It would seem that Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer have rekindled their special relationship after the couple broke up earlier this year (reportedly Jen dumped John because he posted too much of the couple’s personal biz on Twitter). As you may recall, Mayerston first broke up in August of 2008 (Mayer called a “press conference” with the paparazzi to explain why the couple split up) but then they got together in October of ‘08 in time to celebrate birthdays and movie premieres together. Now we’re hearing that the couple are hanging out again … because they have “remained close” even after their break-up. HMMM … does this mean we’ll be seeing a lot more of Mayerston out and about again?

It’s not the first time Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer have reunited after a split, but the couple are simply “enjoying their friendship,” says a source close to the singer. “They’ve been talking for a while – they’re very friendly.” Adds another source, “They’ve remained close.” The duo recently spent a night together late last month at New York City’s Bowery Hotel. “Jen was there on the arm of John and they were all very lovey,” says an onlooker. “She was in casual clothing as was he, and she seemed very comfortable around his crowd of friends.” Aniston, 40, and Mayer, 31, first called it quits in August 2008, only to reunite months later for a short time – and then split once again in March after a very public appearance together at the Oscars. At the time of their most recent split, a source told PEOPLE, “Jen got her feelings very hurt and she is done with John for good. They have no contact for now.” Reps could not be reached for comment.

Interesting … it sounds like Mr. Mayer has got a heaping dose of something that Ms. Aniston can’t live without. Whether these two are just enjoying a new round of booty callin’ or they are serious about fostering a real relationship together, I have to say that I am thrilled that Mayerston appear to be back together. They are such a fun celeb couple … one day they’re hiding from the cameras, the next day they’re mugging for the cameras … it’s always a fun time with Mayerston! Oh man … Ellen DeGeneres sure nailed Jennifer Aniston on national TV today. Jen paid a visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote her new movie Love Happens and Ellen brought up the matter of Jen’s next film wherein she will sing in the movie. Without missing a beat, Ellen ambushed and FORCED Jen to sing a little bit during her interview on the show. Jen looked and sounded a bit pissed, y’all … but she womaned up and sang a little bit for the audience:

She sang a few lines of Cole Porter’s I’ve Got a Crush on You … not very well, but hey, she was ambushed. I’m sure many people will say, It was staged! She knew she’d be singing! Here are a few photos of Jennifer Aniston getting busted, handcuffs and all, on the NYC set of her new film The Bounty which is currently in production:

As you can see, it is actor Gerard Butler doing the honors of taking Jen’s character into custody. In The Bounty, Butler plays a bounty hunter named Milo who finds out that his new mission is to apprehend his ex-wife Cassidy (played by Aniston) … well, you can imagine the hilarity that might ensue from such a comical circumstance. Production on the film will continue for some time, here’s hoping we get to see other photos of this pair engaged in various acts of law and disorder.

Jennifer Aniston is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Elle magazine … and while the coverstory interview has not been released online just yet, Elle is already teasing the issue by releasing Jen’s coverphoto, a few excerpts from her interview and a very revealing photo:

On using humor to get through tough situations: “I remember being 7 and asking my mom if I was as pretty as [my best friend] Monique. And with all the love in the world, my mom looked at me and said, ‘Oh, honey, you’re so funny.’ So, she doesn’t lie to me… She answers the question by not answering and instead tells me what she thinks is my greatest strength.”

Firstly, kudos to Jen for finally realizing and accepting her lot in life … she will forever be the terribly wealthy pretty girl who is destined to remain single for all time immemorial. Secondly, wow her mom was a beyotch! Even if your mama doesn’t think you’re as pretty as other kids, the least they could do is lie (tho, I’m of the mind that good moms could never see another child more beautiful than their own). I wonder what other nuggets of info Jennifer will be revealing in this issue of Elle magazine. Whatthe …? Doth mine eyes deceive me? Could it actually be??? Are these photos of Jennifer Aniston … smiling? And not just smiling … but smiling for the paparazzi??? Here are a few photos of a happy Jen Aniston on the NYC set of her new movie The Baster:

Wow! First off, she looks so good … she should smile more often. Second, WTF? is going on that has got Jennifer Aniston look so happy? Actually, I don’t even want to know … I don’t even care. She looks so pretty all smiley … she’s even smiling with her eyes, y’all!!! This is a happy sight to behold, she looks much better in these photos than she does when she’s trying to hide inside coats and blankets and stuff. This is a much better look for her, I hope it’s one that she continues to rock in the coming weeks and months.

It wasn’t that long ago that Jennifer Aniston was happily parading her romance with John Mayer in front of any and every paparazzo in town back when the couple were happily attached at the hip … but these days, now that she and John are dunzo (reportedly because he was more interested in Twitter than he was in her) Jen has, apparently, decided that she no longer wants to show her face in public under any circumstances. Here are a couple photos of Jen and her new co-star Jason Bateman making their way into rehearsals for their new movie The Baster which is currently in production in NYC:

As you can see, Jason has no problem walking into the building like a normal person. Jen, no longer shackled to Mayer’s love for the limelight, appears happy to cover herself from head to toe utterly and completely to as to avoid being photographed. I mean, c’mon … she is totally ridiculous. I don’t understand how she thinks that behaving like this in public will get people to NOT notice her and to NOT photograph her. LOL. It remains to be seen if Jennifer Aniston plans to never show her face in public again now that she’s single again but … I can’t wait to find out.

Now that we’ve had a couple of weeks to get used to the idea that Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer are dunzo, again, folks are starting to dish as to what the cause of the break-up was this time around. As we learned a couple of weeks ago, John apparently broke up with Jennifer after she returned from a trip to Europe … but today, we’re hearing that it was Jen that broke up with John … reportedly (and laughingly) because of his obsession with Twitter:

People claiming to be friends of the actress have told Star magazine that she finished the affair after discovering Mayer, 31, spent hours on the networking website, despite telling her he was too busy to get in touch with her. The pair started dating in April 2008, but have broken up several times. However, they appeared inseparable at the Oscars last month. A source claimed Aniston decided Mayer was not committed enough to her and called time on their romance having found hourly updates on his Twitter page. The source said: “John suddenly stopped calling her or returning her emails and when she would finally catch up with him, he’d say: ‘I’ve been so busy with work. I’m sorry I haven’t had time to call you back.” The source added: “Jen was fuming. There he was, telling her he didn’t have time for her and yet his page was filled with Twitter updates. Every few hours, sometimes minutes, he’d update with some stupid line. And in her mind, she was like ‘He has time for all this Twittering, but he can’t send me a text, an email, make a call?’.” It has also been claimed musician John made no attempt to cover up his Twitters. The source said: “He didn’t even deny it. He knew he was avoiding her. So when she called him on it and ended things, he just said OK, and that he was sorry it didn’t work out. “He took the break-up like a man.” Even so, shortly after Aniston’s call, Mayer’s Twitter update read: ‘This heart didn’t come with instructions.’

LOL! Man, as much as I wish this report was true, I’m afraid that it’s prolly a bit too ridiculous to be totally true … right? Anyone that follows John Mayer on Twitter knows that he is an avid tweeter and does post many times a day. If he truly did chose Twitter over Jennifer Aniston then he prolly deserved to get dumped. My guess is that the truth is prolly somewhere in the middle … he tweeted a lot and she hated it a lot … and then dunzo. This might be the first reported case of celebrity break-up due to Twitter-related complications … which is really sad. I just hope that this report doesn’t turn people off to using Twitter … I love it and can’t get enough — a fact that David is well aware of and is fine with … I think :)
