Watch: Kellan Lutz Behind The Scenes Of His ‘Men’s Health’ Photoshoot

Last week we got our first look at Kellan Lutz on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Men’s Health magazine but today we get to check out a fun behind-the-scenes video of Kellan on the set of his Men’s Health photoshoot … here are a few screencaps:

Kellan does a bit of talking in this video … but that’s not really the draw here ;) As you may recall, we got to see (and not hear) photos of Kellan showing off his Calvin Klein Underwear in Toronto, Canada yesterday but in this video he’s showing off a bit more. Check it out, after the jump …

Kellan Lutz Shows Off His Undies In Toronto

Last month we saw photos of Twilight hottie Kellan Lutz showing off his Calvin Klein undies at an in-store appearance at Macy’s Herald Square in NYC, NY and today we get to see the lad doing the same at The Bay department store in Toronto, CA this weekend. While I really wish these in-store events to promote CK Underwear were a bit sexier, the photos are at least kinda cute:

You will note that Kellan has, once again, dyed his hair black … it was just a few days ago we saw him rockin’ lighter, brown hair on the set of his upcoming new film Immortals. I understand the 2010 Much Music Awards are happening tonight in Toronto, Canada … I’ll bet we’ll be seeing homeboy here showing off his CK Undies on the red carpet of that event, too! Meh, it’s a living … I’m totally fine with him showing off anything at all he likes :)

Nice skirt, dude
Kellan Lutz Rocks The Loincloth On Set

Back in March we learned that Twilight hunk Kellan Lutz scored the role of Greek god Poseidon in the new Tarsem Singh film Immortals (previously titled War of the Gods) and today we get our first look at Kellan on the set of Immortals in Montreal, Quebec. As you can see from the following photos, Kellan was being fitted for the fancy loincloth that he will be forced to wear in this new film:

MMMMM. As much as I am NOT a fan of this loincloth look, I have to admit … Kellan wearing as little clothing as possible works for me. I’m not sure why a god of the Sea would need to wear any clothing at all … wouldn’t it make more sense for him to just be wet and completely nekkid at all times? I mean … c’mon. Sigh … I guess I’ll just have to enjoy these photos … loincloth or (preferably) no loincloth.

Twilight heartthrob Kellan Lutz is featured on the cover and in the pages of the August issue of Men’s Health magazine (on sale June 29) and today we get our first look at Kellan‘s HAWT Men’s Health coverphoto:

OY! Now this is a hot magazine cover. I know Men’s Health is all about getting guys to be more healthy and stuff like that but an issue like this is a MUST OWN for more reasons than just the health tips … yeah. After the jump see a few more photos of Kellan from within the pages of this issue of Men’s Health and find out why YOU must buy this magazine when it hits newsstands …

Kellan Lutz Shows Off His Undies At Macy’s

Twilight actor and Calvin Klein Underwear model Kellan Lutz made a special in-person appearance at Macy’s department store in Herald Square here in NYC, NY yesterday to promote CK Underwear by showing off the CK Underwear that he wore to the event:

Very unfortunately, Kellan did not strip down to his skivvies to show off his undies but he was so kind as to give himself a wedgie to show ‘em off. I understand that Kellan was sweet enough to sign boxes of underwear for and pose with the folks who came out to see him at Macy’s yesterday. I guess since he is waiting to hear whether or not he’ll be featured in the upcoming Twilight film Breaking Dawn, he might as well keep himself bizzy with his other money-making endeavors.

Hold on to your hats, Twihards, contract negotiations are gettin' serious
Will ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ Be Alice & Emmett Cullen-less?

Now that we know WHO will be directing the next installment of The Twilight Saga movie franchise (Academy Award-winning director Bill Condon) and WHEN it will be released (November 18, 2011) we now move into the contract negotiations phase of production of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. As you might imagine, the film’s principal stars — Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner — are all poised to get big pay increases for the next installment of the movie franchise (which may or may not be broken up into two films). But, according to new reports, other castmembers have yet to sign their contracts to appear in the film(s). Apparently, Ashley Greene (who plays Alice Cullen) and Kellan Lutz (who plays Emmett Cullen) are hoping for pay increases, too. Unfortch, it is being reported, the movie studio isn’t willing to up their pay as much as they like … which means trouble for Alice and/or Emmett Cullen. Could the next Twilight film actually be Alice and/or Emmett-less?

Although Summit Entertainment has officially announced that “The Twilight Saga’s Breaking Dawn” will be released in the U.S. on November 18, 2011, the studio has not confirmed whether or not it will be split into two parts. Latest report on the development mentions that the studio indeed wants two “Breaking Dawn” movies and is close to finalize deals with main cast to return to the fifth “Twilight” film. While Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are rumored getting big raises for the last installment, Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene reportedly have not found agreements with the studio regarding their salaries. A source close to the dealmaking tells The Hollywood Reporter (THR) that the depicters of Emmet Cullen and Alice Cullen want bigger paydays that Summit is unwilling to provide. THR learns that Summit has actually offered money 10 times bigger than the actors made in the first movie. However, it is still deemed “offensive” since they studio has generated a lot of cume from the franchise. The source then suggests that either Lutz or Greene might be cut from the cast ensemble, saying “We may have a situation where one of them is thrown out on the street to make a point.” Another source affirms the speculation, adding “This thing is gonna be two movies. With or without the cast intact.” THR also reports that “Breaking Dawn” might be shot in Louisiana to make an adjustment to the already bigger budget. However, Summit declines to release any comment on the situation. Bill Condon is on board to direct “Breaking Dawn” and reportedly signed to make the two parts.

If we’ve learned anything from the firing of Rachelle Lefevre from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse it’s that the movie studio ain’t playing around when it comes to the second and third tier actors. If you aren’t one of the Big 3 (Stewart, Pattinson, Lautner) then you are expendable and replaceable. In the end, I’m pretty certain that both Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz will play nice with the studio in order to keep their roles in the film. Will they get the raise they are pushing for? Maybe … but maybe not. But if they’re smart, they won’t press too hard to get more money … otherwise they’ll be hangin’ with Rachelle Lefevre while everyone else is off making the next Twilight film without them. What do y’all think … would YOU be fine if either Alice or Emmett Cullen were axed from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn?

Ojai, we have a problem
Coachella Day 2: For Your A-‘Muse’-Ment

Day 2 of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is already dunzo and, from what I understand, was plagued with a fair share of technical problems that ran the gamut from causing irritating sound issues from time to time to all out dead tech ruining entire performances … and, to be honest, these sorts of things are to be expected. I haven’t heard of any major issues affecting any of the big acts … in fact, I understand big players like Faith No More, Dead Weather, MGMT and Day 2 headliners Muse were in top form. Here are some photos from the Coachella stage at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA yesterday:

Right about now, funk-soul brothers and sisters, yours truly would spend the remaining wee hours to crank out a desert dispatch all about how bewitching the Dead Weather were just before midnight … or how infectious Hot Chip got … or how impressive it was that The xx’s skeletal yet seductive sound captivated far and wide instead of getting drowned out by chatter … or why MGMT’s popularity-shunning set (which didn’t include “Kids,” much to the disappointment of thousands of fans) was still a solid one (don’t tell Desert Jeff that; he thought it was an aloof bore) … or what marvelous joy there is in dancing to something as heavy, hyper-skilled and operatically melodious as Muse. It’s been a high quality night, for sure, thanks also to rich turns from Dirty Projectors, Devo, Corinne Bailey Rae, Aterciopelados, Major Lazer, Z-Trip and more. All of which you’ll hear about by the time Sunday’s festivities get underway. But it’s been a rougher-than-expected day, littered with innumerable bad-reception runs, more than a few failed batteries, and at least one post (D-Hall on Band of Skulls) that simply went missing. With Coachella running longer and later than ever before, and with our dozen or so team members operating on less sleep than you can catch during a screening of Woodstock, we’re just too collectively spent to carry on much time. Must … have … sleep.

Jay-Z may have got the party started Friday night but I hear that Muse really brought the heat (in their own way) last night. A lot more celebs popped up in the crowd yesterday — after the jump, see which celebs were in attendance at Coachella Day 2 …

"I’ll always see myself as young at heart. I mean, I’m 25"
Kellan Lutz Does ‘Interview’ Magazine

Kellan Lutz, star of Twilight and the upcoming remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street, is featured in the pages of the new issue of Interview magazine. Kellan was interviewed by Mark Jacobs (who is a writer and not THE Marc Jacobs) for the mag and features in a sexy shower room photospread. Here is one of Kellan‘s Interview magazine photospread photos along with some excerpts from his interview with Jacobs:

Actor, action-movie star, farmhand, Calvin Klein underwear model, and nascent motivational speaker, Kellan Lutz is the man of the moment. The determined 25-year-old Lutz has made a name for himself with roles as a cocky, good-looking jock with rich parents on CW’s 90210, a soldier stationed in Iraq in HBO’s Generation Kill (2008), and a vampire in the Twilight series—a trifecta of mainstream masculinity. He is a superhero-in-waiting, unbothered by an unbuttoned shirt, and thirsty for a franchise phenomenon of his own. Born in North Dakota and raised in Arizona with frequent visits to the family farm in Iowa, Lutz has a backstory that is authentically rugged and thoroughly American—a Bruce Weber–esque narrative that became an actual Bruce Weber narrative in 2004 when Lutz appeared, photographed by Weber, on the cover of the A&F Quarterly magazine. But it’s Hollywood time now, and Lutz is hard at work. There’s this month’s A Nightmare on Elm Street remake; a turn as a hotheaded lacrosse player opposite fellow Twilight-er Ashley Greene in Warrior; the independent murder mystery Meskada with Nick Stahl and Grace Gummer; and then, most importantly, more Twilight (the third installment, Eclipse, is out in June). Lutz believes in paying it forward and the laws of attraction. Even stray pups follow him home.

MARK JACOBS: Hi, Kellan? Where are you right now?
KELLAN LUTZ: I am in my backyard in L.A. hanging out with my two dogs.

JACOBS: You spent time on a dairy farm in Iowa while you were growing up?
LUTZ: Iowa is where the big farm was, where my grandparents lived. After my parents divorced, we would visit them. My mom would send me out to the pigpen, where we had these huge, huge pigs. I would stand there for six hours holding a hose, watering pigs. They’d dive in the mud and shake it off, and I’d go home covered in it. I loved the whole thing of getting wet and dirty and then getting in a warm bath.

JACOBS: You also have experience spraying crops and building silos. Are you aware of how this story reads in New York and L.A.? Anything involving uncontrived hard labor is irresistible to the style industry.
LUTZ: I’d rather do manual labor than sit behind a desk. And as my grandparents got older, I’d fly out there and help out around the farm. We’d tear barns down; we’d build barns. I’d rather be outside rolling hay or driving the tractors.

JACOBS: Then how did you choose Hollywood?
LUTZ: I have a lot of older brothers who messed up in different ways in my mother’s eyes. So I learned from all of their mistakes. I can’t go into detail, but while I was growing up, I always tried to make it a goal to relieve some of the stress my mother went through. I applied myself to school very diligently. I wanted to go out of state so I wouldn’t have to depend on my mother. And L.A., where my father lived, seemed to call to me.

JACOBS: Why acting?
LUTZ: In L.A., I was meeting people who were all actors. My mind started to open up to what acting was. I didn’t realize that Brad Pitt was a real person. I didn’t think he was a robot or a machine, but I thought you were just born into acting—that it’s a family tree, kind of like NASCAR. No one can just say, “Hey, I’m going to be a NASCAR driver.” They need to have some way in. Once I was in L.A., I realized anyone could do this. Why not give it a shot? I started going to a ton of acting classes, and I found I had a real passion for it, probably the biggest passion I’ve ever had in my whole life. So I decided to put school aside, put all my scholarships aside, put everything that I worked hard on for my mother and myself aside, and pursue this roller-coaster ride.

Mellow yellow
Kellan Lutz Is A Party Boy

Kellan Lutz, who usually does a great job of lookin’ all hawt and shizz, stepped out to pick up some supplies at a party goods store in Sherman Oaks, CA over the weekend while wearing an absolutely DREADFUL out fit. His skin-tight green shirt (which looks way too much like crushed velvet) clashed horribly with his hyper-yellow hair color … check it out:

Yeah … I think the world you’re looking for is, YIKES! I have to say … I’m all for adventures in hair coloring but this shade of yellow is never a good look on anyone. Considering how hot Kellan Lutz is, I’d be willing to overlook the bad hair color OR, I’d be willing to overlook the terrible outfit … but coupled together? No. He’d be better off just wearing nothing at all … which is actually what I think we’d all prefer ;)
