Being a former boy bander really has its privileges … especially when you consider that *NSync member Lance Bass can’t seem to do anything without having a gaggle of super hot dudes around him at almost all times. Lance recently went on holiday with friends(?) including Brazilian screenwriter Gustavo Marzolla (who he appears to be very close with by the look of some of the photos) in Ecuador and photos of the pals have made their way to the Internets … natch:

This past Saturday night, Lance Bass spent much of his evening partying with a familiar face to some of you Pink readers out there. Lance and his friends partied the night away with former Hot Dude of the Week and fitness model Bryan Thomas at the G Lounge in Philadelphia, PA. Here are a few photos of Lance, Bryan and friends:

Lance Bass, who is currently on tour with Dancing with the Stars: The Tour, was spotted on the streets of Toronto, Canada yesterday in the company of a mysterious male friend … and while things may or may not be of a romantic nature betwixt these two gentlemen, it’s Lance‘s new hair’don’t that has folks talking notice … behold:

Uhhhh … whut? Earlier today we learned that Robert Pattinson got in trubs with the Powers that Be for shaving off all of his trademark hair but I think it’s Lance who should get in serious trubs for deciding on this new haircut. Do they offer prison sentences for bad haircuts cuz, I’d like to make a citizen’s arrest. This look may have worked for Caucasian rappers Vanilla Ice and Snow back in the early ’90′s but … it’s not a good look by today’s standards (OK, I lied … it was never a good look for anyone). I can only hope that Lancey lost a bet or that his DWS cohorts shaved his head while he slept cuz … yeah, I ain’t lovin’ this look. Thoughts?

Britney Spears stepped out on the town last night to celebrate her 27th birthday with a few family and friends at the NYC nightclub Tenjune. After a day filled with live performances and a taped appearance in Rockefeller Center, Brit Brit looked ready to get her party on with some famous friends (Heidi Klum, Lance Bass to name but two) at her circus-themed b-day bash:

Britney Spears’ 27th birthday party Tuesday night ended up being quite a circus. Literally. To tie into the release of her latest album Circus, NYC hot spot Tenjune was transformed into a giant circus tent, complete with with a hot dog stand and popcorn and cotton candy machines emblazoned with the pop star’s name and even a man on stilts and jugglers. Outside the club, a huge screen projected circus imagery. Spears – who had taped a speech to air on the upcoming Rockefeller Center New York City Tree Lighting Ceremony special earlier in the day – arrived in a low-cut gray cocktail dress that showed a lot of cleavage. She smiled throughout the night as she mingled with guests, including her mother Lynne Spears, her manager Larry Rudolph, Lance Bass, Jeremy Piven, Robert Buckley and Ciara. As she was presented with a cake — featuring sparkling candles that tied into the bash’s circus theme — Barry Weiss, CEO and president of Jive Records, told the singer, “We are so proud and so happy to be a part of your life. Looking at your two boys today, it’s an amazing experience” … Added pal Bass, “I’m so proud of her! The album’s amazing. I love when people do themes for their albums. A circus is a lot of fun.”

Oh yeah, Britney had a very long day … as well as a long week ahead of her b-day party last night so I’m glad to see that she was able to let her hair down and relax a bit. She looked pretty hawt in that black dress of hers … her boobage was almost pouring out of the damn thing. Last night’s birthday celebration was a far cry from the messy birthday she celebrated last year. While my boy Lance Bass may have been ROBBED of the title of Dancing with the Stars champ this year, it looks like he is finding other ways to reward himself for all the tireless work that he’s been taking on lately. I understand the guy’s name is Joe and it’s not entirely clear if there is anything romantical going on between these two but they sure did seem to make a big deal out of not being seen together. Lance never has a problem finding companionship and since we know that he and Sebastian Leal haven’t been together for a couple of months now … mebbe it’s time for Lance to couple up again. This guy looks like a cutie (from what I can make out) … mebbe we’ll see more of him?

The final 3 sets of contestants danced their hearts out on Dancing with the Stars last night and all that is left now is for America to learn the results. I have been quietly rooting for Lance Bass to win the whole enchilada from the start … and, apparently, I am not alone in thinking that he can win. BUT, Brooke Burke is beloved by the judges and has a very good chance of securing the win for herself. In a few hours, all of our questions will be answered … but in the meantime, let’s take a look a couple pics of Lance backstage on the set of DTWS lookin’ too orange NOT to win ;)

This is the face of a winner, y’all. Now, I have no idea who is going to win but I really do hope it’s Lance. After all, I can’t bear the thought of Lance losing and then crying off all of this bronzer/make-up on live TV. What do y’all think? Last night the American Music Awards were handed out on live TV at the Nokia Theater here in Los Angeles, CA. Stars of varying importance made their way into downtown LA last night to walk the red carpet, participate in the show or mug for the cameras in the press room afterward. Chris Brown was one of the night’s big winners … Kanye West was one of the night’s biggest wieners … and Beyoncé, bless her heart, gave the best live performance of the night. Chris Brown was the big winner at the American Music Awards on Sunday night, surprising himself most of all. “I don’t know what to say. I would have given it to Coldplay,” said Brown, who won artist of the year, male pop/rock artist and male soul/R&B artist. Kanye West, still sore at losing male rap/hip-hop artist last year, won the trophy this time – then said Lil Wayne deserved it more. “I want to give this award to Wayne,” he said. “If it was last year it would have been my award.” It was West’s second trophy of the night, following his win for rap/hip-hop album, for Graduation. “It’s our responsibility as musicians to push music to the point it was in the ’60s and ’70s,” he said. “I want to be Elvis.” Host Jimmy Kimmel, who had made West’s ego a running joke, quipped: “Elvis died on the toilet with half a jelly doughnut in his mouth. You may want to rethink that.”

Um, why does Kanye have to be so douchey? I mean, seriously. It’s like he just cannot stop himself from acting like a total a-hole on the public stage. I just don’t get it.

The show climaxed with Keys performing “Superwoman” with Queen Latifah and opera star Kathleen Battle, and ending with a large photo projected on a screen of incoming first lady Michelle Obama. In a big night for American Idol alums, Daughtry – winner of three trophies last year – picked up another this year for pop/rock group, while former Idol champ Jordin Sparks won for adult contemporary music, and Carrie Underwood won for country album for Carnival Ride. Taylor Swift, uncomfortably sharing L.A.’s Nokia Theatre auditorium with ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas, won for female country artist, and Rihanna got two awards for pop/rock female artist and female soul R&B artist … Music’s A-listers were out in force as the show featured blockbuster performances by Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Rihanna, West, birthday girl Miley Cyrus and Jonas Brothers, who also won the breakthrough artist award. And Justin Timberlake made a surprise appearance to introduce award of merit recipient Annie Lennox.

Much congrats to all the winners this year but, I gotta say, the “prestige” associated with winning an American Music Award seems to have diminished a bit — after all, the soundtrack to the movie Alvin and the Chipmunks took home an award last night.

For me, tho, the highlight was Beyoncé‘s live performance of her hit single Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It). Homegirl turned that mutha OUT! After the jump, watch video of her performance in full …

Lance Bass stepped out on the town last night showing off his idea of a cool Halloween costume. Homeboy wore a red graduation cap and gown …

… which, I gotta say, is prolly the most uninspired and lazy Halloween costume I think I’ve ever seen a celebrity wear. It’s not even timely nor does it really relate to anything. Boo. It’s a disappointing showing from my boy Lance … here’s hoping he comes up with something more inspired, more impressive for Halloween tonight.

Britney Spears may be trying to teach model Brandon Stoughton a thing or two about how to treat women in her new music video for Womanizer but it turns out that she wasn’t the first popstar to have an association with the lad. It turns out that Lance Bass has already forged a friendship with Brandon well before he became the Womanizer guy:

Yes ladies, I’m sorry to inform y’all that Brandon Stoughton is far from being a womanizer. I’ve heard from a few people (including friends of mine) that Brandon isn’t really interested in womanizing any ladies at all … if you get my drift ;) Hee hee … and you know that Lance Bass ain’t gonna let a prime piece of hunk like this escape his watchful eye. It appears that Lance and Brandon are pretty good friends from the looks of this friendly photo. Le sigh. Some guys have all the luck.
