Jessica Biel played host in the ballroom of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA yesterday for the 81st Annual Academy Awards Scientific And Technical Awards Ceremony … which are basically, the Geek Oscars. On a weekend when the Grammys were attracting most of the attention, Jessica Biel grabbed some Oscar spotlight for the people who make the movies look so good – and the actress looked pretty good herself. Wearing a strapless, silver-and-gold, floor-length Oscar De La Renta gown with magenta trim, Biel hosted the 81st Annual Science and Technical Oscars Saturday night, handing out awards to the unsung heroes who design Hollywood’s lighting systems, playback monitors, zoom lenses and computer graphics. The job required more than just looks, however. “They should call this show ‘Are You Smarter Than a 15th Grader,’” joked Biel as she valiantly waded through a river of difficult technical jargon. Befitting the industry’s ongoing transformation from hand-drawn to computer animation, the highest award –­ and the evening’s lone Oscar statuette –­ went to digital graphics pioneer and Pixar Animation Studios president Ed Catmull. Past starlets who have paid tribute to the industry top scientists and inventors include Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansson and Jennifer Garner. While not televised, excerpts from the evening will be played during the telecast of the 81st Academy Awards on Feb. 22.

I kinda love how they always tap ladies from Young Hollywood to host these awards year after year … I’m convinced the real reason they do not broadcast these awards is because the Motion Picture Academy doesn’t want the world to watch these ladies fumble thru trying to read their lines on national television. I’m also convinced that the Academy asks the ladies from Young Hollywood to host because the real actresses (you know, the ones that actually have a chance at winning Oscars sometime in their career) aren’t really interested … you gotta know that hosting the Geek Oscars is the only way some of these ladies (Alba, Johansson, Biel) will ever get their hands on actual Ocsars in their lifetime ;) In any event, Jessica Biel looked pretty amazing in her Oscar De La Renta and much congrats goes out to the talented tech folks who won Academy Awards this year.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel were spotted out and about yesterday near a hiking trail checking out a few posted notices on one of the bulletin boards there … could it be that Justica are lookin’ to adopt?

Yesterday we saw a few photos of lovebirds Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel enjoying an afternoon of sightseeing at the famed Colosseum in Rome, Italy. I noted then that JT didn’t look like he was enjoying himself very much … he looked pissy and crabby in the pics. Here are new pics of Justica elsewhere in Rome engaged in a different sort of enterprise altogether … and boy, Justin sure looks a lot happier in these pics:

AWWWWWWWWWWWW yeah … now this is more like it. I understand that Italy is a great place for romance and judging by these pics of Justica gettin hot and heavy up against a wall on some random street, I’d say that is an adequate description. While I totally believe that there is genuine lurve going on in these pics, I have to say that it kinda looks like a scene out of a music video. Whatevs, as long as they are enjoying the sweet music of love, I can’t hate. You go, kids. Get your freak on no matter who’s watching ;)

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are the latest celeb couple to take off on a romantic holiday together. Justica have made their way to the beautiful city of Rome, Italy and were snapped enjoying an afternoon of sightseeing at the famed Colosseum. Here are a few pics:

Yeah, Justin looks really pissy in these pics … I hope he wasn’t besmirching the amazing Italian architecture and was just showing off his usual crabby demeanor. I’m sure the couple were having a wonderfully happy time together despite Justin’s scowlyness. It’s easy to see how Jessica can love him so, ain’t it?

Look at that … so in lurve, so happy to show how in lurve they are. It’s precious! I find it interesting that the pair were shopping for new furniture together … perhaps because they are planning to move in together … perhaps because they may be planning a wedding sometime soon as I recently speculated they might? Whatevs, I like these two together … Jessica makes a great match for JT. I think she softens him up a bit. He’s been walking around like he’s got a huge stick up his butt for far too long … I think Jessica Biel is very good for him.

Things appear to be going nicely for Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake these days as the couple were spied trying to sneak their way unnoticed into the Hollywood Bowl last night to attend the second LA Radiohead concert … there were unsuccessful in their sneakiness, here are a few pics of Justica at last night’s show:

I have to admit, I’m kinda surprised that these two are still happily attached, still going strong. I’m not sure that I really believed that JT and Jessica would stay together for long and yet, here they are after all these months. Perhaps JT really is ready to settle down? Mebbe there may be nuptials in the near future for Justica? I realize that attending a Radiohead concert does not equal marriage but … stranger things have happened. Will they marry, you think?

Other celebs may be gettin’ hitched left and right all over Hollywood but don’t plan on any nuptials for Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake anytime soon … if ever. According to JT’s BFF and biz partner, Trace Ayala, Justica ain’t planning on heading down the aisle in the foreseeable future:

Justin Timberlake’s BFF (and business partner) Trace Ayala doesn’t expect the singer and Jessica Biel to walk down the aisle anytime soon. Asked if he sees wedding bells in their future, he said, “I hope so. To be honest, I don’t see them in the future, but I hope so. I really do.” He spoke to reporters Wednesday at the Hollywood premiere of Timberlake’s new comedy The Love Guru about what makes their relationship work. “It is not just her, it is also him when he is with her — it is awesome,” he said. “They are just awesome together. She is just a great girl.”

HMM … It makes sense to me that JT would want to deffo keep his options open for a very long time before settling down to marry one woman. My question is, did Jessica Biel know this before she heard about it in US Weekly? It’s interesting that Trace used the words “I don’t see them in the future” … does that mean that he doesn’t see wedding bells or he doesn’t see the couple together?
