Princes William & Harry Attend A ‘Royal’ Wedding

Their presence classes up a commoner friend's nuptials
Friday, August 14th, 2009

Princes William and Harry of Wales were on hand today to attend the wedding of friends Nicholas van Cutsem and Alice Hadden-Paton in London and Wills brought along longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton as his date. Altho Nicholas and Alice aren’t members of the royal family, their nuptials automatically got a royal bump based on their guest list ;)

The pressure on Prince William to pop the question to girlfriend of eight years Kate Middleton is greater than ever. The couple were dressed in their finest for the wedding of close friends Nicholas van Cutsem and Alice Hadden-Paton who became engaged after only one and a half years together. And perhaps Kate is hoping William gets the hint. She has been dubbed ‘Waity Katie’ for her staying power in the long-running royal romance which friends are convinced will eventually end in marriage. Today at the Wellington Barracks in London, patient Kate looked stunning in a cornflower blue brocade coat over an oyster white dress, finished with a delicate fascinator. William and Prince Harry, who was also a guest at the wedding in the Guards Chapel, were just as smart in their three-piece morning suits. The 31-year-old groom is a life guard in the Household Cavalry, while his new wife Alice, 25, works as an events manager. Her brother Harry Hadden-Paton has made a name for himself as a West End actor. The wedding of Nicholas and Alice is thought to have caught William off guard. But despite rumours of an impending engagement to Kate, sources say the Prince is too busy to get married. He is training to become an RAF search and rescue pilot, and has tours of Australia and South Africa planned. It may not be until Kate and William turn 30 that they tie the knot. They are both 27.

LOL. This Nicholas dude and his new bride Alice got themselves hitched after such a short time together, compared to how long Wills has been with Kate. If she’s hoping to land her prince, she’s still got some time to wait. Truth be told, I’m certain that Willy and Katie will end up married … they seem well-suited for one another. Mark my words, they will tie the knot some day … just not today. I must say, the young princes looked very handsome in their finery today. I’m sure Mr. and Mrs. van Cutsem were most appreciative that the young royals deigned to attend their nuptials. Congrats to the happy couple!

Princes William & Harry Play A Game Of Polo

Plus, Wills gets coupley with Kate Middleton
Monday, May 11th, 2009

Their Royal Hawtnesses, Princes William and Harry, participated in a polo match in the UK that raised funds for various charities and they both looked quite fetching in their sporting attire. At the match, Wills and his longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton showed a lot of public affection for one another, which is very surprising considering that the couple have tried to keep their distance and a relative low profile together in the past few months. Here are a few photos from yesterday’s polo match and some deets on what went down:

Prince William and girlfriend Kate Middleton may have managed to keep the lowest of low profiles throughout the winter, but on Sunday they were out for all to see – and to be caught in a rare moment of public affection as they walked from a post-polo match party near Windsor, England. “William spent about 40 minutes at the party after his match, and then picked up Kate and they wandered back to the car,” says an onlooker. “He put his left arm around her back and there was plenty of smiling between them.” During the match, Kate sat with her sister Pippa and one of William’s best friends, Tom van Staubenzee – whose family charity was one of the beneficiaries of the afternoon. Middleton, 27, didn’t show much reaction during the match – which William and Prince Harry’s team, Umbogo, won by four goals to three. “She was just enjoying the sunshine and the game,” says the bystander. Sunday’s event, sponsored by Audi, raised money for three of the princes’ pet causes: Harry’s Sentebale charity for the African nation of Lesotho; the Child Bereavement Charity, of which William, 26, is a patron; and the Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund, of which both princes are patrons.

Hahaha … imagine that! The team with the two princes on it won the match. I love it! Actually, I love anytime that either prince participates in a polo match like this … something about the bright white pants and those leather boots … it’s a good look, I think :) I’m also happy that Kate and Wills are back to PDAing it. I love them together and I hope we get to see more of them together in the future. Long live Wills and Kate!

Prince William & Kate Middleton Keep On Creepin’

Still together
Sunday, March 8th, 2009

While Prince Harry is reportedly trying to find a replacement for his ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy to share his royal bedchamber with, Prince William appears to still be very happy with his main lady Kate Middleton. Here are photos of Wills and Kate as they tried to secretly make their way out of a lunch date at Tom’s Kitchen in London this weekend:

Despite rumors that the royal couple were having problems, it would appear that things are still very much on track between these two. I am utterly convinced that Wills and Kate will one day be married. They’ve weathered so much together, I’d bet money that they’re in it for the long haul. They make a great couple, I’m just glad to see them pop up in one another’s company from time to time.

Prince William Hits The Town With His Beard, His Girlfriend

The two are not necessarily the same thing
Friday, December 19th, 2008

Earlier this week we saw a few photos of Prince William rockin’ a newly grown beard as he hunted pheasants with his younger brother Prince Harry and his girlfriend Kate Middleton … well, last night Wills and Kate stepped out on the town together, partying into the wee hours of the morning, and Willy’s chin pubes were in full effect:

Nights on the town have been a rarity for Kate Middleton and Prince William in recent months, but the couple made up for lost time with a visit to London’s Whisky Mist. The pair were spotted arriving at the bar – a popular royal haunt – at 12.30am where they partied until the early hours of this morning. And while Kate, who enjoyed dinner at Eight Over Eight restaurant in Chelsea with sister Pippa earlier in the evening, was dressed to the nines in an electric blue dress, it was her boyfriend’s facial hair that was attracting all the attention. It seems the prince, who is said to have stopped shaving while on a recent anti-drug smuggling exercise with the Special Boat Service in the Caribbean, has become rather attached to the rugged look. It is believed that he grew the beard in an attempt to disguise his identity during the 10-day mission. It’s something of a family tradition – his father, the Prince of Wales, sported facial hair while serving in Alaska in 1975, as did William’s grandfather Prince Philip during his own wartime service aboard HMS Valiant. However the look will be short lived – next year he joins the RAF, where beards are banned. ‘Waity Katie’, as she has become known because of her apparent willingness to wait around until William proposes, is said to have been unimpressed with his decision to commit to the RAF for the next seven years. But there was no signs of strain as they enjoyed their evening on the town. William and Kate, both 26, recently returned from holiday with friends at Wood Farm on the Queen’s 20,000-acre Norfolk estate where they went on a pheasant shoot with Prince Harry and friends. It was the first time the couple had been photographed together since September, when they attended a friend’s wedding in Austria.

I get the whole Royal “tradition” thing about growing a beard before entering military service but I think the new facial hair is also a sign that Wills, bless his heart, is trying to offset the hair that is thinning on top of his head by letting the hair on the bottom of his head grow as much as it can. I, for one, really like the more rugged look on him. Even tho the lad is a tall drink of water, I think he still has a bit of a baby face … the hair mans him up a bit, I think. I say we enjoy the beard for as long as we can … soon enough, it’ll be snipped off and all but a memory.

Prince William Grows A Beard, Likes To Hunt

Prince Hairy
Monday, December 15th, 2008

Princes William and Harry of Wales ventured out this weekend for a little pheasant hunting excursion and brought along some ladies to join in on the “fun”. While I am not a big fan of hunting, I can understand how the “sport” is one that is enjoyed by many folks, the Royal family included. Wills and Harry brought along Kate Middleton and a new mystery chick (respectively) on their hunting trip … which was also Wills’s first opportunity to show off his new facial hair:

If racing is the sport of kings, then it looks as if shooting is rapidly becoming the sport of the future king’s girlfriend. Kate Middleton deployed her pheasant-blasting skills at the weekend alongside a bearded Prince William at Sandringham. Kate, dressed in a dark jacket, scarf and warm hat, beamed broadly as her Royal boyfriend concentrated on taking aim at their feathered quarry above. The prince is said to have stopped shaving while on a recent anti-drug smuggling exercise with the Special Boat Service in the Caribbean. His father, the Prince of Wales, followed the same naval tradition while serving in Alaska in 1975, as did William’s grandfather Prince Philip during his own wartime service aboard HMS Valiant. Prince Andrew has also experimented with a full set of facial hair. If William is hoping to retain the hirsute look, however, he will be disappointed. Next year he joins the RAF, where beards are banned. The prince and Kate, both 26, were staying with friends at Wood Farm on the Queen’s 20,000-acre Norfolk estate. Also among the group was William’s brother Harry, accompanied by his girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, and her best friend Olivia Perry. Chelsy, 23, opted out of the shooting, not because she objects to blood sports but because it was raining and she didn’t want to get wet.

This was the first time Kate and William had been photographed together since September, when they attended a friend’s wedding in Austria. Kate, who has been dubbed “Waity Katie” because she is apparently happy to hang on until he proposes, is said to have had a ‘minor wobble’ about their relationship when William decided to commit the next seven years to the RAF. But they looked relaxed and happy as they tramped around the Royal estate in the rain, accompanied by Prince Harry, who was with a mystery blonde female friend. Whether Kate approves of her boyfriend’s newly acquired beard is something Royal watchers will have to wait to find out. Yesterday, one onlooker said: “It was a real shock to see William with a beard. It looked as if he had not shaved for a couple of weeks at least. Whether Kate approves is another matter entirely. But she was laughing and joking during the shoot so maybe she does like it.” Kate’s obvious enthusiasm for blood sports, however, infuriated animal rights campaigners. Andrew Tyler, director of the Animal Aid charity, said: “It’s depressing that Kate should be drawn into the Royal habit of killing for fun. There is no tradition of shooting in her family, yet she is now senselessly taking the lives of birds. It seems that you cannot enter the Royal Family’s inner circle without spilling blood for pleasure.” This is not the first time Ms Middleton has been dragged into a row about hunting. Last year, she was bitterly criticised by the League Against Cruel Sports after she joined a deer-shooting party on the Queen’s Scottish estate at Balmoral. Wearing camouflage gear, she was seen being coached by two ghillies on how to use a bolt-action rifle fitted with telescopic sights and silencer – a weapon capable of killing an animal at a mile. William and Harry regularly enjoy a weekend break at Sandringham with friends before Christmas. They always stay at Wood Farm, a secluded retreat on the 20,000-acre estate. William and Harry are expected to return to Sandringham later this month for the Royal Family’s traditional Christmas break. Harry missed the festivities last year because he was serving with the Army in Afghanistan.

Despite the fact that I’m not at all too keen on shooting birds for sport, I hope at least that they ate the animals that they killed. In any event, the real draw for me is the mature look that Prince Wills is rockin’ with this new facial hair. I think it suits him very well. He is growing into a fine chap. Do y’all think he looks good with the beard … or not?

Kate Middleton Channels Her Inner Roller Girl

Sk8r Gurl
Thursday, September 18th, 2008

Kate Middleton, royal paramour to Prince William of Wales, participated in a fun roller disco charity even in London last night … and boy, did she dress the part. Hot pink legwarmers, sparkly green top and quad rollerskates with wheels that light up … tacky but way fun. Here are a few pics of Kate doing her thing at last night’s charity event:

Kate Middleton was on a roll Wednesday night – showing off her skating moves at a charity bash in London. In a green sequined halter top and yellow hot pants, Middleton, 26, co-hosted an day-glo disco at London’s Renaissance Rooms with a group of friends in a bid to raise $200,000 for a children’s hospital ward. Tom’s Ward at the Children’s Hospital in Oxford, England was set up in memory of Middleton and Prince William’s close pal Sam Waley-Cohen’s brother, Thomas, who died in 2004 after a battle with cancer. “We wanted to do something fresh and new; something that would be fun and a bit tongue-in-cheek reflecting the lighter side of life; very much like Thomas was himself,” Sam Waley-Cohen said in a statement. Middleton, who helped organize the bash with Waley-Cohen and Holly Branson – the daughter of Virgin Airlines tycoon Sir Richard – definitely reflected fun, moving around the party, in her skates that lit up, with a tray of donuts. Also taking to the floor was Kate’s younger sister Pippa, who matched her sister with pink leg-warmers, and Fergie’s daughter, Princess Beatrice, 20, who wore a red Mohawk wig. Prince William, though invited, was not in attendance.

Sadly, his Royal Hotness was not in attendance at last night’s rollerskating charity event … which is a real bummer cuz I’d love to see Prince Wills rollin’ on skates … while wearing leg warmers :) Kate seems like a really cool chick … I like her for Wills. Even tho he’s off to take on a military tour of duty for the next few years, I really do hope that he and she end up married together. They make a great couple … I think she’s really good for him. If anyone can get Wills in a pair of legwarmers, I think it’s Kate Middleton :)

Prince Wills & Kate Middleton Are Baked

Their Caribbean vacay is over
Friday, August 15th, 2008

Earlier this week we saw a few cute pics of Prince Wills and his ladylove/possible future wife Kate Middleton enjoying the sun and surf on the high seas down in the Caribbean together but it appears that their little holiday has come to a close. The couple were spotted showing of their new suntans as they hit the party circuit together in London, England last night:

As you can see, Kate has happy to show off her golden brown color. Wills, bless his heart, could only show off his burned pink scalp … yeah, with that much thinning on top, he should really rub some sunblock on his noggin. He is deffo his father’s son … but he is still a cutie :)
