While mama Madonna was turning heads at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala in NYC, NY last night, her first born daughter Lourdes Maria was showing off her own style on the streets of that very same city … in a simple yet very chic way. It’s impossible not to see Madonna in her young daughter, especially when Lola so expertly takes cues from Maddy‘s signature fashion looks of the 80′s. Lourdes in this jeweled jean jacket is just perfection. And she don’t need a red carpet to prove that she is one stylish young woman.

It looks like Madonna and her eldest daughter Lourdes Maria (who recently gave her first TV interview ever) have become the best of friends these days. Not only are the ladies co-collaborators on a juniors line of clothing called Material Girl but they hit the town together on Oscar Night last night. Upon arrival at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, Maddy and Lola caused a sensation on the red carpet … Lola for her gorgeousness, Maddy for the fact that she was missing the bottom half of her outfit.

When last we saw Madonna‘s eldest daughter Lourdes Maria here on the blog, she and her mother were at the launch of their Material Girl clothing line back in September. Now, it’s a new year, a new season and new opportunity to promote the line … and to do so, Madonna has allowed Lola to give her first television interview ever. Lola sat down with Access Hollywood Live to talk a bit about the Material Girl clothing line, revealing that she and Maddy like to raid one another’s closets. This video is a must see.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 had its world premiere in London, England last Thursday but the Hogwart’s gang made their way to NYC, NY last night to attend the US premiere of the film. Emma, stunning as always, was a vision on the red carpet … tho, I think I prefer the dress she wore to the London premiere to this one. DanRad and Rupert were lookin’ fine, as was their co-star Ralph Fiennes. Madonna‘s eldest child Lourdes Maria attended the HP premiere last night as did new Glee castmember Darren Criss. The Deathly Hallows has finally invaded the US and the final countdown to the film’s wide release is upon us. Are you ready already, cuz I sure am! Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 opens in theaters this Friday.

Yesterday we got to see a whole bunch of celebs dressed up in their Hallowe’en costumes over the weekend and right now we get to see one more batch of photos to wrap up Hallowe’en 2010 once and for all. Britney Spears‘s sons Sean Preston (as Iron Man) and Jayden James (as Spider-Man villain Venom) did their trick-or-treating here in SoCal with their father Kevin Federline and his ladyfriend Victoria Prince (who both dressed as slobs). Sarah Michelle Gellar took her little Charlotte Grace (dressed as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz) out for tricks-or-treats and Madonna (in a Barack Obama mask) took her little girl Chifundo Mercy Grace (also as Dorothy) out as well … behold:

As you can see, Maddy‘s eldest daughter Lourdes Maria joined in on the trick-or-treating fun dressed as one of the Cherrio cheerleaders from Glee. It was a night of lace tights, skirts, and mother-daughter bonding for Madonna and daughter Lourdes Leon, 13, as they celebrated the launch of their Material Girl clothing line Wednesday night at Macy’s Herald Square in N.Y.C. Despite being a fashion icon, Madonna was content to take a backseat when it came to choosing the items for the Material Girl girl. “Lola did most of the work. I just kind of hung out in the background and went, ‘That’s nice,’ but she pretty much did all of the work. I was just overseeing it,” she said. But when your mom is Madonna and you’re creating a fashion line for teenage girls, it isn’t always that simple. “There are some definite pieces [inspired by my mom]. The tulle skirt because that’s like her thing—she made that. The necklaces, the gloves, the lace tights, the combat boots…that tough girly thing,” Lourdes told PEOPLE. As for the items in Mom’s closet that she covets most? “All of her shoes are ridiculous! I love to try on her [Christian] Louboutins,” she said. Also on hand for the celebration was Material Girl face Taylor Momsen. “It was such an honor to be chosen by Madonna and Lola. They’re such talented people and I’m just ecstatic,” gushed the Gossip Girl star. The night concluded with the three ladies gathering on the fourth floor of Macy’s, as dancers performed and a DJ spun many of Madonna’s songs. “Lola has been so inspiring and it’s been so great to watch her focus, her determination.” Madonna said. “I’ve achieved many things in my life, but I have to say watching my daughter make her dreams come true and achieve her goals is more exciting than anything I’ve ever done.”

Earlier this month we saw photos of Madonna‘s eldest child Lourdes Maria as she enjoyed her first day of school at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts … more commonly known as LaGuardia Arts aka the Fame school. Today we check in on Lola as she made her way home from school last week lookin’ about as normal as any kid walking home from school would look:

See, my problem with this is false advertising … I used to watch Fame way back in the 80′s and I distinctly remember that all of the students at the Fame school would sing and dance on cafeteria tables, desks and even cars out on the street. Lola is just walking home … no singing, no dancing … I don’t even think she is humming. I don’t know, y’all … I’m thinkin’ an education at the Fame school ain’t all that it’s cracked up to be.

Back in April we learned that Lourdes Maria Ciccone, the eldest child of Madonna, was reportedly admitted into the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts (better known to everyone outside of NYC as the Fame school) despite the fact that she did NOT audition for enrollment to the school like every other student is required to do. Now, whether or not she auditioned or not is irrelevant because yesterday was Lola‘s first day of school at LaGuardia Arts … and here are the first photos from Lola‘s first day of school:

My guess is that Lola was not required to audition for enrollment A.) because she is Madonna‘s daughter and B.) because she had a hand in the creation, promotion and launch of the Material Girl fashion line available now at Macy’s department stores across the country. Both of these qualifications would make a young girl like Lourdes Maria a desirable candidate for any school she wishes to attend. I must say, tho, that if Lola is serious about a career in showbiz then she is off to the right start by attending classes at LaGuardia Arts. This might be the real first step towards Lola‘s future world domination. Time will tell but, yeah, she is off and running.

Filming continues this week on the London, England set of the new film W.E. which is being directed by Madonna … and today we learn of a bit of inspired casting for the film. It turns out that director Madonna‘s daughter Lourdes Maria has been cast in the film … which is being directed by Madonna. Get that? Director Madonna has cast her own inexperienced daughter in a major motion picture because, well, she’s the director? Here are a couple photos of mother and daughter on the set of W.E. working together:

She’s already followed in her mother’s footsteps with religion, fashion and music – now Madonna’s daughter Lourdes is following her onto the big screen too. The 13-year-old – billed as Lola Leon in the film credits – was spotted on the set of her mother’s movie W.E. wearing a school uniform ready for her movie debut. It’s not known yet exactly what part she’s playing and how big her role will be. Before she changed into her costume, Lourdes – known as Lola – had joined her mother on the shoot with brothers Rocco and David to see what progress was being made yesterday. Madonna was shooting in Mayfair yesterday outside hotel Claridges, as well as outside a makeshift Downing Street located in Aldwych. W.E., her second film as a director, tells the story of Edward VIII’s relationship with Wallis Simpson. The £18million film, currently being shot in Britain and France and due for release next year, intersperses Edward’s affair with the American divorcee with a love story set in 1998.

Now, lest you think that Lourdes … excuse me, Lola Leon … is without acting experience let me remind you that the little one has already appeared in the music video for Celebration … er, which was released by her mother. HMMM … I think I’m starting to see a pattern developing here. Still, everyone has to start somewhere … and in showbiz, it really is all about who you know. Might this be the start of a stunning acting career for Lola Leon? We shall see …

Madonna‘s 13 year old daughter Lourdes Maria was spotted on the London set of the film W.E. (which is being directed by her mother) this week and she was spotted wearing a very interesting wrist band accessory:

Yes that is a marijuana leaf on Lola‘s Rastafarian wristband … and just because she is wearing it, does not mean that she is a smoker. Kids actually wear these sorts of things, procured at places like Hot Topic, because they look cool not because they are trying to advertise their love of marijuana. Still, it would be naive to think that a 13 year old kid — especially one as famous as Madonna‘s — would have no knowledge of recreational drug use. I tend to look on the more positive side of things and will assume that this wristband is just an innocent if inappropriate fashion accessory. Still, I doubt this sort of thing will be sold as part of the Material Girl accessories line. What do y’all think … is this innocent or something more?
