Actress Lindsay Lohan confirmed to WWD that she is no longer part of Ungaro’s design team. At Monday afternoon’s Kenzo show, Lohan was asked why she hadn’t been at Ungaro earlier that morning. She replied: “Because I don’t work for them anymore.” Prompted for more specifics, she noted, “There’s legal things going on; I can’t really discuss it.” After hiring Lohan last year, former Ungaro CEO and President Mounir Moufarrige told WWD, “Designer-led fashion is likely not to be enough. It’s a slow process going the traditional route.” Moufarrige stepped down last December and declined to comment on Lohan and Ungaro when reached on Monday.

And so … all is right, once again, in the Fashion world. Ya know, I’m all for Lindsay Lohan gettin’ her shizz straight and putting her life back together in a positive way but she really has no biz meddling with the work of famed design houses like Ungaro. It was a risky move to name her creative director but, as we saw, it was a move that did not pan out. I would’ve been shocked if Ungaro had decided to keep her on as an employee … this move is in their best interests, I’m certain of it. BUT, never you fear ye fans of Lohan Fashion … don’t forget that L. Lo has announced that she is launching her OWN LINE OF CLOTHING … so with or without Ungaro, she’s gonna keep trying to make the fashion thing work. I wish her well … but hold no hope for success. Homegirl needs to settle down for a while, chill out and just stop. It’s so sad to watch her slow degradation continue to move forward unfettered :(

Despite a rather large age difference, it seems like Lindsay Lohan has been on the showbiz circuit almost as long as Boy George. And though she spends most of her time in LA, she’s known to enjoy a London club night almost as much as the Culture Club legend. They’ve also spent more time than most in life’s fast lane. So when the pair bumped into each other outside television studios in London, the pair made the most of the chance meeting with a chat and a friendly cuddle. Wearing a yellow trilby and a chunky gold-coloured necklace, the 80s pop singer’s face was painted with his usual statement make-up. As well as the customary blue eye shadow and slick of red lipstick, Boy George had a trickle of red and black paint streaking down his face from under his left eye. A blob of black and red paint was also wedged firmly in his left ear. Perhaps the pair were exchanging make-up tips as they posed for photographers outside London Television Studios on the Southbank. Mirroring Boy George’s black and gold outfit, Lohan was dressed in an all-black ensemble, which she finished off with a pair of black suede stilettos with towering gold heels. After her encounter with Boy George, Lohan went on to DJ at Sketch for the launch of a new Nokia phone. Lohan seemed to give a nod to George by wearing a black trilby for her set and it’s to be hoped for the sake of clubbers that she borrowed a few musical tips too.

OY!! What a mess … er, both of them. It makes total sense that these two would want to be BFFs. Boy prolly wants to leech off of Lindsay’s remaining (and quickly dwindling) fame and Lindsay is prolly under the impression that Boy is still a star. Tsk Tsk. Welp, if Lindsay really does make good on her threat to move to London then this may actually be the beginning of a new friendship. God save the Queen, Heaven help Great Britain.

Granted, Lindsay seems happy to bare a breast or buttock whenever asked but I don’t hate these photos. Okay, I hate the ever-present cigarette but these aren’t the worst photos ever. The girl is just so erratic … it’s like she doesn’t know what she wants to be. I hope she figures it out soon, for her sake. HMMM … could this be Lindsay’s new thing? Whenever she does something a few times in a row — like that stupid arm behind the head pose, or the finger in the mouth pose, or the blowing kisses to the camera pose — it becomes her “thing”. Maybe the guys looked thirsty, mebbe they looked like they needed an energy boost … whatever the case may be, it would seem that Lindsay felt compelled to share her beverage with the paps. In all honesty, Lindsay has been behaving herself lately … these photogs must’ve really been buggin’ her. In any event, I suspect that L. Lo is safely back in the UK … her new home, sweet, home. If this actually turns out to be true and Lindsay does move to the UK permanently … well, firstly, I have to pass along my deepest apologies to our friends on the other side of the pond. Secondly, tho, I think it might be best for her to get as far away from her toxic parent, daddy Michael Lohan, so mebbe this move will be for the best. LINDSAY LOHAN today tells all about her lesbian relationship with SAMANTHA RONSON – and says she wants her lover back. The Hollywood tearaway had a fiery 18-month fling with DJ Sam. It ended last April after the pair were frequently pictured fighting and crying in public. Yesterday Lindsay exclusively revealed to The Sun the extent of her devastating drug and drink problems, which she admitted could have killed her. In Day 2 of our exclusive interview, she reveals she is still in love with gay Samantha, 32 – sister of super producer Mark, the man behind AMY WINEHOUSE hit Rehab. Bisexual Lindsay, who has had three stints in rehab, says she will never love another woman and plans to go back to BOYS if she can’t win Sam back. Mean Girls star Lindsay says: “I never really thought about women before, it kind of just happened with Samantha. It surprised me. We’re still in touch. We live in the same apartment building in LA and see each other often. She has always been one of my best friends. If I wasn’t with Samantha, I would probably be with a boy next. She’s the only woman I’ve been attracted to. We love each other. We might reconcile the relationship, maybe. I don’t know.” Former child actress Lindsay – nicknamed Li-Lo – admits her relationship with Sam was “passionate”. She also reveals they split because Sam’s family and friends did not approve of her and the way her life is constantly played out in front of the paparazzi. She says: “There have been a lot of ups and downs. Her family is very involved in her relationships and that was difficult. I think Samantha was growing as a celebrity and a musician and I think that might have scared her family. But I’ve always been her biggest supporter and, yeah, I love her.”

“All the fighting stuff was just because all her friends had got involved and made me an outcast, which wasn’t fair to Samantha. I think it was a jealousy thing in terms of her becoming more famous than the rest of them. She kind of does what she wants now. It’s changed, so who’s to say we won’t be together again?” Lindsay will say little on the men in her life, admitting only that former fling Colin Farrell was “a long time ago”, and that Calum Best was “over really quickly and not worth talking about. Next!”. When I ask about Heath Ledger, the late Batman star she was rumoured to be secretly dating when he died of an overdose in January 2008, she goes quiet and says only: “That’s kind of a touchy subject. Sorry. He was a really good friend to me for a long time and it was really sad when that happened.” But she is happy to talk about Sam and claims most of their time together was happy and peaceful, despite dozens of pictures of Lindsay looking worse for wear after nights out with Sam ended in tears. She says: “Maybe I was upset, or we had a tiff about something stupid. A picture can tell a thousand different words and lies. They want the negative, they want the drama. They want to say, ‘Oh Lindsay’s distraught, here we go again, should Sam leave?’. Mostly it was great. Everyone has ups and downs, it’s normal. But in front of the public eye they’re going to take the downs and make it seem like they’re a million times worse. That comes with the territory. It was a big deal for me because I’ve never had a relationship as public as that, especially being with a girl for the first time. That was really scary for me. But I didn’t care because I love her” … Trying to get Lindsay to concentrate on talking to me when all she really cares about is how many dresses she can blag while she is in London is no mean feat. Eventually we settle down to a searingly honest chat. Things pick up further as she comes alive during our photoshoot, narrowing her eyes and sucking her fingers with all the sex appeal of a young Angelina Jolie. It is a whirlwind of a meeting and, if I’m honest, none of us are particularly taken with Ms Lohan. But when you hear about her childhood with two warring parents and a father who was in and out of jail, it becomes clear she is something of a damaged young girl … “My childhood was very… well, my mom was amazing but my dad was there and then not there” … Lindsay and her dad no longer talk after he repeatedly spoke out about her problems to the Press and accused her of being addicted to prescription drugs as recently as December. Lindsay, who has three younger siblings – brother Michael, sister Aliana and youngest brother Dakota – says: “Your family should be your security blanket. I don’t know why he did that, to be honest. My Dad experimented with drugs including cocaine and I think maybe that had a lot to do with it. When I was younger he would disappear for three days then show up and we’d be walking on eggshells because we would be nervous of what he would say or do. I would put myself in between him and my siblings and do the best I could to protect them. Maybe I didn’t realise how much it was affecting me as a person and what it could do to me in the long run. He never hit me, it was more verbal.” She even claimed: “When I was younger he hit my mum, but I don’t really remember that part of it. I think my family is part of the reason I’ve made mistakes. I think it’s just the pressure of wanting to please everyone. That’s always been hard.” And with that, the flaky, selfish Hollywood star crumbles away and I am left staring at a very mixed-up, confused little girl who just wants to be loved. As I leave her to party in her hotel suite, I can only hope that one day she will let somebody do just that.

Well … she really lets it all hang out don’t she? I’m certain her father, Michael Lohan, will have much to say in response but — again — I think it’s a good thing that she’s finally opening up about her life. No matter the reason why she is doing it, they say confession is good for the soul. Lindsay will have to make serious changes in her life if she wants to truly rehabilitate her life. She can do it … if she wants to. I’m not certain she really wants to just yet.

HOLLYWOOD wild child LINDSAY LOHAN today lays bare the extent of her drug addiction – and confesses she came close to killing herself through a heady mix of alcohol, cocaine and mind-bending drugs. And she tells of her “terror” at collapsing on her bathroom floor after taking sleeping pills. The bisexual actress, who has been to rehab three times and was jailed after being caught with cocaine, has always played down the extent of her drug abuse. But today the 23-year-old star of hit films such as Herbie Fully Loaded and Mean Girls sensationally reveals she hit rock bottom – and risked blowing her entire career. Speaking exclusively to The Sun she tells how her problems got worse when her father MICHAEL, a former drug addict and jailbird who beat up Lindsay’s mother DINA, started talking to the Press about his daughter in 2007. Lindsay, nicknamed Li-Lo, says: “When my father was going public, that’s when I hit rock bottom. I abused substances too much and it wasn’t the answer to my problems. People need to know that. I tried to mask my problems with alcohol, cocaine and mind-altering substances. Now I’m in a place where I don’t need to use anything and I can feel emotions because I choose to. I learnt from my mistakes and I’m now healthy and happier. I never want to be close to losing everything I worked for and aspired to have my whole life. Mind-altering substances are so dangerous. If I can teach others, especially teens, by sharing my experiences, then that’s what I will continue to do. I’ve made some dreadful mistakes but learned from them – that has probably saved my life.”

Wow … I mean, just because Lindsay is saying these things doesn’t necessarily mean she’s taken them to heart … but still, a public confessional like this does bode well for her supposed healthy new lifestyle. Lindsay sees a therapist fortnightly and attends weekly alcohol education lessons. She says the first time she sought help for her addiction was in 2007 after collapsing in her LA bathroom, waking surrounded by cascading water – and terrified. She says: “I went to rehab three times. The first time I checked myself in because I had taken Ambien. It’s a sleeping aid but it makes you hallucinate. I’d run a bath and fallen asleep on the floor and the bath had overflowed. When I woke up I was so scared, I called my therapist and said, ‘Can I just go somewhere for a month? I’m around bad people and I need to take care of myself’. I was terrified, so I put myself in. There was a point when I didn’t know how to say ‘No’ and I was trying to please everyone. I was doing pop and making films. I was young and thought I could go out, have fun, then go on set and record. I ran myself down and I lost track of who I was.” Talking of the first time she was caught with cocaine, following a car smash in May 2007, she confesses: “It was in a purse and I was with friends. I wasn’t trying to lie to police. “I was only aware of cocaine because of my dad. I was terrified of it. But I tried it because I was stubborn, stupid, and wanted to see what it was like. It’s not something I ever want to do again. It made me feel like shit. It became uninteresting to me. I’m hyper anyway and I have that kind of personality so I don’t need something like that.” … She says: “I wasn’t driving like a maniac. There were paparazzi and their flashes were going off into the window. I tried to turn, then I sped up because they sped up. That’s when I hit the tree. I just thank God everyone was OK. But it was scary. I had three drinks, at most. I’ve been stupid and childish and I wasn’t thinking.” Police then found the cocaine in her purse and Lindsay entered rehab for a second time, this time in Malibu, for six weeks. On her release Lindsay had to wear an alcohol monitoring bracelet on her ankle. Yet just two weeks later, in July 2007, she was arrested for drink driving and cops again found cocaine, this time in her pocket. She went to rehab in Utah. In August 2007 she pleaded guilty to cocaine use and driving under the influence. She was jailed for a day and ordered to complete an alcohol education programme. Lindsay, who has spent much of the past week partying in London, where she also hosted a fundraiser for Haiti, says: “I’m allowed to drink now but I know my limits. There are certain situations where I have obligations. There’s no reason to (drink) because I don’t want to feel like shit in the morning. She says: “The thing is, at the times I was going out a lot and being seen everywhere, I would have been in college. My brother, who is 18, and his friends go out to bars and stuff till whatever time. That’s what you do in college. Mine was all in the public eye so it was magnified that much more. I’ve now learned my boundaries and I’ve been very good with cleaning house with people who I know didn’t have my best intentions at heart. A lot of people in LA are very self destructive. Partying so hard simply isn’t worth it. Life is worth living and there is so much to do and experience, it’s wonderful.”

I’m sorry … while confessing all of her past substance abuse is a good, positive thing I do not believe that Lindsay Lohan actually “knows her limits”. I’m of the mind that addicts may believe they know their limits but they do NOT. It would be in her best interest to stay away from all alcohol and drugs from here on out … but the fact that she will not seems proof to me that she cannot. She may “know her limits” now but when things get rough, I honestly believe she will forget her “limits” and go off the deep end again. I do commend her for being so open about her dangerous behavior. I just wish she would take her disease seriously and would swear off all substances once and for all.
