The long arm of the law has finally reached out and grabbed ahold of Kelly Osbourne. Kelly stands accused to slapping a journalist in a London nightclub last Summer (after said journalist reportedly made some embarrassing remarks about Kelly’s then model boyfriend now fiancée Luke Worrall) … apparently, charges have finally been made against her and Kelly O got picked up by the cops over the weekend. She has already been released on bail and is scheduled to be in court to face assault charges in March:

Kelly Osbourne has been arrested for allegedly slapping a journalist in a London nightclub last summer. The 24-year-old daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne was released on bail as inquiries continue. She is scheduled to return to see authorities in March. The allegations stem from a claim that Osbourne hit gossip columnist Zoe Griffin after Griffin wrote an article mocking Osbourne’s model boyfriend Luke Worrall. In a piece last August in the U.K. newspaper The Mirror, Griffin wrote that she was approached in Punk nightclub by Osbourne, who took issue with a story Griffin had written saying Worrall had to ask how an earthquake was caused. Griffin quoted her saying, “I have an issue with you. My boyfriend knows what an earthquake is and everyone has been laughing at him and he’s upset.” As the conversation drew to a close, Griffin wrote, “That’s when I felt a hard slap to my right cheekbone.” As is customary, Scotland Yard would not name any of the alleged protagonists. But a statement read by a spokeswoman said, “I can confirm that a 24-year-old woman attended a central London police station by appointment at 3pm on January 2.” “She was arrested for common assault relating to an alleged incident in Soho in the early hours of 29th August 2008,” the statement continues. “She was bailed to attend a central London police station on a date in March.” A rep for Osbourne had no comment.

I, for one, am shocked! I cannot understand how the daughter of a woman like Sharon Osbourne, who is famous for being a lady in all instances and would never condone the use of violence to settle a score, could stand accused of such a heinous infraction. Surely she didn’t learn this kind of behavior, if indeed she did slap the journalist in question, from her mother. Just a thought, if this assault did, indeed, take place as Griffin claims … wouldn’t it have made more sense for Kelly to have slapped Luke for being so ill-informed of the seismic sciences? I can’t *wait* for this case to go to trial!

According to the ever-reliable social networking site Facebook, it appears that congratulations are in order for Kelly Osbourne and her model fiancée Luke Worrall. According to Worrall’s Facebook profile page, the young couple have decided to tie the knot, y’all:

Kelly Osbourne is getting hitched. She is engaged to model Luke Worrall, he has revealed on his Facebook page. According to Britain’s The Daily Mail, he changed his online relationship status to “engaged to Kelly Osbourne.” Osbourne, 23, has been dating Worrall, 18, for about six months.

Now, before any of y’all run out to pick out wedding gifts for the happy couple, I’d caution y’all to wait and see if the couple actually makes it down the aisle. This Facebook announcement could just be a joke and even if it is true, Kelly O. has not been very lucky in love before. While tentative congrats may be in order, let’s keep the champagne on ice until we get more substantive confirmation. Kelly Osbourne was spotted out and about in Londontown sporting a pretty henious shiner over her left eye. Her official story is that something fell off the wall as she reached into the cupboard for a glass and smashed her in the face … leaving her looking like this:

Kelly Osbourne cut a miserable figure as she left her London home yesterday sporting a heavily bruised face. The 23-year-old singer-turned-radio DJ had a black eye and a bandaged temple as she left her flat to visit her doctor. While Kelly may have looked like she had been in a fight, her spokesman said the reality TV star had fallen prey to some bad DIY when the contents of a cupboard fell on top of her. Kelly had a low-key bank holiday weekend at home after suffering from a tummy bug. Her illness was made even worse when she reached to get a glass from a cupboard in her kitchen and the whole piece of furniture fell off the wall on on top of her, cutting her temple and hitting her in the left eye. Her spokesman Gary Farrow said: “She was suffering from a stomach upset all weekend, which meant she couldn’t go out anywhere, and then this happened. She is fine now, though.”

HMMMMM … this sounds very convoluted to me … is anyone else buying this tall tale?

Batman: The Dark Knight had its UK premiere at Odeon Leicester Square in London, England last night where the principal stars (including Christian Bale, who has been since arrested for alleged assault against his mother and sister) came out for the event. Here are a few pics from the red carpet arrivals last night:

It’s hard to not think about the allegations against Christian Bale right now, especially when looking at photos of the man. In any event, everyone looked great on the red carpet … Maggie Gyllenhaal especially looked great in her sexy black dress. Here are a few pics of some of the other celebs who came out for the premiere:

As always, it’s nice to see the McFly boys out and about and how about that Kelly Osbourne. The girl see-saws between lookin’ really tragic to lookin’ really good — she looks pretty amazing these days, I think. I’m not sure what Ne-Yo was doing at the premiere (it’s a pretty random sighting) but I’m sure a good time was had by all. I am very much looking forward to hearing what folks in the UK and Europe think about The Dark Knight. After setting 8 box office records here in the US last weekend, I’m curious to see how the rest of the world will receive the film.
