Britney Spears, who kicked off a 3-night engagement at Madison Square Garden here in NYC last night with a performance of her show The Circus starring Britney Spears, made a special appearance in Times Square yesterday afternoon to personally deliver a pair of ringside tickets to a pair of lucky fans who follow her on Twitter. All day long yesterday, Britney tweeted clues to the location of a pair of hidden tickets and two adept fans found the hiding place to win the tickets … which were personally delivered by Brit Brit herself:

As you can see, Brit was accompanied by her assistant Brett Miller and her manager Larry Rudolph … also, you can see that the lucky fans not only won a pair of tickets to last night’s show but they also each won a bottle of Britney’s newest fragrance Circus Fantasy by Britney Spears — isn’t that exciting? Back in January we learned that Britney Spears’s newest album, Circus, was certified platinum after selling one million copies. This week, during Britney’s tour stop in Toronto, Canada, Brit Brit was awarded with a huge plaque in honor of her album reaching platinum status. Here are a couple pics of Britney with her manager Larry Rudolph and some industry folks posing with her latest award:

Jive Records presented Britney with a plaque yesterday to certify 1 million units sold! Circus was certified Platinum by the RIAA! Congratulations Brit! Britney and manager, Larry Rudolph, met with Barry Weiss, Tom Carrabba, Peter Thea and Teresa LaBabera-Whites, to celebrate the great news.

Aww … Britney looks so happy but also so tired. She is working really hard on this tour but she is hanging in there like a champ. My initial fear was that Britney would start out the tour strong and then begin to wane — after all, it had been many years since she had performed on the concert stage. But I understand that she’s been chuggin’ along putting on great performance after great performance, night after night. It’s a nice sight to see our dear Britney hoisting up awards like this … it’s been a long time since we’ve seen pictures like this. It used to be de rigeur for her to receive these platinum awards soon after she released albums back in the day. It’s amazing to see her back on top … where she belongs. The Circus starring Britney Spears continues to wind its way around the country. It arrives here in SoCal in a few weeks … and I’m still waiting ;)

Britney Spears, who is currently making her way across North America on her The Circus starring Britney Spears Tour, played a show in Montreal, Canada last night and afterward gathered up her posse and made a grand appearance at Tribe Hyperclub to dance the night away. Brit’s closest friends and associates on this tour — assistants Felicia Culotta and Brett Miller along with her very loyal manager Larry Rudolph — enjoyed the Montreal nightlife with our dear Britney last night … here are a few photos:

As you can see, the nightclub literally rolled out the red carpet for Britney’s arrival. I understand her troop of backup dancers also came out for the festivities. Last night, Britney sent out a tweet on her official Twitter profile that read:

Went to Tribe in Montreal with the dancers after the show last night. We had a really great time. 2 days off in a row! -Brit

It really sounds like Britney is having a great and safe time on this tour. With so many people who genuinely care about her watching over her, I think she is learning that she can have a good time and not put herself in danger. I still have a few weeks to go before I can see her live in concert on this tour … the anticipation is killing me. I’m glad to hear that things are going so well, tho. I can’t wait to see her on the concert stage again.

Bryan Spears, the eldest and least famous of the Spears children, was married to his fiancée Graciella Sanchez (who is manager of the youngest Spears child, Jamie-Lynn) in a quiet ceremony in the Spears family homestate of Louisiana on New Year’s Eve. Britney Spears was in attendance at the NYE nuptials, ensuring that the entire Spears family was on hand to watch the only Spears son get hitched. Because I can’t find a photo of Bryan with Graciella (nor can I find a photo of just Graciella by herself), here is a lovely photo of Bryan with Britney’s longtime manager Larry Rudolph (who make a pretty gruesome twosome) that was snapped earlier this year along with some deets from the wedding ceremony:

Britney Spears made it a cozy New Year’s Eve with her family – seeing big brother Bryan, 31, tie the knot in a private ceremony at New Orleans landmark Latrobe’s on Royal.

“It was beautiful,” a source tells PEOPLE about the elder Spears’s wedding to Graciella Sanchez, 36, longtime manager of little sister Jamie Lynn. “It was only close family, very small and intimate.” While the couple’s engagement may have caught many by surprise – they only recently started dating seriously – the two have been acquaintances for years. “The family was totally excited,” a friend of the family tells PEOPLE. “Graciella’s wonderful. Everybody was happy about it.” The bride looked stunning in a beige-white Carolina Herrera dress, while the groom sported a smart Marc Jacobs suit. As for the guests? Sanchez’s mother and brother were in attendance, as was the entire Spears crew including sisters Britney and Jamie Lynn; their kids Jayden James, Preston and Maddie; Jamie Lynn’s fiancé Casey Aldridge; and parents Jamie and Lynne.

Aww … that is so sweet. I love that Britney spent her New Year’s Eve in the company of her family, bearing witness to a new addition to the Spears clan. I was hoping she would spend a quiet(er) night this year and am happy to hear that’s exactly what happened. Yesterday, Britney was seen paying a visit to the Kentwood Sonic Drive-In where she enjoyed (among other things, I’m sure) one of the eatery’s famous humongous soft drinks (a Cherry Limeade, perhaps?). Bryan Spears has worked extensively with and protected Britney behind the scenes for years … he was there to help his father get a handle on things when Britney needed them most … I wish him nothing but love and prosperity in his new marriage to Graciella. Congrats!!

Britney Spears and her superhuman manager Larry Rudolph gathered up a few security dudes and paid a visit to the Americana outdoor mall in Glendale, CA yesterday to do some Xmas shopping at the new supersize Kitson store that just opened there. As some of you may be well aware, Kitson on Robertson Blvd. in West Hollywood, CA is THE trendy shop for Hollywood “It’ Girls to be seen at normally but Brit Brit made her way out to the new satellite store that just opened at this newish mall in the Valley. Here are a few pics of Britney and her crew trying to make their way into and then out of the store:

I understand that Brit picked up a few Xmas gifts (including toys and matching pajamas) for her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, as well as a few little things for herself. Incidentally, I was at the Americana mall the night before and I also made a pass thru the new Kitson store … now, I’m not trying to say that I set the trend but … well … make of that what you will ;) Because of the constraints placed on her by the terms of her conservatorship, we don’t get to see much of Britney shopping up a storm all over SoCal anymore these days. It’s nice to see that she was able to get out and do some of that again yesterday.
