker. MM has updated the official Marilyn Manson site with new images and new music from a planned upcoming 8th album. With only the caption “I am among no one (excerpt from an undisclosed song with an unreleased title) from Marilyn Manson”, a 26-second snippet of music has been shared … which you can listen to below.

In the wake of Lindsay Lohan‘s latest brush with the law, that resulted in NO jailtime but 3 years of probation, L. Lo has reportedly vowed to turn over a new leaf and stay CLEAN and SOBER so that she will remain TOTALLY out of trouble with the law. In completely unrelated news, Lindsay spent part of her weekend partying with BFF Marilyn Manson (of all people) at the DeLeon Tequila Two Year Anniversary party at the Chateau Marmont last night … because that is the BEST way to stay completely clean and sober, apparently.

Actress Evan Rachel Wood has endured an on-again, off-again relationship with rocker Marilyn Manson before it was on-again in May of 2010 … and then off-again in August of 2010. Today we get to hear from ERW about her relationship with MM in a new interview in New York magazine. According to Rachel, she lived a lot during her time with MM … but, thankfully, she managed to get out unscathed.

Last night the second episode of the 5th season of Skins aired on E4 in the UK and I was fortunate enough to be able to watch the show online just hours after it aired on TV. As you may recall, last week the 5th season of Skins debuted with a very powerful episode … and this week’s ep was just as fantastic. Episode 2 revolved around the Heavy Metal headbanger Rich … and his growing feelings for ballerina Grace.

Last night I was graciously invited to attend the 2010 Spike Scream Awards which were taped at the Greek Theater here in Hollywood, CA and I have to tell you, I had a really fantastic time. Some award shows are just more trouble than they are worth … the red carpet can be a bit of a nightmare and sometimes the staging and production are pretty lame … not so of the Scream Awards this year:

The Spike Scream Awards are still kinda new so the show hasn’t gotten too big and, therefore, unfun. This year, Spike managed to get some of THE biggest names in Hollywood to attend … making for not only a really fun awards show but THE best Spike Scream Awards yet. Marilyn Manson is such a big fan of the dark HBO comedy Eastbound & Down that he took off all of his gothy make-up so that he could pose as the show’s protagonist Kenny Powers in the new issue of Interview magazine … and wouldn’t you know it, the skinny rocker makes a pretty good chubby dude … behold:

While visiting the set of HBO’s Eastbound & Down this summer in Puerto Rico, I learned from co-directors Jody Hill and David Gordon Green that two of the series’ most diehard fans just happened to be icons of hard rock. Hill was thrilled to find out recently that Jack White can’t wait for the second season. And the other? Green let out a chuckle of disbelief. “Yeah, Marilyn Manson, he’s fucking obsessed with the show. He goes so far as to dress up like Kenny.” I found it impossible to conjure a visual of Manson, dark prince of androgyny, fashioned like Eastbound’s Kenny Powers, the overweight enfant terrible of major league baseball and Southern hostility that’s made Danny McBride a comedy icon. I requested evidence from director Adam Bhala Lough … Lough produced this exclusive photo, and offered an eye witness account. “Whenever I see Manson, he’s repeating entire chunks of dialogue and dressed like Kenny,” says Lough. “He just walks around dressed like this and fucks with people on the street. If a waiter or valet tells him, ‘Have a nice day,” he’ll respond, ‘Don’t tell me what to do.’ Stuff like that. He’s even dressed like this when I’m at his house watching Béatrice Dalle films and Hoarders.” I ask Lough what Green thinks of the method role-playing … “I think David’s actually frightened for Danny. Because Manson wants to kidnap Danny on some King of Comedy shit. Danny should be scared.”

LOL! See, even famous rockers can be psycho fans of other celebs … obsession is not relegated to tween Twihards. It’s no surprise that Marilyn Manson likes to play dress-up, after all, he’s made an entire career out of doing just that … it’s just funny to see him play dress-up in reverse. Who knew that a guy who got famous from dressing like a freak could get off by dressing like a putz? Any Eastbound & Down fans out there? Are you impressed with MM‘s tribute?
