Jerry Bruckheimer Shares A New Photo Of Captain Jack Sparrow

Filming continues in Hawaii on the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean sequel film On Stranger Tides and producer Jerry Bruckheimer has shared a cool new photo on his official Twitter profile of Johnny Depp as Pirates protagonist Captain Jack Sparrow on the set of the film:

On location in Hawaii….CAPTAIN JACK IS BACK. Pirates of The Caribbean On Stranger Tides, coming Summer 2011

As you may recall, Bruckheimer posted the first photos from the Pirates set in Hawaii on his official Twitter profile back in June but this photo is his first posed photo which seems like it was shot specifically for fans on Twitter. I know there are a lot of y’all really excited for this movie so you might want to follow Jerry Bruckheimer on Twitter so you can get all the info directly from him. This is a very cool photo, I hope we get to see more like it as filming continues.

Jake Gyllenhaal Does WonderCon 2010

Earlier today we saw photos of Milla Jovovich and Ali Later promoting their new film Resident Evil: Afterlife at WonderCon in San Francisco, CA yesterday and right now we get to see a few photos of Hottie McHotster Jake Gyllenhaal doing a bit of promo work at WonderCon for his new film Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time … behold:

Le sigh. I feel bad for anyone (like Jerry Bruckheimer, here) who has to stand next to Jakey poo for a photo … they are always completely overshadowed by his beauteous brilliance. It’s a shame that WonderCon had to take place over Easter weekend because I would’ve been more than happy to fly up to San Fran to attend the convention and possibly run into Jake Gyllenhaal. Ah well … mebbe next time. Jake and his Persia compatriots did more than just promote their film at the convention, they also did a bit of partying afterwards. After the jump, check out a photo of Jake at the Prince of Persia afterparty where he was gifted with a very special new toy …

Jerry Bruckheimer debuts the movie's first footage
First Look: Video From The Set Of ‘Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time’

Jake Gyllenhaal‘s big action/adventure film Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time won’t be opening in theaters until May of 2010 but producer Jerry Bruckheimer has already teased with the first (tiny) bit of footage from the film in a new ABC Movie Special over the weekend. Here are a few caps of Jake as Prince Dastan in the film:

Disney’s live action movie based on the video game Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is still over a year away, but that hasn’t stopped the Mouse House from giving ABC viewers a first look at the movie thanks to producer Jerry Bruckheimer’s appearance during a recent ABC Movie Special. He talks about the plot of the movie, while the footage shows actor Jake Gyllenhaal’s training for the Parkour moves he uses in the film, which is directed by Mike Newel (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire), as well as some of the location shooting in the deserts of Morocco … Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is scheduled for release on May 28, Memorial Day weekend, 2010.

While this new footage is a great little tease, it doesn’t offer nearly enough Jakey pooness to fully satisfy. The scenes are pretty fleeting and there is only one shirtless scene, which goes by in an instant. After the jump, check out the full 2-minute clip of Bruckheimer chatting up the film and see the footage for yourself …
