Singer/Songwriter and new mom Lisa Loeb is finally doing something that many believe she should’ve done AGES ago … she is finally launching her own collection of eyewear. Ever since Lisa broke onto the music scene all those years ago, she has always been identified by the eyeglasses that she wears. Now, in a new partnership with Classique Eyewear, Lisa will be selling a line of eyewear specially designed by her:

Though Lisa Loeb rose to fame as a singer, she’s probably just as well known for her eyeglasses. Loeb is finally cashing in on her signature look, partnering with Classique Eyewear on a line of frames called “The LL Collection.” “People have been asking me about my eyewear style for years. Finally I decided – why not design my own line – so other people can see the world like I do,” she says. The new series includes streamlined pieces in black and tortoiseshell, as well as embellished options punctuated with rhinestones and etchings. “I worked with Classique Eyewear to design a line that represents the look I love: one that can be worn from day into night, that’s classic but stylish, that frames the face and lifts the eyes, but doesn’t speak before you have a chance to,” she declares. The star goes on to describe her aesthetic: “My eyewear generally has a cat-eyed look. Think sexy librarian, not retro grandma,” and says that her new collection was created largely for “women with style,” but that “some frames are more unisex and could look cute on stylish men, too!” Each item is named after one of her songs, and will be available for purchase in spring of next year.

It’s about time. True, Lisa has always made her music the center of her career but, as I said, she is so universally identified with the glasses that she wears that it only makes sense for her to launch her own line of eyewear. I don’t even wear glasses and I want a pair of LL glasses :) But, even with this new project coming to light, I believe Lisa has an even more important endeavor to fill her world … a little newborn endeavor named Lyla Rose. Yay!! Congratulations are in order for singer/songwriter Lisa Loeb and her hubby Roey Hershkovitz who became proud parents of a bouncing baby girl on Sunday!! People magazine is reporting that the happy parents named their little girl Lyla Rose Loeb Hershkovitz!!

It’s a baby girl for singer Lisa Loeb and her husband Roey Hershkovitz, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively. Lyla Rose Loeb Hershkovitz arrived Sunday morning at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and is the first child for the couple. Loeb, 41, and Hershkovitz, 31, a music production supervisor for The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, announced that they were expecting in September. The couple met in 2006 at a business meeting and married last January.

You may recall that little Lyla Rose, in bump form, made her red carpet debut in October and here she is already. As I mentioned before, I was lucky enough to spend Thanksgiving dinner with Lisa, Roey and the not-yet-born Lyla Rose last week but little did any of us know that she would be making her entrance into the world so soon. I understand she wasn’t due to be born until Xmas week … but I guess she couldn’t wait any longer. Much, much love and congrats goes out to the happy family!!

Singer Lisa Loeb and her husband Roey Hershkovitz are going to be parents, her rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively. “They’re excited to welcome their first child this winter,” says Loeb’s manager Janet Billig Rich. Loeb, 41, and Hershkovitz , 31, a music production supervisor for The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, met in 2006 at a business meeting and were engaged last November. Their winter wonderland-themed wedding, featuring all-white centerpieces and tiny deer figurines, was held at Manhattan restaurant Brasserie 8½ in January.

Lisa Loeb is one of my fave singer-songwriters and I couldn’t be more thrilled that she is happily building a new family. I used to love watching her one-season reality show #1 Single on E! that chronicled Lisa’s attempts to find love … well, it looks like she finally found the love of her life and will soon welcome another loved one into her life. She looks stunning with that pregs glow … let the bump watch commence!
