We have heard a lot about Jay-Z this week because he had his special 2 night performance at Carnegie Hall in NYC and we got to see for the first time pics of his wife, Beyonce, since she gave birth to baby Blue Ivy 7 weeks ago. There was also news this week from Kanye — he is returning to Paris Fashion Week despite criticism from the couture world last year. Now today the two hip-hop artists have made news together as they released a video for their track, ‘N***** In Paris’ from their Watch The Throne tour. Watch the video..

Despite a poor reception to his first womens wear Spring 2012 collection back in October last year, where the critics pulled it apart, Kanye West will be returning to Paris Fashion Week next month on March 6th. Read on for more of the details about this rapper turned fashionista.

Kanye West, rapper extraordinaire and serial Twitter-er, unleashed a whole lotta information on his official Twitter profile last night that seemed one part autobiography and one part dream journal. In a series of some 60 tweets over the course of about 2 hours, Kanye exploded all over his Twitter account in a seeming attempt to just open up his stream of consciousness (at the time) with his legion of Twitter followers. Somewhere along the way, West announced the creation of a design company that he named DONDA in honor of his late mother Donda West. Last night David and I made our way to the Staples Center in downtown LA to see Jay-Z and Kanye West live in concert on their Watch the Throne Tour. Altho I’m not necessarily a huge fan of either artist, I couldn’t pass up the chance to see 2 of the best rappers alive perform together on the same stage. Last year I got to see Eminem in concert with Jay-Z in Detroit, MI and I was completely blown away. Last night, I was kinda blown away again. Check out some photos and video from last night’s show.

Last week we saw a photo of Gossip Girl actor Penn Badgley participating in the Occupy Wall Street protest going on in NYC, NY and today we learn that another big name celeb was spotted at the protest this weekend. None other than rapper Kanye West himself was spotted in the midst of the protestors rallying against corporate greed. Click below for the photographic proof.

As you should be well aware by now, MTV hosted it’s annual Video Music Awards celebration last night at the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles, CA and by pretty much all accounts, the show wasn’t the best one ever. Because there was no host, the entire show felt messy and disjointed. Some of the performances were stellar (Adele and Beyoncé, I’m lookin’ at you), others were less than stellar (take your pick of the rest) and the show overall just didn’t mesh for me. I was happy for some of the award winners (Britney Spears and Nicki Minaj, lookin’ at you) and very disappointed and offended by others (in particular I’m referring to the blatant and unabashed homophobe that I cannot bring myself to even mention by name who won Best New Artist), which left me with an overall feeling of …. malaise over the whole thing. At the stroke of midnight last night, Jay-Z and Kanye West unleashed their much-anticipated joint album Watch The Throne on iTunes (a few weeks before it is available anywhere else) and today we get to hear one of the most-anticipated tracks on the album. Jay and Kanye teamed up with Beyoncé on the track Lift Off … which you can listen to in full below.

Our dear Britney Spears brought her Femme Fatale Tour to NYC this week and brought her loverman Jason Trawick on stage to partake in the festivities. But, before Britney and Jason hit the stage, opening act Nicki Minaj surprised the NYC crowd by bringing up a surprise guest of her own — Kanye West — who dueted with her on their song Monster.
