Earlier this month we learned that 24: The Movie is going into filming production THIS SPRING and this week, star Kiefer Sutherland paid a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live to talk about the film and his new Fox TV series Touch (which debuts TONIGHT). When asked about how the 24 movie will be different from the television series, Kiefer immediately made it clear that Jack Bauer will be swearing in the film … which is awesome! The 24 series finale left fans hanging – now people can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that filming for the movie will likely commence in April or May.The show and movie’s main attraction, Kiefer Sutherland, updated us on the TV to big screen rumor.

Last month we learned the fantastic news that the much-anticipated 24 movie is scheduled for a 2012 release. Today we get to see an interview with Kiefer Sutherland talking to Extra! TV about the film and what he hopes to see happen in the story. Kiefer wants his character, Jack Bauer, to take his life back … which would make, IMHO, a very interesting 24 film. Both men joined Twitter yesterday but, as you can guess, Charlie was the one who got all of the attention. But I’ve got mad love for the Kief. Read on to see his first tweets to the world.

Holy shizz, great news, y’all!! After only about a year after his amazing TV series 24 ended, Kiefer Sutherland is ready to return to TV once again. TV Guide reports that Kiefer has signed on to star in a pilot for a series called Touch for Fox. If it gets picked up, and it’s pretty certain to get picked up, then the Kief will be back on our boob tubes in the Fall! Woot!!

Bad news 24 fans … it looks like we’re gonna hafta wait a bit longer for the big screen adaptation of 24 to hit movie theaters because Fox has rejected the script for the film and it’s back to the drawing board. Good news for Kiefer Sutherland fans, tho. According to Entertainment Weekly magazine, Kiefer will be starring in his very own web series called The Confession that is set to debut in March on Hulu.

It’s been almost a month since the series finale of 24 aired on FOX but it looks like Jack Bauer is already happily enjoying his retirement. An unshaven and chilled out Kiefer Sutherland was spotted on the streets of NYC this week looking very rested and relaxed:

We do know that Jack will be called back to action when the 24 movie begins filming (whenever that may be) but for now, it looks like he just chillin’ like a villain on penicillin.

Altho Sandra Bullock‘s surprise appearance at the 2010 Spike Guys’ Choice Awards last night was a pretty big deal, there were other celebs in the hiz to strut their stuff on the red carpet and/or collect award trophies of their own. As you might expect, Sandra did not walk down the red carpet so that her appearance on stage to collect the Troops Choice Award for Entertainer of the Year could be kept a closely guarded secret (and I don’t expect she’ll appear on the red carpet of the MTV Movie Awards tonight either, mainly so she can avoid answering any uncomfortable questions that might be asked of her) but as you can see, there were other celebs spotted on the red carpet. 24 castmembers, both current and old skool, made their way to Boulevard 3 here in LA last night to attend a series wrap party held in honor of the Fox TV series. As you may recall, the final episode of the series was filmed in NYC at the start of this month but they saved the party for last night. Kiefer Sutherland and Mary Lynn Rajskub were joined by 24 alums like Dennis Haybert, Kim Raver and Sarah Clarke at last night’s fete. Here are a few photos from the red carpet arrivals last night:

I LOVE that so many 24 alums came back for one last hurrah last night. 24 has given us years of entertainment and I love that so many of the people responsible for all that entertainment got together one last time to celebrate. It’s kinda crazy to think that the show is over … but I am very much looking forward to 24 finding new life on the big screen. Don’t these people all look amazing? It’s really very cool to see them all together again.
