Marilyn Manson Reunites With Evan Rachel Wood?

Together again?
Friday, May 29th, 2009

It would seem that reports of the dunzoness of Marilyn Manson and Evan Rachel Wood have been greatly exaggerated … or, perhaps, the couple realized that they just couldn’t live without one another. Here are pics of the happy couple together again in London, England this week were MM has been doing some promo for the release of his new album The High End of Low:

HMMM … you may recall that Page Six reported that MM and ERW got back together in February but since the couple were never seen together, I kinda discounted the report. Perhaps they were right all along. I really don’t understand that ERW sees in MM … she could really do so much better, I think. Ah well … I guess true love is blind. After the jump, check out a photo of Marilyn Manson and reunited bandmate Twiggy Ramirez at an HMV in-store signing for their new album this week — be warned, the pic ain’t pretty …

Marilyn Manson Rises From The Crypt For Sushi

Boo!
Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

Have real-life vampires started roaming the streets of LA? Nope. Marilyn Manson is just back on the scene. When last MM was on the radar, he was embroiled in some break-up drama with ex-girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood (which he seemed to get over very quickly as he was spotted in the close company of a new female friend shortly after the break-up, who he used as a subject of some of his paintings). But with a new album, The High End of Low, on the horizon (it hits stores in a couple of weeks), MM has come out of hiding once again to make his presence known in Hollywood. Here are a few pics of the heavily shrouded Manson emerging from dinner at Katsuya here in Hollywood last night:

See, even Marilyn Manson has jumped on board the Twilight craze! He makes a pretty convincing vampire, don’t you think? It would seem that in the second photo, MM was in the company of his new ladyfriend Isani Griffith (the same girl he was runnin’ around with last December) … it’s clear the man never seems to want for female companionship. I have to say, I’ve been a pretty big Marilyn Manson fan from way back in the day but the last couple of albums have sucked royally. I’m hoping this new disc will be a return to form (a la the Antichrist Superstar days). While I’m pretty much over his shockgoth sctick, I am hoping that he is capable of putting out good music again. I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Are any of y’all looking forward to his new disc? Are any of you here in SoCal planning on going to his in-store appearance at Hot Topic at Hollywood & Highland on the 26th?

Marilyn Manson Is Givin’ Away His New Single

'We're from America' will be available for free download on March 27
Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

Marilyn Manson has updated his official website with the news that he is planning to offer a new song off his upcoming new album The High End of Low (due for release in May) for free download. The track We’re From America will be available for download on March 27 on MarilynManson.com. Here is the new promo photo of MM (lookin’ a lot like Cap’n Crunch in his hat) that was released with this news and the full text of the press release announcement:

Marilyn Manson Releases ‘We’re From America’ From The High End of Low

AVAILABLE AS FREE DOWNLOAD AT MARILYN MANSON.COM MARCH 27th

NEW YORK, March 23 — Marilyn Manson’s anticipated reunion with longtime friend and foil Twiggy Ramirez inches closer with the release of “We’re From America,” the first listen from the forthcoming The High End of Low. Available as a free download March 27th, exclusively on MarilynManson.com, the song will be available as a digital single on April 7th and will preview Manson’s forthcoming seventh studio album landing May 26th.

The album’s official first single “Arma… geddon” will arrive at radio April 13th. Manson’s new lineup including Ramirez (for the first time in close to a decade), plus keyboardist Chris Vrenna, and drummer Ginger Fish, will close the main stage at the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, this July through August. Manson will also kick off his world tour with a headline festival run this June in Europe.

Produced by Manson, Vrenna and Twiggy, The High End of Low was recorded in his Hollywood Hills studio and also features the track, “I Want to Kill You Like They Do In The Movies.” Manson says of the new album, “I think my life definitely ended and began. The record sounds very final, but it’s almost optimistic – though that feels like a strange word to use. It’s a phoenix from the fire and a redemption resurrection.”

Since emerging from South Florida in the early 1990s, Marilyn Manson has continued to upend the mainstream with each new release. The tumultuous relationship Manson has cultivated with the public worldwide has resulted in multi-million records sales, sold-out tours, protests, legal battles, hate, adoration, award-winning distilled spirits (Mansinthe) and most importantly, a long list of some of the most enduring and genre-defying music in the rock era (”Lunchbox,” “Sweet Dreams,” “The Beautiful People,” “Tourniquet,” “The Dope Show,” “This Is The New Shit,” “Mobscene,” “Heart-Shaped Glasses,” etc.)

The first one’s always free… Beginning with a small, slow dose on March 27th with “We’re From America,” the new era of Marilyn Manson and The High End of Low begins now.

It’s been a while since Marilyn Manson has been on the scene … and I’m pleased with the new line-up. Having Twiggy Ramirez back in the fold (who was kinda recently the live bassist for Nine Inch Nails and A Perfect Circle after he left Marilyn Manson a few years ago) is good news. I’m also very pleased that Ginger Fish (an almost original member of MM) and Chris Vrenna (one of NIN’s greatest live drummers, I might add) are in the MM line-up. As much as I love Tim Skold, I don’t think he did much for Marilyn Manson’s last album as it was my least favorite disc. I’m anxious to hear what this new incarnation of Marilyn Manson sounds like … the prospect of MM, Twiggy and Vrenna producing this album is very good news. I’m not sure if there are many Marilyn Manson fans among you Pink readers but I still am and I’m really lookin’ forward to this new album.

Marilyn Manson & Evan Rachel Wood Are Together Again

According to 'Page Six'
Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

Last November we learned the heartbreaking news that Marilyn Manson and his much younger girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood ended their romantic involvement after rumors of their personal family strife started making the rounds. At first, Evan denied that the couple broke up and insisted that she and MM were merely “on a break” but then she did eventually confirm that the couple were dunzo. Shortly after we got confirmation, Marilyn Manson was spotted showing off a new young replacement in Florida who was presumed to be his new girlfriend. BUT, here we are about 3 months later and The New York Post’s Page Six is claiming that the couple have gotten back together again … or, at the very least, are back on “very friendly” terms once again:

ARE bizarre couple Evan Rachel Wood and Marilyn Manson an item again? They were seen leaving the W Hotel in LA together Sunday morning before Wood walked the red carpet at the Oscars. The 21-year-old actress recently denied rumors she was hooking up with her “The Wrestler” co-star Mickey Rourke – and now we know why. Our source outside the hotel said Manson emerged first and “said he was waiting for his girlfriend.” Then, she came out and they climbed into a waiting car.

AWWWWWW … see that, folks? True love really is forever. Even tho this report offers no proof whatsoever that the couple are really together together again, if they’re sharing cars then they are very probably sharing other things as well. Meh. Lurve is lurve and it should be celebrated wherever it can be found. If these two truly have found their way back to one another, then I suppose we should be happy for them … right? Right?

Marilyn Manson Clears Up A Few Things

A blogging he will go
Thursday, December 25th, 2008

Marilyn Manson, in a new Xmas Eve blogpost that was posted on his official My Space profile, offers up a bit of new information in response to a few things about him that have been making the rounds in the past few weeks. As you may recall, word broke that MM split up with Evan Rachel Wood early last month (reportedly over a spat caused by her brother) and then was almost immediately seen out and about with a new, younger ERW clone on his arm. It was heavily speculated that MM had hooked up with this new chicky, Isani Griffith, as a way to replace Evan. Additionally, there was a pronouncement from Ne-Yo (of all people) that MM would be collaborating with him on some new music, which MM’s camp quickly refuted. Clearly, MM felt it was high time to speak up and shoot down the erroneous reports in his own words. Here is the full text of his blogpost that was published yesterday, on Xmas Eve:

Announcement from MM

“Ladies and gentlemen, I’d like to make an announcement. the rumors that I found a ‘replacement’ for Evan, or that I have a new girlfriend are absolutely not true. I am finishing up my album, and I also have never even met Ne-Yo. I can assure him that he would not want to be associated with something this godless. Get over the holiday so I can happily ruin the new year for anyone that assumed music was going to stay boring and sweet.”

MM

HMM … I wonder if Isani was aware that she is not his “new girlfriend”? When MM showed off his new artwork in Miami earlier this month, he sure sounded very coupley with the young girl, referring to her — the subject of a few new paintings — as his “special new lady friend”. Perhaps things didn’t work out and it was determined that she wasn’t the sort of girl MM likes to consort with. In any event, we now know — straight from the horse’s mouth — that MM is hard at work on his next album (yay!) and that he won’t be working with Ne-Yo (double yay!) and it sounds like he still has an affinity for Evan Rachel Wood. Might there be a reconciliation in the future between the lovebirds? Could be … it is Xmas after all … miracles do happen.

Marilyn Manson Unveils New Art, New Girlfriend

A new chapter in the Life of Brian (Warner)
Saturday, December 6th, 2008

Marilyn Manson, who was seen with a mysterious new young woman in Miami, FL this week, officially unveiled his “special new lady friend” to the world at an art opening at 101 Exhibit in Miami’s Design District on Thursday night. MM was on hand for the opening night event of his Trismegistus with his new chicky on his arm (and lips) who we now know to be a 24-year old model named Isani Griffith. Here are a few pics of MM and Isani at the art event and some info on the Trismegistus opening:

Marilyn Manson’s shock tactics worked again. With art, this time. Manson, real name Brian Hugh Warner, showed up at the media preview of Trismegistus at 101 Exhibit in Miami’s Design District Thursday night. Most, if not all, the works in the collection were pretty grisly. But who would expect anything else? The Goth rocker-turned-painter, 39, is taller than he appears in photos and dressed in head-to-toe black, from his signature floppy witch’s hat to his Herman Munster boots. ”I paint people that I think are interesting,” he said simply. We’re not sure what crowd he runs with, but some pieces were tough to look at — like The Man Who Eats His Fingers, a ghostly apparition, mouth bloodied, showing off his missing digits. Others were more tongue in cheek, such as Ready or Not Tot, a creepy baby with werewolf-like lower teeth. Three recent paintings of a blue-eyed mystery woman, ”Isani,” put the Evan Rachel Wood reconciliation rumors to rest. ”That’s my special lady friend,” said the man who took his stage name from icons Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson. Then, rambling a bit: ”I really don’t want to start the next chapter of my life by … burdening someone with being the solution to my problems — or the source of my problems.” Trismegistus is the name of Manson’s 2004 painting of a three-headed Jesus, done on an antique embalming table he found on eBay. ”That one was during a period in my life where I was feeling a bit hopeless. For me it signifies a resurrection and believing in myself,” he said. ”I admit, it’s a little gruesome — even for me.” Isani (no last name given) later showed up looking eerily like Manson’s ex, Dita Von Teese. The two left together to Louis lounge at the Gansevoort South, where they cuddled way into the night.

Well, it turns out that Isani’s last name is Griffith and appears to be just the sort of young lady that tickles MM’s fancy. It really does look like Evan Rachel Wood has been cast aside for a new model (pardon the pun). After the jump, check out a couple of pre-Marilyn Manson photos of Isani in more her innocent days of yore along with a couple of her modeling pics …

Marilyn Manson Surfaces In Miami With A New Chick

Also denies reports that he is collaborating with Ne-Yo
Thursday, December 4th, 2008

It’s been a few weeks since we got word that Marilyn Manson and his much younger girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood had broken-up but it looks like MM has already found himself a girlfriend replacement. Manson was spotted out and about in Miami, FL last night with a new ERW look-alike on his arm:

As I suspected, it didn’t take long for Marilyn Manson to find a willing lady to take Evan Rachel Wood’s place on his arm. I mean … this chick looks the part. I’m sure she and he will be happily together for a long time … or, you know, until he throws her to the curb, too. Additionally (and kinda randomly), there have been odd reports going around that Ne-Yo has been talking about a musical collaboration with Marilyn Manson. When asked by MTVNews if such a collabo was in the works, MM denied any knowledge of any such thing:

A couple of weeks ago, MTV News caught up with R&B hitmaker Ne-Yo on the red carpet at the American Music Awards, and he said something rather interesting — and kind of shocking. When asked what he’s been up to — in the wake of the September release of his latest LP, Year of the Gentleman — he told us he’s got a lot on his plate. Ne-Yo explained that he’s been writing for several artists and has a few collaborations in the works. He said he was excited to work with the likes of Mary J. Blige, Ciara, Michael Bolton, Mario, Monica, Leona Lewis and Lionel Richie. And then he mentioned his upcoming musical venture with none other than Marilyn Manson, the shock-rocking controversy magnet. When pressed for details, Ne-Yo remained uncharacteristically mum. “I have no idea what it’s going to be, because we haven’t started yet,” he told MTV News. “But I’m looking forward to just sitting in a room with him, picking his brain and figuring something out. I have no idea what its going to be yet.” It wasn’t the first time Ne-Yo spilled the beans about his collaboration with Manson. A quick Google search turns up many interviews where Ne-Yo has discussed working with Manson, an artist he named more than a year ago when asked which artists he’d like to team up with. “I’ve wanted to work with him for ages and his people reached out to me when they heard,” Ne-Yo told the U.K.’s Daily Star. “People might think it’s a strange collaboration, [but] I don’t.” Well, perhaps it would have been too strange a collaboration after all. When contacted by MTV News this week, a spokesperson for Manson said the singer, who is finishing work on the follow-up to 2007’s Eat Me, Drink Me, has not spoken to Ne-Yo or his representatives about the idea, and that he has no immediate plans to work with Ne-Yo. Reps for Ne-Yo had not responded to MTV News’ requests for comment at press time.

It’s odd enough that so many women are dying to hook-up with Marilyn Manson but when you add Ne-Yo into the mix … well … I’m not sure what to say about that. I love that Ne-Yo is so open to working with other artists and I can’t even imagine what a collabo between these two guys would be like … but I’m totally open to hearing it should it ever come to be. Ne-Yo sounds DEFFO interested … mebbe Manson can be cajoled into the collaboration? Stranger things have happened. Oh wait, no they haven’t … but still, hope springs eternal. Would YOU like to hear a collabo between Ne-Yo and Marilyn Manson?
