‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 8 Releases The First Batch Of Promo Photos

Another thrilling season of Dancing with the Stars is nearly upon us and just weeks after the list of celebrity contestants who have signed on to compete for the Dancing with the Stars Championship title we get our first look at the promo photos of all of the contestants paired up with their professional partners. As I’ve mentioned in seasons past, I am not a fan of the show … but I do tend to have a favorite or two that I tend to root for on the sidelines. This time around, I’m throwing all my support around the fabulous Lil’ Kim:

Kim is paired up with professional dancer Derek Hough … and they will face 12 other pairs of contestants when the next season of Dancing with the Stars hits the airwaves next month. After the jump, check out the rest of the promo pics of this seasons stars and their professional dancing partners …

Clearly, the DWTS Photoshopper is really fond of using the lens flare tool on these promo pics … which gives that cheese effect in each of the photos. Meh, when in Rome, I suppose. While I am really rooting for Lil’ Kim to win it all I am also loving that Belinda Carlisle is in competition this season … tho, I fear that they cast her as the elder contestant a la Cloris Leachman last season — OUCH! On the celeb man front, I think I’ll throw my support behind French actor Gilles Marini. I really became a big fan of his after seeing him in the Sex and the City Movie last Spring … I woudn’t mind rooting for him. Are any of y’all excited for this new season? Jewel Kilcher Got Naughty In A Photo Booth

Okay … y’all will have to indulge me for a sec … I realize that this photo is about 5 years old now but Pink reader Faith recently stumbled upon it and reminded me of how awesome it really is. After all, some of you may have missed it the first time … so without further ado … Here is a pic of Jewel Kilcher and a guy, who may or may not be her new husband Ty Murray (it does look like it could be him), flashing Jewel’s right breast inside the famed photo booth at MTV studios in Times Square back in 2003. Guests of TRL used to pop into (and pop out, apparently) the photo booth to take photos for the network and may or may not have been aware that a video camera was also inside the booth to videotape the guests:

LOL … honestly, it’s a great pic. If the guy in the pic with Jewel really is her new hubby Ty then I think a framed copy of this photo would make a most excellent wedding gift. If it’s not him, well, then … I guess not. That doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy it … again ;)

Jewel Marries Her Cowboy In Secret … Tell Everyone

Yodeler supreme Jewel Kilcher finally said I Do to her longtime cowboy boyfriend/fiancée Ty Murray in a super secret, hush-hush beach wedding in the Bahamas last week in an effort to evade public scrutiny by the media … and then immediately issued a press statement to People magazine the following day to tell the tale. HMMM. What I think is a bit hilarious is that Jewel thought there might be a crush of paps hunting her down to photograph her wedding … I mean, I don’t really see that happening but … whatevs. In any event, here is the first wedding photo of Jewel and Ty which the couple have released themselves, once again, to People magazine which you can see HERE:

Jewel sure knows how to pull off a hush-hush wedding. Without family, friends (or paparazzi!) knowing, the singer and rodeo star Ty Murray eloped to the Bahamas on Aug. 7. “To pull off the wedding quietly made it magical,” Jewel told PEOPLE the following day. Held at The Cove Atlantis resort in the Bahamas, the very private affair included just two guests: Jewel’s former keyboard player Jason Freese, who officiated (the couple found out he had been ordained online) and his wife Amy. At sunset, as Otis Redding’s “I’ve Been Loving You Too Long” played from their private cabana, Jewel, 34, (in Monique Lhuillier) met her groom (in jeans and cowboy boots) in the sand to recite their handwritten vows. “I said that I’ll try to make our lives the best piece of art I’ve ever done,” she said. Murray, 38, secretly proposed to the singer on her birthday, May 23, and the couple decided to elope since “we feel that’s what marriage is – just me and her,” he said. After their “I dos” the newlyweds called their families to break their happy news and enjoyed a surprise fireworks display from the resort. “It felt,” said the groom, “like we were the only ones in the world.” Perhaps not for long: Jewel told PEOPLE that she and Murray are “ready to start a family.” In fact, her new husband added, “We’re going to start working on that tonight!”

I suppose congrats are in order for the happy newlyweds. They did it! They pulled off the quiet wedding of their dreams. How Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon of them. They’re a wily couple, aren’t they? Again, much congrats :)
