Back in February we learned that unmarried parents Jamie Lynn Spears and her babydaddy Casey Aldridge had broken up and that JL had found comfort in the company of an older man. Since that time, Jamie Lynn and Casey have been pretty much out of the spotlight with errant photos of the pair both together and apart showing up on Facebook. Today we get to see new photos of Casey-Lynn lookin’ very much reconciled as they along with daughter Maddie Briann hang out with JL‘s parents Lynne and Jamie Spears here in SoCal. It would appear that the break-up is off and that the couple have reunited again:

Last year, Jamie Lynn Spears’ relationship was in tatters amid allegations fiancée Casey Aldridge cheated on her with a neighbour. But now the pair, who have a daughter Maddie, are giving their romance a second chance. They were spotted on a family day out at Universal Citywalk in Los Angeles where they treated their 2-year-old to toys and sweet treats. The 19-year-old also took along her parents Lynne, 55, and Jamie, 58, for the family outing. Jamie Lynn, who had a brief relationship with businessman James Watson this year, and Casey, 20, are ‘are working on things between them,’ a source tells America’s People magazine. They recently attended a Lady Gaga concert together with along with Jamie Lynn’s famous sister Britney and her boyfriend, Jason Trawick.

To be honest, I’m glad to see that Jamie Lynn and Casey are back together … or, at the very least, are working on being together again. I think it was the best thing for the young couple to relocate to Kentwood, Lousiana so that they could try and raise their daughter together in relative peace. Whether it’s true or not that Casey cheated on JL or that JL hooked up with an older man after they split is irrelevant if the couple have decided to put the past behind them and move forward as a family. Raising a child is no easy task for anyone … let alone teenage children. At least it looks like they are being as responsible as possible when it comes to raising Maddie Brianne. We’ll have to wait and see if it lasts … but this is a good sign, I think. Do y’all think these two will live happily ever after?

Britney Spears is still hard at work on her planned upcoming album (which, thus far, has no release date scheduled … tho, my guess is that it will be released this Fall) as she was spotted making her way out of a recording studio here in SoCal yesterday afternoon. Britney‘s mother, Lynne Spears, accompanied Brit Brit to the studio and was spotted in her company yesterday as well … behold:

Firstly, it’s nice to see Mama Lynne is back in town … I’m certain both Britney and her young sons are happy to have Lynne in town. Secondly, I am THRILLED to know that Britney is still working feverishly on her new album. I’ve been hearing many rumors about the upcoming disc concerning which producers she’s working with, what the sound of the album may be … it’s all very exciting. Thirdly, I just gotta love a woman who shares my love for McDonald’s. All in all … I’m lovin’ these pics!!

In January, mama Lynne Spears made her grand arrival in LA to spend a bit of time with her eldest daughter Britney Spears and her young grandchildren Sean Preston and Jayden James. While Lynne was in LA for many weeks, we didn’t really see her out about all that much. At the start of this month, Lynne did step out for a night on the town with Britney and the boys as the fam enjoyed a night at the movies together but that was pretty much it. I understand Britney and Lynne did some something together last week but … it would seem Lynne‘s time in LA has come to an end. Yesterday, Lynne was spotted making her arrival at LAX Airport presumably on her way back home to Kentwood, LA:

While I’m sure Lynne enjoyed her time here in SoCal with her eldest grandbabies, I bet she’s anxious to get back to Louisiana to tend to her other daughter and her other grandbaby. I’m sure we’ll be seeing Lynne around these here parts again soon. Y’all come back now, ya hear?

Mama Britney Spears and Grandmammy Lynne Spears took the young’ns, Sean Preston and Jayden James, to the movies to see Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief at a theater in Calabasas, CA last night. As you can see, the Spears boys took a page from the Beckham boys’ playbook and dressed up for the occasion in superhero costumes:

You may recall that little Cruz Beckham got all dolled up as Transformers Autobot leader Optimus Prime at his birthday party a couple of weeks ago … and today we see that both Spears boys dressed up as Spider-Man. So cute. It’s nice to see Lynne Spears hanging out with her grandkids again … it’s been some time since we’ve seen them all together. It’s a shame that Britney doesn’t look as happy as she did over the weekend … mebbe she saves her sunny smile for daytime? In any event, I sure hope the Spears‘ enjoyed themselves a nice time at the movieshow last night.

It’s been many a moon since mama Lynne Spears graces the SoCal area with her presence but since her eldest daughter Britney Spears won’t fly back home to Kentwood, LA to see her, I guess mama Lynne had to fly to LA to see her daughter and grandbabies. Here is a photo of Mama Lynne making her arrival at LAX Airport yesterday:

Incidentally, Britney showed up at the Mondrian Hotel last night (presumably where Lynne was staying) but she was in NO mood to be photographed. It’s unclear if Brit was hiding a heinous blemish or if she was just feelin’ shy but she was not having it at all. Besides the fact that she arrived in her big white SUV, her dice wrist tattoo was peeking out from her hoodie so … yeah it was her. No word on what the mother-daughter Spears Summit might be all about but one hopes everything is A-OK.

Yesterday we saw a batch of photos of almost the entirety of the Spears family enjoying some downtime together poolside in Miami, FL and today we get to see a few more pics of all that relaxin’ … but this time, it’s only the Spears ladies who are soaking up the sun. While the boys are off doing their thing elsewhere, Britney, Jamie Lynn, Maddie Briann and Lynne Spears are chillaxin’ by the pool:

Maddie Briann doesn’t get to spend much time with aunt Brit Brit so I’m sure she appreciates this time together. With all the touring that’s been going on this year, Britney hasn’t really had much time to hang with her family as much as she’d prolly like to. Sure, she’ll meet up with them along the way as the tour carries on but it’s not the same as everyday contact. It’s really encouraging to know that Britney‘s handlers are making sure to keep her connected with her family as much as possible as she works her ass off on tour. Our dear Britney still has many more US dates ahead of her and then she jets off to Australia for some shows there … the end of the road isn’t really in sight for her just yet … which is why I’m sure she is really enjoying this little vacy with her family in Miami.

After spending some time in NYC last week and a couple of quick pitstops in Boston, MA and Philadelphia, PA this weekend, Britney Spears brought her young’ns to Miami, FL to meet up with some members of her family … including her parents, Lynne and Jamie Spears … and her little sister Jamie Lynn Spears, who brought along her own young’n Maddie Briann. Britney will be performing a couple concerts in the area this week so she clearly thought it would be fun to bring together members of her family for a little bonding time in Miami. Our dear Britney Spears, who has been enjoying a short vacation in the Bahamas recently (in the close and intimate company of her family, her children and her very attentive agent Jason Trawick), managed to swing by Louisiana on Saturday in order to attend the wedding of her cousin Laura Lynne Covington in Amite, LA. Britney was only in town for a short visit to appear at the nuptials as an “honorary” bridesmaid (whatever that means) and to celebrate with her family at the reception … and then it was back on her private jet bound for home. Here are pics of Britney making her grand escape from Louisiana yesterday and some info about the family wedding itself:

After making a big splash in the Bahamas the day before, Britney Spears emerged Saturday in Amite, La., where she made a low-key appearance as an “honorary” bridesmaid at the wedding of her cousin, Laura Lynne Covington. “When her brother walked her down the aisle, she looked stunningly calm and beautiful,” says one wedding guest. “She was very pretty, low-key. She was not the center of everything, just pretty and calm and collected.” The wedding took place at the First United Methodist Church, the same church where the funeral for Covington’s mother Sandra, who died of ovarian cancer, took place in January 2007. Later, at the wedding reception, the pop star hung out with her sister and fellow bridesmaid, Jamie Lynn, who toted baby Maddie, and “sat at a table off to the side and visited with local people she knew,” says the guest. “There was no fanfare,” noted the guest. “With all the star power Britney and her family command, it was still the bride’s day.”

Unlike Britney‘s fake cousin and former assistant Alli Sims, Laura Lynne is Britney‘s real family and it makes sense that she would want to be a part of her special day. Laura Lynne was one of Britney‘s bridesmaids when she got married to Kevin Federline back in 2004. It’s very clear to me that Britney only makes time for her family in matters like this, which I think is very healthy and good for her overall progress. It’s clear to me that Britney doesn’t like making too many appearances, especially at functions where her fame might be exploited but you can tell she remains grounded and loved when she returns to Louisiana. Congrats goes out to Laura Lynne on her nuptials.

Tour prep continues for Britney Spears this weekend as she and her mama Lynne Spears were spotted making their way into a rehearsal studio this weekend to continue work on her upcoming concert tour The Circus starring Britney Spears. As you may recall, earlier this week we saw a few insider photos of Britney engaged in dance rehearsals with her troop of dancers so we know that she’s been bizzy. BreatheHeavy.com is reporting that folks putting together Britney‘s tour are working to have Madonna make a guest appearance in the show much like Britney guested in Madonna‘s Sticky & Sweet World Tour last year. If true, this is the best tour spoiler that I’ve heard from Britney‘s upcoming tour yet. Here are a couple pics of Britney and Lynne as they made their way into the studio yesterday and the rumored information about Madonna‘s alleged appearance in Britney‘s show:

Britney and Madonna are doing an exclusive scene together! “It features the song ‘If U Seek Amy’, in which Madonna is the character ‘Amy’ and Britney is running after her. First there will be a video playing and then Britney will come out and sing and then, only in Los Angeles, Madonna will come out for the last part … It has been negotiated and confirmed. They are set to shoot it by February 10th. Britney has said she is ‘over exited to be coming back to the stage’ and gave her ideas for the sets of many numbers.”

While I really love this idea, I fear it’s too good to be true. Without some sort of confirmation (which should come at least by February 10, as this rumor suggests) I’m gonna hold off on believing this particular report. Even if Maddy doesn’t appear in video form during the show (even tho she should since Britney fans would eat that shizz up!), I really do hope that she makes an appearance on stage with Britney here in LA. Britney was kind enough to make the cameo for Madonna, hopefully she’ll do the same. In any regard, work continues on tour prep … with Madonna or not, the show sounds like it’s going to be amazing. In just about two moths, Britney Spears is gonna show us what she’s got. I can’t wait.

News on the Britney Spears front has been pretty quiet in the past couple of weeks which, IMHO, is a good thing. I understand that Britney has been hard at work on her upcoming new tour The Circus starring Britney Spears so no news is good news, I think. Brit Brit and her mama Lynne Spears were spotted driving around LA yesterday hot on the heels of a new report that Britney just purchased a new $8.9 million dollar home for her and her babies. She Twittered that she took Sean Preston and Jayden James to see their new digs and they wholeheartedly approve. This all sounds like lots of positive stuff in World of Britney:

New year, new digs! Britney Spears is in the process of moving into her sprawling new Calabasas home, X17 reported on Tuesday. “I just took my babies to our new home, and they loved it!” Spears wrote on her Twitter account. “I can’t wait to move in.” According to X17, the pop star — who is mom to Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2 — was spotted unloading items such as the boys’ electric cars onto the property. The Prado De Los Suenos house in The Oaks community in Calabasas is priced at $8.9 million. The pop star’s six-bedroom, six-bathroom Studio City, Calif. home is currently on the market for $7.195 million. The gated, Italian Renaissance-inspired villa has about 7,500 square feet and features a wet bar, a library, a den, high ceilings and stone and mosaic tile floors. The master bedroom has a fireplace and a loggia. The pad also comes complete with a pool, spa, arbor and three garages.

This move is a very good step for our dear Britney. The Studio City home that she is leaving and putting up for sale is the same place where she had to be dragged out of in January 2008 after she suffered her mental breakdown. That place is prolly full of sad memories that I’m sure she’s ready to put behind her. Honestly, I’m surprised that she waited this long to move … but at last, it’s time. I hope that her preparations for the tour continue to progress smoothly and that her move into her new home affords her the fresh start that she needs for 2009. Onward, upward and forward … Britney‘s comeback is still very much on the move.
