Madonna, Mercy James & David Banda Get Their Collective Kabbalah On

Simply, adorable
Saturday, July 4th, 2009

Earlier today Madonna and her newest children Chifundo Mercy James and David Banda made their way, en mass, to the Kabbalah Centre in London, England for a little religiousity to get the day started out right. As you may recall, Madonna kicks off a new leg of her Sticky & Sweet Tour at the O2 Arena in London tonight so it appears that she wanted to get in a bit of churchin’ beforehand … here are a few photos:

As you can see, little Mercy and David got all dolled up for the occasion … Madonna just wore whatever work-out clothes (hopefully clean) that she had handy. Nonetheless, despite Maddy’s dressed-downness they all look super-adorable together … I’m so happy for Maddy’s newly expanded family.

Oh and remember that you can watch Sky1’s broadcast of Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet Tour performance from Buenos Aires, Argentina last December online HERE live TODAY at 1PM PT, 4PM ET. Don’t miss it!!

Madonna Gives Mercy James A Piggy-Back Ride

Soooooo cute!!
Saturday, June 27th, 2009

Awww … here is our FIRST LOOK at Madonna with her newly adopted daughter Chifundo Mercy James as they made their way out of a service at the Kabbalah Centre in London earlier today. As you can see from these ADORABLE photos, Maddy gave Mercy a piggy-back ride as they made their way to their waiting car:

Seriously, this is the cutest thing ever!! As you may recall, Mercy finally made her way from Malawi to London just last weekend and altho we got a tiny glimpse of her with Madonna earlier this week (and a cute pic of her without mama Maddy), this is the first time mother and child have been photographed in public together. I love these pics! I cannot wait to see more photos of Mercy enjoying life with her new family.

Mercy James Finally Unites With Her New Family

Her first visit to the Kabbalah Centre
Sunday, June 21st, 2009

After the confusion yesterday over Where in the World is Chifundo Mercy James?, we learn today that little Miss Mercy has finally been united with her new family in London, England. Madonna and kids made their way to the Kabbalah Centre in London to meet up with her ex-hubby and father of her children, Guy Ritchie, for a little churchin’ … and from beneath one of the umbrella screens a little, tiny hand popped out — belonging to Madonna’s new daughter Mercy James:

It’s the most gentle of gestures – a tiny hand holding tightly onto the jacket of the woman carefully cradling her. This is the first glimpse of pop star Madonna and her new daughter Mercy James – who were united yesterday after the child flew into Britain. Hours after the four-year-old arrived on a flight from Malawi to Heathrow she got a taste of her new life as she joined her family on a trip to London’’s Kabbalah Centre. Hidden beneath a sea of shielding umbrellas Mercy was briefly glimpsed as she joined older sister Lourdes, and brothers David and Rocco at the centre. Even Madonna’s ex-husband Guy Ritchie was at the centre to meet the new arrival, whose adoption he publicly supported. Madonna, 50, had flown into Britain from New York with her three other children hours earlier. It is thought to be the first time that she has seen her new daughter since she travelled to Malawi in April when her adoption bid was initially rejected before being approved this month. Malawian police arranged for the airport terminal in Lilongwe to shut so Mercy and her new nanny Joanne could leave privately on a private six-seater Cessna Citation plane. They headed to Johannesburg on the first leg of their journey. From there the group flew first-class on a night flight to Heathrow, landing at 6.30am. Earlier Mercy was said to be filled with excitement at leaving her temporary home at Kumbali Lodge in Malawi. One member of staff said: “She was running around, singing to herself and telling everyone how she would be flying for the first time.” She said goodbye in her native language, telling staff: “I’m going now, I’m going on a plane, I’m going up to the sky.”

Yay!! At last … Mercy James is at home with her loving family! This union with her family has been a LONG time coming. I have to say, while the cute little story about Mercy “running around” is cute, I find it highly unlikely that anyone who has been allowed in close proximity to her would be talking to the press … no way. Even still, I’m sure the precious little girl was very excited (prolly a wee bit scared) to begin her new life with her new family. Madonna will be hittin’ the road again soon so she’s gonna have her hands full with all those kids plus a new concert tour. Hopefully we’ll be seeing a better picture of Mercy with her mother very soon :)

Madonna Surfaces Solo In London

Where Would Jesus Hide?
Sunday, December 28th, 2008

After spending some time in São Paulo, Brazil last week celebrating the end of her Sticky & Sweet World Tour with a much younger modelboy named Jesus Luz, Madonna made her way back to Londontown to celebrate Xmas with her family. Altho word has it that Jesus followed Maddy to London, the pair have not been seen together since their separate arrivals in town. Madonna did managed to make her way to the London Kabbalah Centre (where she *randomly* ran into her soon-to-be ex-hubby Guy Ritchie) but, for the most part when she wasn’t with her children, has been spending a bit of alonetime with herself. Here are a few pics of Maddy making her escape from the Kabbalah Centre and then stepping out on her own this weekend:

They may be in the middle of a multi-million pound divorce, but Madonna and Guy Ritchie apparently put aside their differences as they visited a Kabbalah Centre yesterday. The pop star, who later joined Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin for dinner, arrived, and left in a different vehicle from her estranged husband. But both were at the centre at the same time, along with children Lourdes, Rocco and David. They were seen walking outside the centre, near London’s Oxford Street, with Rocco leading the way, Guy and David following, and Madonna and Lourdes lagging behind. Later, Madonna, who has been linked with Briazilian model Jesus Luz, was spotted outside the fashionable Locanda Locatelli restaurant, where she had been dining with Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin. t was reported that the actress had spent months begging Madonna to save her marriage, and, along with Stella McCartney, has proved supportive in the wake of the divorce from her film director husband. Yesterday’s Kabbalah meeting comes after the divorcing couple called a truce for Christmas and struck a deal to spend the festive season in Britain. Madonna returned to England the day before Christmas Eve – for the first time since the couple split. She met her husband in London to hand over their sons. Minutes later he headed for the £10 million Ashcombe House estate, which he has taken ownership of as part of their divorce settlement. The boys and Guy enjoyed a traditional family Christmas, while Madonna and Lourdes remained in London. The singer does not celebrate the holiday. On Boxing Day Guy returned his sons to Madonna, before picked up David to take him to the Kabbalah centre. The two then joined the rest of the family at Madonna’s house and Guy was not seen leaving until the next day. After returning to his flat to freshen up yesterday he then made his way to the Kabbalah centre, where he was joined by the rest of the family. The couple, who were granted their decree nisi in London last month, have joint custody of their sons.

I cannot even imagine how chilly the couple’s relationship must be … tho, if they’ve been planning this divorce for some time, perhaps they reached a friendly agreement months ago and are just trying to keep up appearances as best they can with everyone watching. I’m curious to see if Maddy does hook up with Jesus Luz at some point while he is supposedly in London. Madonna and Jesus is kinda to perfect … I’d love to see the relationship develop, if only for the laughs that are, undoubtedly, to ensue.
