First Lady Michelle Obama, her daughters Malia and Sasha, her mother Marian Robinson and some friends were spotted chillin’ in a skybox at the Staples Center in downtown LA last night for Game 6 of the NBA Finals featuring the LA Lakers vs. the Boston Celtics. The Obama ladies have been in town since Sunday, hittin’ up a few famous eateries, and surprised everyone by showing up at the game last night:

The President of the United States might be the basketball player in the family. But it was the Obama women who turned out en masse as surprise attendees at the Lakers V Boston Celtics last night. First Lady Michelle Obama, 46, daughters Sasha, 9, Malia, 11, and Mrs Obama’s mother Marian Robinson, 72, pitched up at Game 6 of the intensely competitive NBA Finals. While the games typically attract a huge celebrity turnout, all of Hollywood were abuzz with the news that the Obama ladies were in town. All eyes were on the group as they enjoyed the penultimate game in the series between the sporting superstars from a private box at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Even the presence of Cheryl Cole’s mentor and rumoured new love will.i.am in their box, also intensely watching the game, couldn’t shift the limelight from the group who were being openly filmed by many spectators on their mobile phones. Mrs Obama was presented with a Lakers jersey by a club official, and fans clamoured to talk to the First Lady who seemed more than happy to accommodate them … Mrs Obama watched the Los Angeles Lakers extend the NBA finals to a decisive seventh game with a 89-67 victory over the Boston Celtics.

Of course the nation’s First Ladies weren’t the only big names in the hiz showing their support for the Lakers, a bunch of celebs were also spotted at the Staples Center last night to cheer on the Lakers … who went on to DESTROY the Celtics by a score of 89-67! Here are some of the other celebs who were at the game last night along with some deets:

Dirrrty singer Christina Aguilera sang the US national anthem, and the rest of the evening’s entertainment was taken up by watching both the game, and the anguished looks of the assembled celebrities. Courtside regulars included Jack Nicholson, Spike Lee, David Arquette, Leonardo DiCaprio and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. Transformers star Megan Fox hid under her baseball cap as she arrived with boyfriend Brian Austin Green, and married actors Josh Brolin and Diane Lane were in the arena. While British socialite Peaches Geldof made an appearance with director boyfriend Eli Roth at the event which is the showbiz town’s hottest ticket this week. Defending champions the Lakers forced the Celtics to the limit for the first time since 2005. Star player Kobe Bryant said: ‘I was very happy. We did a great job defensively. ‘We kept them out of the middle, kept them out of the paint, did a good job on the boards. It was a solid effort by us.’ A champion will be crowned Thursday night at Staples Center. The First Lady, her daughters and her mother have been in town since Sunday, enjoying dinner at a number of top eateries and stopping by legendary hot dog stand Pink’s before watching Tuesday night’s game.

Oh man, what a game … actually, it wasn’t really a game so much as it was a COMPLETE BLOW OUT! The Lakers dominated the entire game and looked like they could not be stopped. The Lakers will face the Celtics for the 7th and final game on Thursday night here in LA … the winner will be the 2010 NBA Champs. I’m pretty certain that most of the celebs featured here, save for the Obamas, will be in attendance tomorrow night for the final game of the championship series. Here’s hoping the Lakers can put on a repeat performance of last night’s incredible game. Woot!!

Now that we know that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are engaged to be wed, the question becomes are Leonardo DiCaprio and Bar Rafaeli engaged as well? The couple who have been together for a long time (despite the occasional ups and downs) were spotted enjoying a romantic Valentine’s Dinner together this past weekend … and those who were there to bear witness are saying it looked like Leo popped the question. Bar was also photographed wearing a ring on her finger (tho, IMHO, it does not look like an engagement ring to me) so … could they really be engaged?

With Sunday being Valentine’s Day, it would have been the perfect opportunity to get down on bended knee. So the question is, has Leonardo DiCaprio proposed to his on-off girlfriend Bar Refaeli? If the shiny gold ring on her engagement finger is anything to go by, it could the case. The Israeli model, 24, was spotted with the sparkler as she dined with Leo and his mother at the charity gala dinner at the Berlin International Film Festival today. Last month the pair were pictured together at a basketball match, setting tongues wagging that they had rekindled their tempestuous relationship. They split in June 2009, reportedly because 35-year-old Leo was not ready to settle down and move in with her. But now it appears the actor could be ready to bite the bullet. German newspaper Bild reported that the Hollywood star proposed to Bar in the Hotel de Rome on Valentine’s Day. Later that day, the pair shared a romantic evening meal at the city’s Grill Royal restaurant. On Monday, Leo’s German mother Irmelin, 65, joined her son and Bar at the Cinema for Peace Gala 2010 charity dinner. The event is held every year as part of the film festival, also known as the Berlinale. DiCaprio dressed for the occasion in a smart tuxedo dinner suit while Bar wore an eggshell silk number. Bild newspaper also quoted a source saying the actor’s mother had been urging him to make an honest woman of Bar. The insider told the publication: ‘She previously urged him to marry Gisele Bündchen without success. Now she said to him, “Don’t make the same mistake a second time!”‘

HMMM … VD is certainly a good time to propose and considering Leo and Bar have been together for some time it makes sense that they might’ve gotten engaged. I find it hard to believe, tho, that the ring that Bar is wearing is an engagement ring. Considering how private this couple is, I doubt we’ll get any sort of confirmation either way. It’d be nice to see these two settle down but something tells me that Leonardo DiCaprio is not the marrying kind. What do y’all think … are they gettin’ hitched?

People magazine is reporting that the very on-again, off-again couple Leonardo DiCaprio and Bar Refaeli have decided to call things off again … they’re dunzo, y’all:

On-again off-again couple Leonardo DiCaprio and Bar Refaeli have called it quits once more, sources confirm to PEOPLE. “They’re taking time off for the time being, they’ve split,” says a source. “It could just end up as a break but for now they’re doing their own thing.” That much was certainly apparent over the weekend as the Israeli-born Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, 23, walked the red carpet at Hollywood Life’s 11th Annual Young Hollywood Awards solo, refusing to speak about DiCaprio, while the Titanic star, 34, hit the hotspot Avenue in New York City, where he was seen chatting with another woman. “He was standing at the bar in front of everyone talking to a girl the entire night – and it wasn’t Bar,” says one onlooker. “It was in no way behavior for a guy who has a serious girlfriend.” (DiCaprio and Refaeli were then reportedly photographed together in Los Angeles on Monday night.) According to a Refaeli source, the model’s desire to get serious may have caused the actor to have doubts about their relationship. “She wanted to move faster than he did, she wanted to move in together,” the source says, “so he broke it off.”

First Jiley are dunzo and then these two break-up … what the eff is going on? At least we can take heart that it appears that L. Ron have gotten back together again. It should be noted that US Weekly is reporting via a source of their own that Leo and Bar have not broken up:

Hahahaha! Way to come back US Weekly. Considering the track records between these two publications, I’d place more value on the report from People. Leonardo DiCaprio doesn’t strike me as the settling down type of guy … so I can see how pressure from a girl to take things in a more serious direction might make him head for the hills. I’m sure that the supermodel will have no problem finding a new guy … and I have no doubt that Leo will quickly find himself a new chick.
