People magazine has announced their pick as the Sexiest Man Alive and this year they have bestowed that honor on actor Ryan Reynolds. As you may recall, GQ magazine just named Ryan‘s wife Scarlett Johansson as the Babe of the Year so it seems only fitting that he would get the title of Sexiest Man Alive. Here is our first look at Ryan‘s new People magazine cover and some deets about his new title:

Sure, his chiseled abs have caused millions to swoon, but this year’s Sexiest Man Alive Ryan Reynolds loves to keep them laughing. “My body naturally wants to look like Dick Van Dyke,” says the 6’2″ actor, who suits up as the Green Lantern next year. “When I stop training, I turn into a skin-colored whisper.” We doubt that. From growing up the youngest of four brothers in Canada to being the funny guy in films like The Proposal, Reynolds has learned to take everything in stride. “You just have to go with the flow,” he says of his new title. “This gives my family entre into teasing me for the rest of my life. ” The actor does expect a few new perks at home with his wife of two years, Scarlett Johansson. “Now it’s going to be, ‘Sexiest man, take out the garbage.’ That does sound better,” Reynolds says. “The most difficult part is going to be organically working this title into a conversation with random strangers.”

Oh yeah, there is no question that Ryan is DEFFO among the Sexiest Men Alive and trust me, I am happy that he won the title but … where’s the surprise here? Despite the fact that we heard last week that on-again off-again couple AnnaLynne McCord and Kellan Lutz had broken up, the pair were spotted making their way out of a cheap motel in Studio City, CA early yesterday lookin’ very much like their secret rendezvous got busted by the paparazzi. As you can see, Kellan and AnnaLynne went to great lengths to try and keep this tryst a secret … AnnaLynne even went so far as to wear a cheap wig and sunglasses as a disguise:

LMAO!! So busted. To be honest, I don’t get what the big secret is about … the couple have been dating for a while, they break-up they make-up and then they break-up again … and now they’re sneaking around in cheap motels? It’s just so … funny. Look, if this is what it takes to keep their romantic affiliation spicy, then more power to them. I just hope AnnaLynne will invest in better looking wigs if she’s gonna keep creepin’ around like this.

Hollywood hotties Channing Tatum and Kellan Lutz both stepped out to do a bit of working out (separately) here in SoCal yesterday and I just couldn’t decide which one to feature … so I thought, why not post photos of them both? Here are a couple photos of Channing and Kellan showing off their beefy wares yesterday … which one do YOU think is the hotter hunk of man?

While Kellan is the more solid of the two, there is a certain something about Channing‘s manly bulk that has its own appeal. To be honest, I would much prefer for these two gentlemen to get stripped down and oiled up so that they could wrestle for hottie supremacy but, well, we gotta work with what we got. In this battle of the bulk, which guy do you prefer … Chan or the Lutz?

Kellan Lutz, the beefy Twilight actor who enjoys keeping up his physical fitness, was spotted on the streets of SoCal this week taking his dog for a vigorous jog … behold:

Um … yeah, that’s all I got. These photos of Kellan running around town in his tight work out clothes seem to be doing all the talking, don’t you think? I wonder if that’s his iPod in his pocket … or something.

On Wednesday we got to see a few photos of Twilight stud Kellan Lutz showing off his buff bod in a shirtless game of one-on-one in front of his home here in SoCal and today we get to see new photos that show how Kellan gets his bod so buff. Here are photos of Mr. Lutz as he emerged from a gym in North Hollywood, CA yesterday freshly primed and pumped:

While the site of Kellan‘s beefy bod is a nice sight, I have to admit his bulging veins are not. These photos have me exclaiming Yummo! and Yikes! all at the same time. It’s fortunate that Kellan‘s veins don’t normally look this veiny cuz it’s really not a good look for him … well, for anyone. Hotness comes at a price … and a lot of hard work. I just hope the next time Kellan‘s beefiness is photographed his veins won’t be quite so protrudy. Yeesh.

Kellan Lutz stepped out to play a quick game of hoops with one of his friends outside his SoCal home this week in convenient view of the waiting paparazzi. Now, normally I would scoff at this kind of blatant showing-off but something about the sight of Mr. Lutz jumping around sans shirt makes the whole scenario seem A-OK in my book. The game was shirts vs. skins and very thankfully, Kellan was on team skins:

You’ll have to forget me for not including photos of Kellan‘s playmate but I can assure you he was wearing a shirt which, of course, made every photo he was featured in completely irrelevant. I’m not sure who won this game of one-on-one but I think it’s safe to say that with photos like these, we — the viewers — are the real winners :D

Hunky beef of man Kellan Lutz was spotted with his pet pooch on a dog walk as temperatures soared in SoCal yesterday afternoon. While temps have been very cool for the past few weeks, the weather has gotten considerably hotter in recent days … forcing Southern Californians to venture out in public with as little clothing as possible:

Unfortunately, Kellan did not venture out to walk his dogs while shirtless but wearing a tight-fitting tank top is about as close to shirtless as you can get without actually being shirtless. Yesterday we saw photos of Ryan Phillippe on the set of his new film rockin’ the tank top and now we get to enjoy photos of Kellan wearing the same. Here’s hoping temps soar just a bit more so that these hot hawt dudes can get that wee extra push to just lose the top altogether ;)

Pretty much everyone and their mother (literally) was at LA Live in downtown LA last night for the Hollywood (and LA Film Festival) premiere of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Not only was pretty much ever actor even remotely associated with the Twilight films in the hiz last night but so, too, were hordes of fans who had camped out for DAYS just to get tickets to attend last night’s premiere. Here are photos of Twilight stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner (currently on the cover of this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine) on the red carpet last night and some deets from the event:

Monica Siegel and her two friends dropped a total of $2,500 and flew hundreds of miles to camp out for four days on a patch of sidewalk in downtown Los Angeles with the hope that they might see one of the heartthrob stars of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.” Their gamble paid off — and then some. Siegel, 22, of Fennville, Mich., was giddy with excitement after she not only nabbed a prime spot near the red carpet to swoon over the movie’s stars, but also was one of just a few dozen selected to take in the film inside with the stars of the blockbuster vampire series. “It’s completely worth every bit of it,” Siegel said after learning she had scored the premiere seats. “I’m freaking out!” Siegel said the entire experience was great but the best part was seeing the movie with the people who made it. “Kristen (Stewart) was amazing. She actually talked with us and paid attention to what we were saying instead of rushing by. The whole night is one big, happy memory,” Siegel said. Siegel, 21-year-old Amanda Willis of Dallas, and 25-year-old Melissa Moorhead of Seattle were among thousands of so-called “Twi-hards” who had flocked to the Nokia Theatre at the L.A. Live entertainment complex since early this week, camping out in a specially designated tent city for a fleeting glimpse of stars such as Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. Up to 9,000 people were issued wristbands for a chance to see the film. At least 550 early birds, like Siegel, were ensured a spot along the red carpet, which was black for the occasion. Celebrities working their way down the carpet before the premiere were swarmed with screaming, frantic fans. Stewart, who plays Bella, took the fandemonium in stride. “It’s really only seemingly crazy when the movies come out, and you want that. I usually live a normal life,” Stewart said. Lautner, who plays werewolf Jacob, was asked if he ever wished he was less popular. “I don’t think I’m popular. I think it’s the character,” Lautner said. “I’m grateful to be here, and I’m grateful for the fans.” Pattinson, who plays vampire Edward, said of the frenzy: “I tune it all out ’til later. You get used to it, but it’s still a struggle.” Dakota Fanning, who plays the vampire Jane, said she was amazed by the fan presence — even in comparison with what she has seen in her own childhood acting career. “It’s really exciting. I don’t think I’ll ever be part of something like this for the rest of my life,” she said. “It’s really kind of surreal.” AEG, which owns L.A. Live and distributed the premiere wristbands with Summit Entertainment, screened “New Moon” for fans Tuesday night. On Wednesday, the film’s actors, Peter Facinelli, Billy Burke, Julia James and Jackson Rathbone, distributed hamburgers, CDs and makeup in the tent city. “It’s not very often in this business that you get to come out here and do something like this,” Burke said. “The fans of these movies are so gracious and lovely. It’s great to do anything we can.” Stephanie Tregea, 19, drove 500 miles from Upper Lake, in Northern California, to attend the premiere. She wore a black T-shirt that said “Team Carlisle,” and held a sign that read: “My cat died while I’ve been in line. (Peter, comfort me during this sadness).” It got her an extended embrace from Facinelli, who plays Cullen patriarch Carlisle. Tregea said she is concerned about a Twilight jinx, because her dog died as she waited in line for the “New Moon” premiere last year. She debated not seeing the next installment. “It’s been hectic and stressful because there’s a lot of people,” said Tregea, who alternated camping out with sleeping in a hotel room shared with two friends. Amanda Belcher, 27, a mom from Scranton, Pa., who took a week off work at a public affairs agency to camp out for the premiere, said the experience was worth it. “It’s a great way to bring people together,” Belcher said. “It’s like intense friendship building.”

Dang, that’s devotion. I only camped out over night once (in an alley in downtown Detroit for tix to a tiny Tori Amos club show at my fave Detroit venue St. Andrew’s Hall back in 1998) but I think I can appreciate the devotion felt by these fans. Thousands of people waited countless hours in line yesterday just to buy an iPhone 4 … fans are fans, and we are all fans of something. I’m just glad to hear that these kids (and moms) who camped out for so long managed to be successful in their endeavor to get up close to their fave Twilight stars.
