It is plainly obvs that Jesus has fully ingrained himself into Madonna’s very small inner circle. If you are allowed to hang out with her children, you’re in like Flynn. It’s nice that Maddy was able to spend some downtime chillin’ with her family this weekend as her adoption case goes before the Malawian Supreme Court tomorrow. She is not required to be there but I wouldn’t be surprised if she ended up going anyway. I imagine she is very stressed but I’m still hoping for the best for her. Fingers crossed.

She wore black, he wore white … she dressed in work-out attire, he dressed in slick sportswear — they are perfect for one another. It’s interesting that she looks more bedraggled than he does … but at least she’s up and walking around (especially after her scary horse-riding accident last weekend). Glad to see that things appear to be going along swimmingly for Madonna & Child. Can you believe that these two are still going strong?

Passers-by outside New York’s Kabbalah centre must have performed a double-take when Madonna and her entourage turned up yesterday. For the Material Girl not only brought her on/off toyboy Jesus Luz, but her ex Carlos Leon also came along. Fueling rumours that the 50-year-old is back with the Brazilian model, 22, the Queen of pop left the centre with Luz and her three children in tow. Leon, is of course, father to Madonna’s eldest child, Lourdes, 12. Also in attendance was her adopted son, David Banda, and Rocco – but his father, Guy Ritchie, was noticeably absent. It’s the second time Madonna has been spotted with Luz since she announced on Twitter that the pair had split. The singer split from the model, who 28 years her junior, days before flying to Malawi in a failed attempt to adopt the three-year-old child Mercy James. It was reported at the time that Madonna had been told there was disquiet in the country about her lifestyle. But since her request to take Mercy James back to New York was refused, it appears Madonna has rekindled her romance with her ex. She is currently appealing after her bid to adopt orphaned Mercy was rejected by the Malawian courts.

Talk about an entourage … that’s quite a happy family she’s got there. It’s a shame their happy togetherness had to be marred by her accident last evening but at least we know that her day started out much better than it ended. It appears that Jesus Luz is back in full swing as Maddy’s companion and, barring interference from Immigration, will likely be spending a lot of time together. I suspect Chuy is currently keeping vigil by Madonna’s bedside in the hospital like a good little toyboy should. Again, I do hope that Madonna suffered no serious injuries and that she will be back on her feet very soon.

When Madonna decided to dress up as a schoolgirl for a fancy dress party in New York, she didn’t have to look far for inspiration. The 50-year-old simply let herself loose in her teenage daughter Lourdes’ wardrobe. She borrowed a waistcoat and tie, striped hosiery, a smiley face ring and pair of Converse sneakers from the 13-year-old, who has been seen wearing the items on separate occasions in recent times. The singer completed the look with a black wig, racy fishnet tights and a short skirt to mark the Jewish celebration of Purim at the Kabbalah Centre. Her boyfriend Jesus Luz, 22, joined in the festivities wearing a Joker costume, complete with full face make-up and a striking purple pinstripe suit and green waistcoat. He was seen emerging from the venue with Jessica Seinfeld, wife of comedian Jerry Seinfeld. The 37-year-old was dressed as a Persian princess and entered the Kabbalah centre hand-in-hand with Luz as the pair apparently pretended to be a couple. Madonna was celebrating Purim, which commemorates the deliverance of the Jewish people of the ancient Persian Empire from nobleman Haman’s plot to annihilate them, as recorded in the Biblical Book of Esther.

See, I would rather see Madonna’s costume choice NOT as the first signs of a burgeoning mid-life crisis but rather as a cheeky nod to her daughter’s bold fashion sense. I think it’s a really cute idea. And BOY what a difference a year makes … around this time 12 months ago we were fairly sure that things were still on the up and up in Maddy and Guy’s marriage. While I may still have no idea exactly what the Jewish Festival of Purim is all about (and trust me, my Jewish boyfriend is NO help at all) I have to admit that it looks like a good time. In my limited experience with Jewish celebration, I’ve come to discover that Jewish religious celebrations tend to be less formal and more jovial … very unlike the staunch Christian “celebrations” that I endured in my youth. The Jews know how to have fun, which is why they are ace in my book. Happy Purim, y’all!!

It appears that Maddy and Jesus are still very much together as he continues to be included in her familial visits to her beloved place of worship. Now, there are reports that 50 year old Madonna and 22 year old Jesus are just friends (ie. together for the sake of publicity) and while I wouldn’t put it past Madonna to cook up such a genius ploy, I can’t help but imagine that she and Jesus are foolin’ around at least a little bit. Madonna would not be Madonna if she weren’t enjoying herself to the nth degree.

Model Jesus Luz added fuel to the rumours of a relationship with Madonna, when he accompanied the singer and her adopted son David Banda to a Kabbalah meeting yesterday. The couple arrived and left the centre separately, no doubt in a bid to hide their budding romance. A dinner à deux, just a few days ago, left us little convinced by their efforts though. And if images from a photo shoot in December for hip US magazine W are anything to go by, the pair are already on very friendly terms. That’s more than can be said for Madonna and her estranged husband Guy Ritchie, who are said to be at loggerheads over where their sons are to be raised. The Lock Stock director has been championing a British education, while Madonna, 50, claims it was part of their divorce settlement for the boys to be based in New York with her. It emerged yesterday that they have already been enrolled in schools stateside. Meanwhile Guy is said to be concerned over Madonna’s near-naked poses with her new boyfriend, Brazilian model Jesus Luz, in America’s W magazine. “Guy is concerned the kids will get teased and he thinks it’s tasteless that she’s flaunting herself with another man all over a magazine,” the source adds.

HMMM. First Maddy introduces Jesus to her children, then she indoctrinates him to her religion … it sounds serious, y’all. I’m not really sure why Madonna & Child are putting on a show by arriving at the Kabbalah Centre separately, as if they each decided independent of one another to go to a Kabbalah meeting. They might as well share cab fare, they ain’t foolin’ anyone. At 22, Jesus appears to be a very impressionable young man … being allowed to “hang out” with (or in?) Madonna is prolly a very heady experience. He is, most likely, in a position to be molded by her in any way she desires, according to any whim she may entertain. I suspect that as long as Madonna is interested, we’ll be seeing poor little Jesus Luz following her around like an enamored puppy begging for attention. Lord have mercy!

Maddy and the children have been in NYC a lot lately, which is normal since that is where I understand she plans to life full-time once her divorce from Guy is totally and completely signed, sealed and delivered. Guy, too, has been in NYC for the past week or so since the movie he’s directing, Sherlock Holmes, is currently in production in Brooklyn, NY. It’s really great to see that the Ciccone-Ritchie clan can keep it together even tho they are legally separating. It looks a lot like Madonna and Guy plan to remain good friends even after the divorce is a done deal … which bodes well for their children. I guess it’s true what they say about the family that Kabbalahs together.

With all the craziness going on in Madonna’s life … her divorce from Guy Ritchie, her rumored affair with Jesus Luz … she continues to stay grounded with the two most important things in her life — her children and her religion. If you would’ve told me that this is what Madonna’s life would be based around 20 years ago, I never would’ve believed it. Madonna has a cunning way of still staying Madonna but also maintaining a life that is still fairly traditional, at least in some respects. And look, it appears that David Banda is already acclimating himself to the paparazzi sitch his life revolves around now. I’m looking forward to seeing what 2009 holds for Madonna and her children … now that she’s single again, it should be a very interesting year of innuendo and speculation … can’t wait.

Honestly, it looks like biz as usual for Maddy and the kids. Even when she was “happily married” to Guy, the sight of Madonna and the kids making their way into and out of various Kabbalah Centres on a weekly basis was the norm. There are some reports that Kabbalah actually played a big role in the demise of the Madonna-Guy marriage (ie. that Guy wasn’t fully on board with the religious practice) but only the two of them know the truth reasons for the end of their union. As strong as Madonna is, I still feel sad that her marriage didn’t work out. I really believe that she and Guy were truly happy for a long time … for much of their 7 1/2 year marriage. She may not like to show it but I’m sure she’s hurting … deep down inside … somewhere. But, again, she is a rock and I know she’ll be totally fine after all is said and done. At least, that’s what she’ll make sure we all see on the outside.

Madonna whisked her Malawian son David off to worship at a Kabbalah centre while on a break from her Sticky and Sweet tour in New York last night. The three-year-old, dressed in a white outfit, clung to his superstar mother as they arrived for a service at the temple. The 50-year-old, dressed in a floral print frock and long black cardigan, was also accompanied by her manager Guy Oseary. Across the globe, husband Guy Ritchie was enjoying a night out with the couple’s son Rocco, 7, at London’s Cipriani restaurant. Madonna made no secret of her plans to raise her youngest son as a follower of Kabbalah when she first took over as his carer, but insists he is free to be a Christian like his biological father when he’s older. The singer, who began studying the mystical offshoot of Judaism in 1996, has raised her biological children Lourdes,11, and Rocco, 7, as Kabbalists with the help of husband Guy. David regularly wears a red Kabbalah bracelet on his wrist and Madonna has previously said: “I believe in Jesus and I study the Kabbalah, so I don’t see why he can’t too. If David decides he wants to be a Christian, then so be it.” Madonna is gearing up to perform four dates in Madison Square Garden, New York this month and will end the tour will end in Sao Paolo, Brazil, on December 18.

So cute … I think the yarmulke really suits little David, don’t you? It’s impressive that while Madonna is currently consumed with a world tour of pretty epic proportions she still manages to carve out vacation time and worship time for and with her children. Madonna is proof positive that you really can have it all if you work hard enough. Love it.
