Yesterday we saw pics of Lindsay Lohan on the set of a magazine photoshoot at a private residence in the Hollywood Hills (on the same day that word came out that Linds confirmed that she and Samantha Ronson are “together”) and I noted that she spent an awful lot of time on the phone in between takes. I guessed that she might’ve been chatting with Samantha … it looks like I was right. Here are new pics of Lindsay and Sam at that private residence … dancing together in between takes:

OMG … I love it. Clearly these two were meant to be together … happy and content, L. Ron make such a supercute couple. I just love these two together … I sincerely hope they stay together forever :)

Earlier today we got sorta official confirmation that Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson are, more or less, involved in a romantic relationship … and in completely unrelated Lindsay news, here are a few photos of Linds posing for a fashion magazine photoshoot at a private residence in the hills of Hollywood, CA yesterday afternoon:

In between takes, Linds puffed on an endless stream of cigarettes and chatted ceaselessly on the phone … most likely with girlfriend Samantha. As if I needed more reason to love me some Lindsay … I mean, I hate the smoking but I do love that she is so happily settled with Samantha — and is finally being open about it. They make a great couple and I hope they stay together forever. If Lindsay gives up the cancer sticks, she’ll be able to enjoy much more time with Samantha so … she should just quit already.

Hap-hap Happy Day! I had been hesitant to speculate about the relationship enjoyed between Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson because I was not willing to make a full determination of the parameters of their involvement until one or both of them went on the record about it. Up until now, I was happy to refer to them as BFFs because even if they were involved romantically, calling them BFFs would still be valid. BUT, last night Lindsay was a guest on the sex-advice radio program Loveline (hosted by Dr. Drew and Stryker) and she seemed to confirm that she and Samantha are “going out” with one another. I, for one, am thrilled for them both … and am very happy to know that they are, apparently, in love with one another. Here is a cute pic of L. Ron enjoying one another’s company at the 6th Annual TV Guide Emmy Afterparty on Sunday night (which was held at The Kress in LA) and a direct transcription of Lindsay‘s confirmation to DJ Stryker on Loveline last night:

Stryker: What’s your plan for the rest of the night? You gonna watch your girl spin at that TV Guide party and watch the Bravery?
LL: I’m here to support, I’m here to support and I love the Bravery so …
Stryker: Yeah, they’re awesome … now you guys, you and Samantha have been going out for how long now?
LL: [Laughs]
Stryker: Like 20, 2 years, 1 year, 5 months, 2 months?
LL: A long, very long time.
Stryker: Well good, I hope you guys stay together. You’re a very lovely looking couple.
LL: Thank you very much.

Stryker also asked if she and Sam would like to come on a future ep of Loveline together and Linds said that they might possibly do that. Wee! I am so happy for the both of them … they both look so happy, happier than I’ve ever seen them before they got together. They are officially my fave new Hollywood couple!!!! Incidentally, the majority of Lindsay‘s interview had to do with the tragic plane crash involving Travis Barker and DJ AM, the last bit about the L. Here is our first look at the new cover artwork for the upcoming Xtina Aguilera Greatest Hits album titled Keeps Gettin’ Better: A Decade of Hits which is scheduled for release this Fall:

I mean … I don’t really get the astronaut vibe of this album artwork but I can appreciate that homegirl opted out of wearing the gaudy red lipstick so … thumbs up. In other Hollywood “It” Girl music news … Lindsay Lohan‘s new single Playground will be released to radio on September 30th and will be available for sale on iTunes on October 7th. Her album Spirit In The Dark will drop November 4th. Beyoncé will 2 new singles on the same day that both Rihanna (Breakin’ Dishes) and Britney Spears (Womanizer) are set to release their singles (October 7th). If I Were A Boy (which reportedly has a pop feel) and Single Ladies (which, again reportedly, has a more “urban” feel) are both set to be released before her as-yet untitled new album is released in December. OH and don’t forget … Britney‘s Womanizer track will be released to radio tomorrow. Yeesh … there is awful lot of girlpop coming our way … um, or should I just say a lot of awful girlpop music is coming — run for you life?

The sixth season of Project Runway, which will be moving from Bravo to Lifetime TV, has a tentative debut date of January 20, 2009 and has already secured the first celebrity guest judge — Lindsay Lohan. I gotta say, I kinda love it … and I’m encouraged that the move to Lifetime may not be so terrible after all:

Jennifer Lopez might have been forced to skip “Project Runway’s” season five finale due to a foot injury, but the hit reality design show will return in 2009 on Lifetime with Lindsay Lohan sitting in the guest judge’s chair for the season premiere. Access Hollywood has learned that the actress will help the judges decide whose fashion is fiercest for the show’s first episode on its new network. The 22-year-old actress, who has been in New York recently shooting episodes of “Ugly Betty,” filmed the premiere episode on Thursday. A source told Access the tentative premiere date for “Runway” on Lifetime is January 20, while the season five finale airs October 15 on Bravo.

IEEEE! While I still may have concerns over the new incarnation of the show that I love so dearly, I am really excited by this news. I knew that the contestants for season 6 had already been cast and I heard that filming was already underway but this is the first concrete news that we’ve gotten thus far. It’s interesting that the the premiere ep of season 6 for Lifetime was filmed one day before the season 5 finale ep for Bravo was filmed. Even tho there has been much talk about the new version of Project Runway moving to LA, I’m comforted by the fact that the season 6 premiere ep was filmed here in NYC. It’s still too early to make any judgments … but I’m pleased with this development and am really looking forward to seeing Linds as guest judge next season.

UPDATE: Pink reader Drew gives me the head’s up that Project Runway has begin filming in LA this week, the show has taken over the third floor of one of the buildings at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, he writes:

The rumors about Project Runway filming in LA aren’t rumors anymore. They’re
filming as we speak over at FIDM in downtown LA. They’ve taken over the 3 story in one of FIDM’s buildings. It’s exciting, but students are already passing around a petition stating how irritated they are. PR took over the newest addition to the school and have prevented the students from using the good equipment and supplies. They’re now stuck with hand-me down mannequins and machines and they are PISSED! Good public relations for FIDM, bad news for the students who are paying $25k a year to go there.

Interesting. It should be noted that The Hills also films at FIDM in LA … I wonder how they actually go about with all the teaching with all that filming going on. Also interesting, former Project Runway contestant Nick Verreos is now an instructor at FIDM … small world.

Okay, even tho I already devoted an entire post to Britney Spears‘s triumphant night at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, any mention of the show by ALL of the press (including THIS report from Time magazine) seems to devote a good portion of their reporting to Miss Britney Spears. But, there were other people and other things going on at the VMAs yesterday … here are a few pics of some of the folks who walked the red carpet yesterday (it should be noted that Britney did not walk the red carpet, choosing instead to keep her revelation of the night strictly for the show itself):

For the most part, I found the red carpet pretty tame … I mean, there really weren’t that many “hot messes” to speak of. Of course you had your usual poor fashion choices (that red and black dress did not really work on P!nk for me, nor did I like Rihanna‘s outfit choice … Xtina looked hawt!) but that’s to be expected. Personally, I had a hard time focusing while on the red carpet … we were lined up in the blazing SoCal sun hours before the first celeb walked the carpet … it wasn’t that pleasant. I did get to snap some fun pics and meet a few very COOL folks … but I’ll post those pics a bit later on.

As for the show itself, I have not yet been able to watch it in its entirety, properly but I did manage to catch most of it on the huge screens that were plastered all over the VIP green room last night. Lindsay Lohan has reportedly turned down an offer of $700,000 to pose nude in the 55th anniversary issue of Playboy magazine … which I find very interesting, considering she was totally fine with posing totally nekkid in the pages of New York magazine earlier this year completely free of charge:

IT’S once nude, twice shy for Lindsay Lohan. The Sapphic-leaning star has turned down a $700,000 offer to do an eight-page topless spread in Playboy’s 55th-anniversary issue this January. “If there’s nudity, then the answer’s no . . . She’s not going down the [New York] magazine road again,” Lohan’s rep told Playboy’s creative consultant, Hal Lifson, referring to Lindsay’s naked Marilyn Monroe tribute last winter. Lifson said he hoped to have Lohan do a tribute to ’60s sex kitten Ann-Margret and her film “Kitten With a Whip,” which is one of Lohan’s faves.

Psh, I’m totally with her on this. That Playboy magazine would offer her anything less than $1 million bucks is a joke — an insult, even! It’s interesting, tho, that she’s now taken up this position of no more nudity. There seems to be a notion that the New York magazine spread (where Lindsay recreated famous nekkid photos of Marilyn Monroe) was artistic and, therefore, OK and Playboy is more akin to porn … but nekkid is nekkid, y’all. I say, if they up the offer to a million bucks, she reconsider … yes?

Michael Lohan is at it again. As the estranged father of Lindsay Lohan, Daddy Lohan has started talking to the press again in order to try and whip up some media attention for himself. Michael decided to go to the media with his latest grievance — he believes that Samantha Ronson, Lindsay‘s constant companion, is planning to write a tell-all book to cash in on her relationship with Lindsay. In response, both Lindsay and Samantha both refute his claim and have fired back responses to Daddy Lohan each on their official My Space profiles, natch:

Looks like the reconciliation has officially ended. Lindsay Lohan is lashing out at her often-estranged dad, Michael, who has been openly critical of her relationship with Samantha Ronson … Lingering tensions came to head this week, when Michael Lohan dissed Ronson in the media. “Samantha is using my daughter,” he told E! News, as reports swirled that Ronson was planning a tell-all memoir. “People never even knew who Samantha Ronson was until she met Lindsay. She was just some Los Angeles DJ. And now she’s writing a book?”

Woot! At long last Lindsay Lohan has finally gotten on board the blogging bandwagon. It appears that L. Lo was either not privy to or had no idea what her official My Space login credentials were which therefore hindered her ability to blog for the masses. Someone clued her in and she has, once again, started composing her own blog posts — which is very good news, I think. In her latest post, Lindsay vehemently denies the reports that her 14 year old sister Ali got breast implants and colorfully explains how that could never be so. Linds also gives a little shout-out to her BFF Samantha Ronson which provides a precious AWWWWW moment at the end of the post. hey everyone..
i just had to share something that came up today and it made me feel a bit sick to my stomach.
so, here’s the visual…
me and my friend Patrick walking into a store, and two paparazzi come up out of nowhere (like usual) and start throwing questions at me…
one of them being, “Hey Lindsay, what do you have to say about people commenting on your sisters implants?”
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my response simply was, “Did you really just ask me that? She is a 14 year old girl, and you are a pedophile!”
i was caught out of nowhere so i didn’t really come up with the proper response at the time.. there’s many other things that i felt like saying, but why give it to a random guy with a camera so that he can make money!
All i am trying to say is, is that, i was raised with a wonderful family surrounding me, of course we have our ups and downs, but all in all my mother taught us to appreciate what we have been given. Nor would she ever encourage, or allow a 14 year old child to alter her body.
i am not judging people that do, but i am just saying that its not something that my family finds necessary to do, especially when you’re not even fully developed yet!
It is hard enough being 14 years old and you have enough insecurities to begin with, then add being in the public eye…
i just find it really disconcerting that people have to focus on the negative and that some people are sooooo bored with their own lives that they need to manifest lies to hurt another person.
in a more positive light…
i got some great clothes from alexander wang and i miss samantha cuz she’s out of town :(

You go, girl! I am so happy that Lindsay is blogging again … now we can hear the info straight from the source rather than thru the untrustworthy grapevine. While blogposts by someone like Courtney Love are fun to read because of their incoherent insanity, I am very interested in reading blogposts directly from Lindsay because she offers a perspective and insight into her life that cannot be replicated by anyone else. Blog on, Lindsay! I know I’ll be reading!

Here are a few pics from Samantha Ronson‘s 31st birthday celebration here in SoCal this week that included trips to three different nightclubs all in the same night … People magazine reports that her BFF Lindsay Lohan was close-boy her side all night long and even presented her with what is described as a “lingering kiss” after a rousing song of Happy Birthday:

Samantha Ronson had to work on her birthday Wednesday, but it wasn’t all bad – she had Lindsay Lohan by her side! Seeming inseparable, DJ Ronson, now 31, lit up the turntables while Lohan, 22, stayed close, whispering to her, smoking and holding court at a table of friends inside Los Angeles’s Crown Bar. At promptly five past midnight, the music was silenced and Lohan led the club in a rendition of “Happy Birthday” while presenting Ronson a cake and a lingering kiss. Between handing out cake to their friends, the gals got cozy in the deejay both and snapped photos of themselves. Lohan spent most of the early morning dancing back-to-back with Ronson, who closed out her set around 1:30 a.m.

It must have been after her DJ gig that Lindsay had this pimped out ice cream truck come out for some late night fun. I love seeing pics of L. Ron together … they always look so happy together, whatever is going on, it’s a good thing. Happy Birthday, Sam!!!
