Happy Anniversary!
Lego Building Blocks Minifigures Turn 30 Years Old

Lego Building Blocks is celebrating the 30th anniversary of their minifigures this year and in celebration, Lego has come up with a few cute little celebrity incarnations of their famous little Lego people. Normally yellow, these celebrity Lego people are flesh-toned and, in my estimation, are pretty damn good representations of the celebrities they portray … here are the Lego versions of Vicki B. & David Beckham, Madonna, Amy Winehouse, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and the twins Vivienne Marcheline & Knox Léon Jolie-Pitt:

Lego, the Danish plastic toy firm is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the introduction of the minifigure. It has launched a website with videos and photos and is encouraging enthusiasts to enter a movie making contest to show their own interpretation of the minifigures’ adventures. The minifigure started off in 1978 as a largely featureless yellow figure but has since evolved to include realistic characteristics including skin colour and facial hair. The plastics toy firm has also produced ‘famous’ minifigure versions of characters from the big screen such as Spiderman, Darth Vader and Indiana Jones. Last month Lego announced that its half year profits have more than doubled, partly due to the success of its classic and movie/celebrity contracts.

I’m a BIG Legos fan from way back in the day. Nothing would give me more pleasure than building a model out of Legos and then smashing that model onto the tiled floor of our basement so that it would break into hundreds of pieces. Unfortch, I would smash the models so hard that some of the Lego blocks would break and my mom stopped buying them for me … but it was fun while it lasted. I think it’s awesome that Legos is having this much fun with the 30th anniversary of their minifigures. I know there are some Lego fans out there who prolly appreciate this as well, yes? So cute! My fave is the Becks one ;)

Say 'Hello', 'People'
Meet Vivienne Marcheline & Knox Léon Jolie-Pitt

Here they are, the most talked about set of twin babies on planet Earth right now, Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Léon Jolie-Pitt making their worldwide debut (reportedly to the tune of $14 million bucks) on the cover of People magazine:

They are just 3 weeks old, but twins Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline are about to take the world by storm. In an exclusive interview and photos, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie offer PEOPLE an intimate look at their growing family. “It is chaos, but we are managing it and having a wonderful time,” Jolie tells PEOPLE of daily life at the Château Miraval in Provence, France, where the couple’s four older children – Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 2 – have been enjoying a summer of outdoor play (hide-and-seek is a favorite) on the château’s sprawling grounds. Adds Pitt: “[It's] still a cuckoo’s nest.” Fortunately, they already have some household helpers. “[Shiloh] and Z pick out [the twins'] clothes and help change and hold them,” says Jolie. “It’s sweet – they are little mommies.”

The magazine will devote 19 pages of Brangelina family photos in this double-issue of the magazine which should be now available for purchase on newstands. I find it interesting that Shiloh Nouvel, the firstborn child of Brangelina, is also featured on the cover of the mag without any mention of any of the other adopted children. HMMM. In any event, the first photo is finally out and folks can now snap up issues of People magazine to get their fix of the Brangelina twins to their heart’s content. After the jump, check out the cover of Hello! magazine which features a different photo of the twins as they make their international debut …

People.com announces the day/time of first photo release
Hark! The Brangelina Twins Are Coming!

Set your clocks and calendars, y’all … People.com has announced that they will release the first official photo of Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon, better known as the Brangelina twins, online this Sunday evening at 7pm ET:

I guess the rumors that People magazine shelled out the big bucks for the first photos of the twins are true … and I understand that the kids were photographed last week and the publication rights will be split between People in the US and Hello magazine in Europe. Where will you be come 7pm ET this Sunday night?

At long last, the Brangelina twins popped on July 12!!!
Vivienne Marcheline & Knox Léon Jolie-Pitt Are Born

Woot! It’s official! Angelina Jolie did, in fact, give birth to her twin babies on Saturday July 12 in Nice, France just like In Touch Weekly reported. Despite the fact that they incorrectly reported that Angelina gave birth to twin girls, they were the first media outlet to report that she had given birth on July 12. US Weekly quickly “confirmed” that In Touch was correct in reporting the birth but then not only recanted on their “confirmation” as soon as Extra TV reported the new was false but they removed their original report from their website (they’ve since put the news back on their site now that the news has been officially confirmed). The scoop and kudos belongs to In Touch alone. Early this morning in Nice, France, Angelina Jolie‘s doctor gave a press conference with the official news of the twins’ birth:

The Brangelina twins are here: Angelina Jolie has given birth to a girl and a boy. The obstetrician who delivered the twins, Dr. Michel Sussmann, told The Associated Press that the actress, the babies and Jolie’s partner, actor Brad Pitt, “are doing marvelously well.” Sussmann said Jolie gave birth to a boy, Knox Leon, and a girl, Vivienne Marcheline, by Cesarian section on Saturday night. He told the AP on Sunday morning that the boy weighed 5.03 pounds and the girl 5 pounds. Pitt was there during the operation, said the doctor, who delivered the twins at the seaside Lenval hospital in Nice in southern France. “Everything is going well,” said Sussmann. “The mother, the babies, the father are doing marvelously well.” He said the Cesarian was moved forward from its originally planned date “for medical reasons” so that the babies could be born “in the best conditions.” Sussman did not give details. He said Jolie is expected to stay in the hospital for a few more days.

Amazing, amazing news! Brangelina‘s twins, Vivienne and Knox, were born on MY BIRTHDAY :) That’s pretty cool, I think. I was in the midst of enjoying my birthday celebration a few hours ago when I got word that the twins’ birth was officially announced. I thought it would be kinda cool to share my birthday with the famed golden children … and I was right :) Welcome to the world, twins … we’ve been expecting you!!!

It occurred to me — Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are now the parents of 6 children: 3 girls, 3 boys, 3 adopted children and 3 biological children. Could the Brangelina Bunch be any more perfect?
