The LA Times sat down with Madonna in her SoCal home just before the Golden Globes a couple of weekends ago to discuss her directorial debut film W.E., her new album M.D.N.A. and her upcoming LIVE performance for the halftime show at Super Bowl XLVI. Altho the entire interview is fascinating to read, I was really more interested in the music bits — most especially her revelation of a song on her album titled Beautiful Killer. Click below to read excerpts from Maddy‘s LA Times interview where she talks about M.D.N.A. and what little she can say about her much-anticipated Super Bowl halftime show next week.
We are just days away from the release of Madonna‘s new single Gimme All Your Luvin’, the first from her new album M.D.N.A., and to promote the release of her newest musical offering she has released a fun new promo video. The vid features footage of Madonna in the studio with producer Martin Solveig and singer/rapper M.I.A. recording the song Gimme All Your Luvin’ back in November of last year. As you can see below, Maddy and M.I.A. look like they had blast in the recording studio together. Check out the clip and see what you think.
As we get nearer and nearer to Super Bowl XLVI on February 5, people are getting more and more curious about what Madonna has planned for her big halftime performance. MTV News managed to score an interview with Maddy on the red carpet of the NYC premiere of W.E. earlier this week and they asked her point blank if M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj would be performing with her during the Super Bowl halftime show. Madonna would not confirm OR deny that they would or wouldn’t … but she did promise that there will be pom poms. Click below to watch video of Madonna‘s interview and find out what else she had to say to MTV News about the Super Bowl AND her new album M.D.N.A.
Last night, in the pouring New York rain, I headed uptown to the Ziegfeld Theater on 54th Street for the screening of Madonna’s directorial debut, W.E. My gorgeous friend, Zoe, and I waited in line on the red carpet and got shivers as Madonna approached us, up close and personal… her stunning dress, her charisma, old Hollywood glamor, Madonna the icon is as magnificent as ever. There are few stars in her class.
Madonna was on hand at the Ziegfeld Theater Monday night for the NYC, NY premiere of her directorial debut film W.E. The regal-looking Madonna was joined on the red carpet by her W.E. stars Andrea Riseborough, James D’Arcy and others for the big event. After holding court both outside and inside on the red carpet, Maddy introduced the film to the assembled audience. It was a very emotional moment for her Madgesty because as she explained that the film is about the power of love she seemed to get choked up a bit … then she dedicated the film to her late mother … and she deffo got choked up. Click below to check out some photos from the red carpet of last night’s premiere and watch video of Madonna‘s emotional introduction.
Last August we learned that Madonna is planning to hit the road with a new world tour this year. In November, we saw photos from an event held in NYC where a potential new dancer was chosen for Maddy’s upcoming tour. Today, courtesy of the fan site Madonnarama, we learn the FIRST tour date to be revealed of this 2012 tour. We don’t know yet when the tour will start but we do know that Madonna will perform concerts this July in Paris, France.
