Jennifer Lopez Boldly Rocks The Unitard For New Year’s Eve

Jennifer Lopez was among the artists who performed live in Times Square, NYC last night as part of Dick Clark’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2010 and La Diva Latina really put it all out there by choosing to perform on national television while wearing a body-hugging unitard bodysuit. In all honesty, J. Lo‘s got a bod worthy of being on display but I’m not sure the sparkly dark unitard she wore really did her any favors. J. Lo performed a medley of three songs — Louboutins, Waiting for Tonight and Let’s Get Loud — and really did a fantastic job, IMHO, with her performance … complete with booty jiggle and everything. Here are a few photos of Jennifer Lopez rockin’ her body-suit last night:

It is the curvaceous derrière which launched a modern-day diva. But as Jennifer Lopez cavorted on stage in an utterly unforgiving diamanté-studded catsuit last night, her once ample bottom appeared to have been downsized. Suffice it to say, there was no space for any lumps or bumps in a figure-hugging outfit which stole the show. She teamed the catsuit – which looked see-through under the stage lights – with a pair of matching diamanté studded ankle boots. The 40-year-old singer was performing her 1999 hits Waiting For Tonight and Let’s Get Loud and her new single Louboutins at Times Square in New York to celebrate the start of 2010. Despite miserable weather, more than 750,000 revellers braved the cold and rain to watch J.Lo sing. Millions also watched the show on television. ‘You didn’t think I could do that in the rain did you?’ she said after risking a major wardrobe malfunction with a hugely energetic routine. Her audience cheered as she writhed on the stage before high-kicking along to Frank Sinatra’s classic New York, New York. J.Lo grew up in the Bronx but admitted she had never been to Times Square to celebrate New Year’s Eve. After her performance, she told host Ryan Seacrest: ‘This is my first time ever coming down here. It’s just so much good, hopeful, amazing, loving energy. I feel like a little girl!’ Seacrest, who was presenting Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, couldn’t hide his admiration for J.Lo’s costume. He grinned: ‘That outfit has made my year!’

Yeah right, Seacrest, whatever you say. I was not able to watch J. Lo‘s performance as it aired live last night but I did get to watch it this morning online and, in all honesty, I think she did a great job. It took a lot of guts to perform on such a massive stage wearing an outfit like this but Lopez owned it. After the jump, check out video of her medley performance and judge for yourselves …

Jennifer Lopez Throws On Her ‘Louboutins’, Falls On Her Ass

Earlier I mentioned that the 2009 American Music Awards were edited for the West Coast feed of the show due to Adam Lambert‘s “shocking” performance of his song For Your Entertainment but it was also edited because Jennifer Lopez fell on her ass while performing her new song Louboutins (which we got to hear for the first time last week) and, apparently, the folks at ABC didn’t want the folks watching at home on the West Coast to see it. To be honest, her fall wasn’t all that bad at all and she managed to get right up and carry on with her performance. But, for those of you who didn’t get a chance to see the mishap (or just want to watch it again), here are a few photos of the embarrassing incident:

It was a daring dance manoeuvre that could have gone terribly wrong – and unfortunately for Jennifer Lopez – it did. The diva fell flat on her famous rear end while performing her new single Louboutins at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles last night. The 40-year-old mother of two began the dramatic stunt by climbing up a human pyramid of semi-naked male dancers. She then drew gasps from the audience when she lost her balance after jumping off a dancer’s back, and landed on her derriere. But, ever the professional, Jennifer quickly recovered her poise and carried on with the show. After hours of rehearsals, the slip up would have disappointed the singer, who is known to be something of a perfectionist. But it seems that the only thing bruised was her ego, with her spokesperson assuring concerned fans that ‘she’s fine, totally fine.’

Actually, I understand that she wasn’t all that fine at all … backstage spies report that J. Lo was PISSED over the fall and make it quite clear to everyone within earshot that she was not happy with herself or her dancers. I don’t know if she personally insisted that the fall be edited out of the West Coast feed (tho I suspect that she or her people did insist) but ABC did edit her performance, turning her fall into a slo-mo jump that cut away right before her booty made contact with the stage floor. After the jump, tho, check out video of J. Lo‘s uncensored, unedited performance of Louboutins at the AMAs last night …

First single off her new album 'Love?'
First Listen: Jennifer Lopez, ‘Louboutins’

The first single from Jennifer Lopez‘s new album Love? (which is due out in January ’10) has made its way to the Internets a few days ahead of its official debut which is scheduled to take place live at the American Music Awards this Sunday night. Louboutins is the name of the new track from J. Lo aka Jenny from the Block aka La Diva Latina aka Lola … Ms. Jennifer Lopez:

Jennifer Lopez’s lead single from her next year release “Love?” has hit the web. Titled “Louboutins”, the song will be performed live for the first time at 2009 American Music Awards on November 22. “Louboutins” reportedly is produced by Christopher “Tricky” Stewart and written by The-Dream. Rumor also suggests that the song was meant to be recorded for Brandy’s forthcoming release, but following Brandy’s exit from Epic Records, it was handed over to J-Lo. Jennifer Lopez is expected to release “Love?” on January 25, 2010. A promotional single called “Fresh Out the Oven” has been unveiled earlier this month. Coming from production hands of The Neptunes, the dance track has Pitbull lending his vocal on the lines.

Considering how poorly J. Lo‘s last album Brave did when it was released a couple of years ago (do any of y’all even remember it at all?) I’m very curious to hear what Jennifer‘s new sound is like. I would love for her to drop another killer track like Get Right, Play or Waiting For Tonight (to name but a few of my fave J. Lo songs). Louboutins, an obvs shout-out to the expensive designer shoe line, is our first taste of what J. Lo has in store. After the jump, listen to the song in full …
