Ever since her very public, but apparently amicable divorce, from Russell Brand, people have been watching Katy Perry to see how she looks and how she acts as an insight into maybe how she’s doing now that she is single again. Katy seems to have been doing fine, at least publicly, and even though there was silly talk that her Grammy performance was timed to make a stab at her ex husband, she seems to have moved on and found herself. Today we get to see Katy on the cover of Interview magazine and in a photo spread for them, and I have to say she looks more like herself, but very different to the look we have been getting from her for the last few months. In my opinion, she looks gorgeous here. What do you think though?

There have been a lot of Grammy stories today, as to be expected… and here is one more for ya. There are a few reports going around about Katy Perry’s performance last night because her new song (which was leaked a few months ago) seemed to be a direct reference to her divorce from Russell Brand. The song, and performance, did appear to be an empowerment anthem, in what was her first performance on TV since they split. Last night’s Grammy Awards were understandably colored by the tragic death of our wonderful, Whitney Houston. Trent will continue to update us on this ongoing, and devastating, story. News broke yesterday that Russell Brand’s attorney filed final divorce papers to end his marriage to Katy Perry on Tuesday. They were married for 14 months and they didn’t have a prenup agreement apparently. Russell Brand, the suzzy-haired British comedian who is moments away from marrying California Gurl Katy Perry, was arrested at LAX Airport yesterday after a scuffle with the paparazzi turned into a full blown assault. According to reports, Russell not only laid his hands on a photog but he managed to shove the guy into the ground … which is a big no-no. For his actions yesterday, Russell got busted, y’all!

Russell Brand has been arrested following an altercation with a photographer. The 35-year-old British actor-comedian was taken into custody Friday at Los Angeles International Airport for a misdemeanor charge of simple battery, according to police. Brand was booked at LAPD’s Pacific Division and initially held on $20,000 bail. He was released later Friday on his own recognizance, Los Angeles Airport Police spokeswoman Belinda Nettles said. The victim, a paparazzo who was not identified, placed Brand under citizen’s arrest, Nettles said.

Okay, not that I think that assault is funny or anything but … LMAO!! I love that the alleged paparazzo victim was the one who placed Russell Brand under citizen’s arrest … brilliant! You may recall that yesterday we saw photos of American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert going apeshizz on a photog in Miami, FL … there must’ve been something in the water this week.
