Robert Pattinson Gets Almost Nekkid In ‘Little Ashes’

As you may or may not already know, Twilight star Robert Pattinson starred in a small indie film earlier this year titled Little Ashes where he played the eccentric genius and surrealist painter Salvador Dalí (we got our first look at R. Pattz as Dalí back in February). In Ashes, Dalí’s romantic relationship with poet Federico García Lorca is central to the storyline. Now, I have not yet been able to see the film myself but I have come upon a set of screencaps from the film that feature Pattinson standing nekkid before a mirror showing off a lot more than he has previously bared in his other films:


Pattinson fans who have yet to see the film may want to brace themselves for what’s to follow … altho you cannot see everything in the screencaps behind the cut, you can see quite a bit more than you’ve been able to see previously. First Look: Robert Pattinson As Salvador Dalí In ‘Little Ashes’

Robert Pattinson, who set teenage girl hearts aflutter as Edward Cullen in the Twilight movie last Fall, will next be seen in the film Little Ashes as eccentric yet extremely talented surrealist painter Salvador Dalí … which may, most likely, set less of those girl hearts aflutter. In the film, Pattinson’s Dalí is engaged in a torrid romance with poet Federico García Lorca who is played by Javier Beltrán, which means there is likely to be significant man-on-man lurvin’ goin’ on in the film. Here is a screencap from the film of the two men in character posing for a photo together:


Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson dons a mustache – and a heavy accent – for his next role as Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dalí in Little Ashes. PEOPLE has an exclusive clip of the movie, which is set in 1922 and focuses on Dalí as a young man in love with the poet Federico García Lorca, played by Javier Beltrán. Check out Pattinson as the eccentric artist in a charged encounter with Lorca – and Dalí’s wife. Little Ashes opens in late March.

I am VERY curious to see R. Pattz’s portrayal of such a larger than life figure … Salvador Dalí was such a powerful artist with an equally powerful personality, I really hope that Pattinson is able to do the man justice. Robert Pattinson Channels His Inner Salvador Dalí

'Little Ashes' gets a movie poster

Even tho the Twilight movie hasn’t been released in theaters just yet, Robert Pattinson is already thinking about his first post-Twilight film Little Ashes. Here is the poster artwork for his arty indie film which tells the tale of 18-year old Salvador Dalí (played by Pattinson)’s arrival at university in the 1920’s, his desire to become an artist and his romantic relationship with his schoolmate and friend Federico Garcia Lorca (played by Javier Beltran):


Oh yes … this movie sounds like a far cry from R. Pattz’s stint as beautiful vamp Edward Cullen in Twilight. But I am very interested to see him play a role like this. We’ve already seen him rock a full face of facial hair but this is one of the first times we’ve seen him with the trademark Dalí ’stache. It looks good, yes? Will any of y’all be seeing this film when it gets released next year? Do you suppose the Twilight Army of fans will come out in support after the excitement over the Twilight movie begins to wane?
