Jessica Simpson’s mad, and she’s not going to take it anymore. After dealing with the especially painful loss of maltipoo Daisy, who was taken from her back yard by a coyote on Sept. 14, the singer has apparently been inundated with false sightings of her beloved pup. She took to Twitter late Sunday night to say,

“People have been contacting my family and friends saying that Daisy has been found. Untrue. People are so cruel. Please respect her memory.”

While I agree that it is cruel to lie to Jess in this way, she kinda did open herself up to this sort of treatment by appealing to the public for their help. In any event, it’s clear that she has finally realized that there is no way Daisy could’ve survived her abduction. I hope the sweet little dear is resting peacefully in doggie heaven. Jessica Simpson is moving on. Days after calling off the search for her dog Daisy who was snatched by a coyote last week, the star, 29, is in Uganda, Africa, filming more of her upcoming reality show, The Price of Beauty. “WTF?!?” she Twittered Wednesday after posting a photo of herself surrounded by protective fly nets. “Do I really have to sleep like this?” Simpson, who is in Africa with pals Ken Paves and Cacee Cobb, is “focusing on work” after the loss of her 5-year-old maltipoo, a source close to the star tells Usmagazine.com. “She’s so happy just seeing the world and opening her eyes to what’s out there,” another source tells Us. “This is a good project for her.” The star is also set to visit Mumbai, India, for the show, which does not yet have a premiere date.

Ugh … Jess always looks so … miserable. The pouty lip, the sad eyes … she really does seem to have the worst luck imaginable. True, her suffering in Africa is totally by her choice but still … considering the year she’s had thus far, it’d actually be nice to see her smile again. It is heartening that she, at least, has her work and her friends to rely on these days … how many knocks can one person take before they lose their shizz? I just hope this Price of Beauty TV show gets picked up and aired by some network … but, to be honest, considering her luck these days … well, I’m not really counting on it just yet.

My heart is broken because a coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes. HORROR! We are searching. Hoping. Please help!

I’m not exactly sure what kind of help she is hoping to get from people. Coyotes who are brazen enough to snatch away dogs right in front of humans are not the kind of animals that are likely to let those animals live for long once they snatch them away. It sucks that Jessica is holding out so much hope for Daisy’s return since she’s already suffered so much disappointment in life but methinks that Daisy has already made her way to that shining dog kennel in the sky. I suppose there is always room for hope and I sincerely do hope that Jessica will be reunited with her beloved pet but … I got strong feeling in my gut that that scenario is very unlikely to happen :(

Jessica is newly single after being dumped by her American Football player boyfriend Tony Romo. After the unexpected end to her relationship, on the eve of her birthday, the 29-year-old got away from it all with a trip to Japan. And a change of scene certainly seems to be helping the beauty move on. She couldn’t stop giggling as she and best friend Cacee Cobb and hairdresser Ken Paves explored the cobbled streets of the Asakusa district of Tokyo, in the shadow of Tokyo’s ancient Senso-ji Buddhist temple, founded in 628. Jessica slowly navigated her way along in four-inch wooden sandals and a floor-length silk kimono with an intricate purple and gold design. Kimonos like the one worn by Jessica can cost upwards of $10,000 and with accessories such as the decorative Obi belt the price can reach more than $20,000. During her trip to Japan, to film her new VH1 series The Price Of Beauty, Jessica was shaken by the impact of a magnitude 6.6 earthquake. ‘Thought I was hallucinating,’ she posted on Twitter on Monday. ‘I have never felt anything like this in my life. Laying in bed watching CNN.’

Oh Jess … the poor dear. Why is it that everything she does seem so sadly tragic? Even when she tries her hardest to succeed it only falls flat on its face. I have a gut feeling that this Price of Beauty show she’s working up for VH1 is going to be another one of her bombs, I can just tell.

If there’s anyone a celebrity can rely on in her time of need – it’s her hairdresser. And who better for newly single Jessica Simpson to step out with than close friend Ken Paves, as she glammed up to celebrate the celebrity hairdresser’s birthday at restaurant Beso. Blonde Jessica wore a tight black dress which showed off her hourglass figure. But although she was out for a big night, she didn’t appear to be in much of a party mood as she left the restaurant owned by Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria. Looking downcast, and fed up Jessica was mobbed by photographers and fans and appeared to be keen to exit the fuss as quickly as possible.

As you may recall, it was reported that Tony Romo broke up with Jessica on the eve of her birthday last month because he didn’t want to play Ken in her plans for a Barbie & Ken-themed birthday party. If Jess had just enlisted her real-life Ken to play with her, she might still be with her real boyfriend. Ah well … that ship has sailed. Now Jess is back on the market … but while she waits for her next Mr. Right, it’s nice that she’s got good ol’ reliable Ken Paves to lean on.

Jessica Simpson is sporting a new diamond ring today. No, she and Tony Romo haven’t reconciled with an engagement. Ms. Simpson hit a listening party in Hollywood last night for An-Ya, a Russian pop singer signed to Joe Simpson’s music label. Before the night was over, Jessica walked away with a $10,000 5-carat ring from party host jewelry designer Pascal Mouawad’s Black and White Diamond Collection. “If you didn’t already know Jessica just went through a breakup, you really would have no way of telling from the way she was behaving at the event,” an eyewitness reported. “She really seemed happy.” While Jessica refused to do media at the soiree, Papa Joe gave us an update on his unlucky-in-love offspring. “She’s good,” Joe said. “She’s doing very good.” Not too sure if she’ll be feeling the same when she gets wind of US Weekly’s new cover story. The celeb tabloid claims Romo is already smitten with a new gal, recent college graduate Natalie Smith (her dad is the athletic director from Romo’s alma mater, Eastern Illinois University). Smith denies to the mag that there was a romance. A rep for Romo declined to comment when we asked about the report earlier today. At least Jessica has work to help take her mind away from Romo. Joe said they leave for Japan in a couple of weeks to work on her upcoming VH1 reality show about beauty.

Ah, Jess … who needs a boyfriend when you’ve got Papa Joe Simpson always at the ready. Lawd, that girl is gonna be single forever … I just know it. But, it’s good that she’s feeling well enough to start going out to events again … hopefully she will be able to move on and away from this latest break-up and focus on her career. Granted, she hasn’t had the best luck in that arena either but … well, keep on keepin’ on, Jessica. You can do it!

Clearly, Jessica wants the world to know that she has already washed that man right out of her hair and she is a happy camper. With her ladies by her side and her trademark mile-long smile, she’s telling the world I’m OK! Whether or not that is actually the case is beside the point … at this stage in a break-up, she can’t let the guy who dumped her know she is mourning the loss. I’m not a big Jessica Simpson fan but I do feel bad for her … here’s hoping she gets over the break-up as soon as she can. My guess is that she’ll be single for some time to come.

She was supposed to celebrate with a Ken and Barbie-themed party. (On Simpson’s birthday, Romo spent the night at Los Angeles hot spot My House.) “She canceled her party because of this,” the source tells Us. “She’s doing OK.” Adds a close friend of Romo’s: “It’s been a long time coming.” Still, another source tells Us the volatile couple could always get back together. “They go from one fight right into another, without a second break,” the source tells Us. “It’s always something with Jessica.” Reps for both stars could not be reached.

I mean … yeah. When last we saw Jessimo together here on the blog they were enjoying happier times in NYC back around Valentine’s Day. I do not know Jessica Simpson but I imagine it is difficult to be romantically involved with her. It seems to me that she comes with a lot of baggage not the least of which is her meddling, overbearing father papa Joe Simpson. To be completely honest, I’m surprised that Tony Romo lasted this long. He endured a lot of grief during his tenure as Jessica’s boyfriend … I guess, in the end, being with her wasn’t worth it anymore. IMHO, he would do better to find himself a less high-profile girlfriend next. I honestly don’t know who would be a good match for Jessica. I guess it’ll, eventually, be up to Papa Joe to decide.

Having professed her love for Tony Romo – whom she’s been dating since Thanksgiving 2007 – Jessica Simpson now has the Dallas Cowboys quarterback speaking up about her. “We’re very similar in that we both appreciate the hometown feel to a lot of things, and live our life like that,” Romo, described as “big, easy, handsome,” tells the June issue of Vanity Fair (on sale in New York and Los Angeles May 6 and nationally May 12). “She comes to a ton of games,” he says. “She’s a supportive girlfriend.” Not that this has been unanimously viewed as an advantage. In what at the time was perceived as a curse – and, as Vanity Fair’s Rich Cohen points out, in Texas where the Cowboys are a religion, Simpson’s dating Romo is like she’s dating the Pope – the couple vacationed in Mexico before the Cowboys lost to the New York Giants in the 2008 NFL playoffs. The Giants, meanwhile, went on to win the Super Bowl. According to Romo, 29, between games, “A lot of people head to Vegas, go back to their hometowns, colleges, and stuff. I was just like, ‘Let’s rent a house and sit around and watch football.’ It seemed like a good decision. But when you’re in the public eye, things can be perceived differently.” He adds, “You know, it’s very hard when you lose, because games are important, and so many people put so much time and effort in. It’s nice to have someone to come home to and try and make you feel better.” Simpson, 28, concurs. “That’s how the story goes,” she says. “Can’t help it. But we don’t let it affect our relationship. Then there are her professional highs and lows, which include a not particularly enviable movie box-office record and a musical identity that is anything but constant, prompting Sony Music head Tommy Mottola to say, “I think she absolutely needs to re-invent herself.” At the same time, Mottola (who signed Simpson to her first label, in 1997), warns Simpson against flip-flopping between pop, Christian rock and country music – and thereby confusing her audience. In the face of such challenges, Simpson, underscoring her spiritual self, says, “We all go through trials, but not one thing has ever made me question God. I have a great relationship with God. I can talk to him, get mad at him, frustrated with him. But, ultimately, my faith is what defines me.” Besides, she adds, “There will always be another opportunity, another door to walk through.”

Ugh, the cover is really bad … but good for her for scoring the VF cover in the first place. She really doesn’t have anything of interest to talk about with the mag. I guess I’m not entirely sure why she got the cover in the first place … she’s got no new movies on the horizon (nor any old movies worth talking about) and no new album about to be released (she actually just got let go from her Country music label) … AND it’s not even football season to make Romo’s participation in the interview relevant. The entire feel of her VF coverpiece is focused on her apparent shortcomings and setbacks. Is any of this really worthy of a magazine cover? Surely the magazine, at the very least, published a stunning photoshoot to offset the lackluster interview … right? Snoozeville. I have to say that I am very surprised that Vanity Fair magazine would devote so much coverage to someone who really doesn’t have anything going on right now. No offense to Jessica but what about her life right now is coverstory worthy? Looks like Jessica Simpson’s country crooning days are over. The singer, 28, is no longer with the Sony Nashville label, her rep confirms to Usmagazine.com. Earlier today, blogs were abuzz that Simpson was dropped from the label after her name was noticeably missing from both the Columbia Nashville and Sony Music Nashville websites. Simpson also skipped Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards, even though she announced the nominees earlier this year. But the singer’s rep tells Us, “She was on loan to Sony Nashville for her country album.” Simpson, who has released pop albums on the Epic label, “is and has always been an Epic artist,” her rep adds. “She continues to be on Epic’s label.” Although Simpson’s country debut, Do You Know, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard country charts, it only sold 172,876 copies as of February. Simpson also struggled as she opened for Rascal Flatts this year, often flubbing lines or forgetting lyrics altogether. (It didn’t help that critics seemed to focus more on her weight gain than her singing.)

It seems clear to me that if Jessica Simpson had been a successful Country Music artist, she would not have been dropped by the label — but the “loan” excuse is a good one. It remains to be seen if this setback will result in the end of her career in Country Music but, to be honest, she really hasn’t had much success with any aspect of her music career. Well, at least she has acting to fall back on … er, tho, she hasn’t had much success there either. HMMM … what else is Jessica Simpson good at … does anyone know? Mebbe if that little thing can get figured out then she can plan her next step. One thing’s for sure, State Fairs and Hot Dog Eating contests are sure gonna be lonely in the foreseeable future without Jessica Simpson there to perform anymore :(
