Justin Bieber Gets Waxed In Las Vegas

Back in March of last year, we got our first look at the first wax statue of Justin Bieber to go on display at Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum in London. In November, we saw a waxed likeness of The Biebs paired up with a wax version of his ladylove Selena Gomez at the Madame Tussaud’s in NYC. Today we get to check out the third wax likeness of the little prince of pop as Madame Tussaud’s in Las Vegas unveils the newest waxen homage to JB. Check out the photos below and get a load of those eyelashes! They look so purdy.

Yikes! I'd Sue!!
Robert Pattinson Gets Waxed In Berlin

In an effort to get in on the Water for Elephants movie release promo train, Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum in Berlin, Germany has unveiled a new wax statue that is supposed to look like Robert Pattinson … but, very scarily, does not. I’m not sure what R. Pattz thinks of this wax tribute in his honor but if I were him, I’d sue. Check out the monstrosity below.

The Biebs Falls in LOVE with His Waxen Tribute at Madam Tussaud's in London
Justin Bieber Gets Waxed In London

Last month we learned that Madam Tussaud’s Wax Museum was planning to create a waxwork statues of popstar Justin Bieber that will go on display in their NYC, London and Amsterdam locations. Today we get to see photos of the Biebs at this morning’s wax statue unveiling in London, England. In the photos below, it seems plainly (and oddly) clear that Justin is really in love with his new wax statue. Like, really in love with it. Check out the photos below.

Biebs Forever
Justin Bieber Will Be Immortalized In Wax

So … I know that a great many of people out there are missing the sight of Justin Bieber and his longer, moppish hair (which he so carelessly cut off earlier this week) but I’ve got good news for those people. Madam Tussaud’s Wax Museum is planning to immortalize the little popstar (hair and all) in a series of wax statues. Bieber himself got measured for the wax tributes in his honor … making for a couple of really funny photos.

Did Madame Tussaud's do her right? No Doubt.
Gwen Stefani Gets Immortalized In Wax

No Doubt frontwoman, solo artist in her own right, fashion designer and rockstar mom Gwen Stefani is the latest celebrity to be immortalized in wax by Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum … and this week, Gwen was on hand to make an in-person appearance at the Madame Tussaud’s in Las Vegas, NV to officially unveil her waxen doppelgänger:

A smiling Gwen Stefani gets all excited as she meets her new $300,000 waxwork in Las Vegas. So presumably, the singer-turned fashion-designer had overlooked the fact that sculptors have added extra inches to her life-like model. The waxwork of the 40-year-old mother of two has actually been made two percent larger than the star is in real life … the waxwork has been made bigger to allow for shrinkage in the Nevada desert climate, according to celebrity blogger Robin Leach of Las Vegas Weekly. Gwen was on hand [this week] for the unveiling ceremony at Madame Tussaud’s in Las Vegas. She dressed for the occasion in incredibly short colourful dress teamed with black tights and killer heels. Meanwhile her waxwork has been suited in a crop top, showing off a green bra underneath and toned stomach, teamed with trousers and knee high lace up boots. It took nearly six months from Gwen’s first private sitting to create the figure, and more than 250 measurements and photographs were taken at a total cost of $300,000. The three-time Grammy Award-winning No Doubt singer arrived in Las Vegas on Tuesday night ahead of the ceremony. ‘We are very excited to have Gwen Stefani’s figure added to our attraction,’ Madame Tussauds General Manager Rosita Chapman said in a statement. ‘She’s consistently rated high on our request list, so we are very pleased to bring her figure to all her loyal fans.’

Once again, the artists at Madam Tussaud’s have done it again. This wax statue of Gwen looks so lifelike that you’d be hard-pressed to figure out which Gwen is the real Gwen without getting all up close and personal. In fact, I’d be willing to wager that the wax version of Gwen has got sicker abs than the real Gwen does ;) After the jump, check out video footage from this unveiling at Madam Tussaud’s Wax Museum in Las Vegas, NV to see the real Gwen in action with the newly constructed wax Gwen

Even better than the Real Thing?
Rihanna Meets Her Waxen Doppelgänger

Yesterday we got our first look at the amazingly lifelike wax statue of popstar Rihanna that will be on display at Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum in Washington DC and today we get to see a personal photo of Rihanna and her waxen doppelgänger which she shared on her official Twitter profile:

I think it’s safe to say that Rihanna approves wholeheartedly of this statue. I, too, approve of this statue … mainly because of how spot on perfect it is. I know some folks don’t think the statue is as perfect as I think it is but check out a side-by-side comparison of Rihanna and her wax statue and judge for yourselves …

They even got the forehead right!
Rihanna Gets Immortalized In Wax

Popstar Rihanna is the latest celeb to be immortalized in wax by the Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum in our nation’s capital city Washington DC. This new wax effigy of Ri Ri will be on display alongside other waxen luminaries like President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Madonna, Rosa Parks, The Jonas Brothers and Denzel Washington. Here is our first look at this tribute to Rihanna:

As with all wax statues … this statue could’ve been a disaster. I think they really got it right this time. The only thing that would make this version of Rihanna look like the real Rihanna would be if her hair were bright pink. If you get the forehead right, you get Rihanna right. Madame Tussaud’s really got the forehead right, don’t you think?

How will YOU mark the 1st anniversary of Michael Jackson's death?
Madam Tussaud’s NYC Prepares To Pay Tribute To Michael Jackson

Yesterday we saw a photo from the prep work going on at the Madam Tussaud’s Wax Museum in Washington DC for the exhibit that will pay tribute to the late Michael Jackson on the anniversary of his death tomorrow and today we get to see photos from the Madam Tussaud’s exhibit in NYC that will pay homage to the late King of Pop as well:

We learned yesterday that all nine Madam Tussaud’s Wax Museums around the world will pay tribute to MJ so if there is a museum near you, you can make your way there tomorrow to pay your respects. Additionally, a new line of Michael Jackson candles have become available so that you can remember MJ and then burn his head in the privacy of your own home:

TMZ is reporting that the first fans have started showing up at Forest Lawn Cemetery to be near MJ‘s final resting place for tomorrow’s anniversary. It’s still hard to believe it’s been a year since Michael Jackson died. How will YOU be marking the first anniversary of MJ‘s death tomorrow?

Madam Tussaud’s Washington DC Prepares To Pay Tribute To Michael Jackson

We are just a couple days away from the 1 year anniversary of the death of Michael Jackson and while MJ‘s family are lookin’ to get back in the spotlight (by any means necessary), others are preparing to pay tribute to the late King of Pop in their own way. Madam Tussaud’s Wax Museum in Washington DC is but one of the many locations that will be paying tribute to MJ on the anniversary of his death. Here is a photo of the MJ wax statue in DC gettin’ primped for the exhibit:

In preparation for a spectacular worldwide tribute at each of its sibling attractions, just two days before the one-year anniversary of Michael Jackson’s tragic death, Madame Tussauds Washington D.C. studio artists will position Jackson’s wax figure in the attraction’s lobby, touch up the figure’s make-up, style its hair and prepare its outfit, for a special Michael Jackson Tribute Exhibit on Wednesday, June 23 from 11 a.m. – Noon at 1001 F Street, NW (10th & F Streets NW), Washington D.C. Madame Tussauds D.C. joins all nine Madame Tussauds attractions worldwide – from Shanghai to New York – in paying tribute to Jackson, whose untimely passing June 25 of last year shocked the world. Each attraction will create its own tribute exhibit. Madame Tussauds D.C.’s exhibit will be free to the public, so that Washingtonians and visiting passersby alike will have a chance to be close to the “King of Pop” once again. During the tribute fans will be able to pay their respects, take photos with his wax likeness and lay flowers at his feet. Jackson was an active and enthusiastic participant in the creation of his wax figure, which features the “King of Pop” singing with microphone in-hand, wearing an all-black outfit reminiscent of the one he is seen wearing on his Bad album cover. The tribute exhibit will be on display until July 23. With more than 750 million album sales, Jackson is one of the most revered artists in the world. His iconic music inspired millions of people and multiple generations of artists and performers.

The tributes to MJ‘s memory will run the gamut from the classy to the tacky, from the very public to the very private. It’s kinda crazy to think that a year has passed already since Michael suddenly and sadly passed away. Even tho I’m not the biggest MJ fan, I can still appreciate his impact on the world of pop culture. He is still missed … and I hope that people will remember to be as respectful as possible of his memory as we all mourn, once again, the loss of a legend.
