Actors Jude Law, Kevin Spacey and others took to the streets of London this week to stage a public protest against Alexander Lukashenko, the president of Belarus. According to the protestors, Lukashenko is nothing more than a dictator who has captured a host of political prisoners and their protest this week is meant to call for an end of his regime. And so it begins … the first serious awards show of the new Awards Season took place last night as The BFCA Critics’ Choice Movie Awards were handed out at the Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, CA. Considered a good determiner of how the Academy Awards may turn out, the Critics’ Choice Awards tend to award the big prizes to the actors and films that will go on to win Oscars later on. The Social Network was the big winner of the night including Best Film, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Score and more!

Yesterday we saw a few photos of a very shirtless Matthew McConaughey gettin’ his sweat on on the beaches of Brazil where he and his babymama Camila Alves popped up this week on holiday. It turns out that the couple, along with a few other celebs, have trekked down to Rio de Janeiro to partake of the Carnival Street Fair going on there this week. While I would much prefer some nekkidness in these new photos, I guess I don’t mind that the couple appears to be enjoying themselves immensely. They really do make a nice couple and since Camila is from the region, they now have reason to fly down to South America whenever they get in the mood.
