Last week we learned that Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge were dunzo after JL decided to start up a new relationship with a much older businessman named James Watson. Yesterday, at a Sonic Drive-In in Kentwood, Louisiana, Jamie Lynn was spotted with an older man alright … but it was not her reported new beau James. It turns out that JL was grabbing a bite to eat with her pappy Jamie Spears:

As I mentioned before, I’m happy to know that Jamie Lynn has come to her senses and moved on from her all-too-young baby daddy Casey Aldridge for an older, more mature man. I commend Casey-Lynn for giving it a try but clearly it didn’t work out and JL apparently decided that she and her baby needed more security than Casey could provide. It’s nice that Papa Spears flew out to spend some time with Jamie Lynn … he really seems to be there to take care of his daughters when they need him most. He basically saved Britney Spears‘s life (and most certainly saved her career). Now he’s there to help take care of his youngest child. Papa Spears to the rescue again!!

Britney Spears has successfully completed her first-ever Australian tour by playing her last Aussie date in Adelaide on November 29 … which means that she has also successfully completed her world tour The Circus starring Britney Spears! I understand that our dear Britney completed 97 shows over 9 months … that is quite a feat. What a great year Britney has had! She kicked off her tour in New Orleans, LA back in March and ended up touring the US twice along with many dates in Europe and Australia … well done!! I was fortunate enough to see the show 3 times (LA, Anaheim and Chicago) and I had a blast … as did, I’m sure, everyone else at the 94 other performances.

But, as with all good things, the show had to come to an end. Britney has already packed up her shizz and said goodbye to Oz. After the jump, check out a few photos of Britney making her way home from Australia earlier today …

Britney Spears was spotted making her way thru LAX Airport last night as she was bound for a flight to Australia. Britney is about to embark on the final leg of her massively successful tour The Circus starring Britney Spears and last night was her night to fly to Oz. Brit tweeted a message on her official Twitter profile about her trip and then popped up at the airport … here are a couple photos and her tweet message:

I hope all y’all Aussies are ready for our dear Britney‘s arrival. I understand it’s been EONS since she was in Australia and I’m sure there are hordes of rabid fans eagerly awaiting her return. Britney has scheduled 14 performances spread out from November 6 until November 29 in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbaine and Adelaide. As y’all know … I’ve seen the show, I LOVED the show … you Aussies are in for a treat! Enjoy!!

Uh huh … HMMM … yeah … so Britney Spears and her agent/beau Jason Trawick managed to sneak out of the town here in LA and pop up on a beach resort in Mexico over the weekend … which *may* have been a business trip but, in all likelihood, was a personal adventure together. Not to worry, Britwick brought Britney‘s young sons Sean Preston and Jayden James along for the ride and also included Brit‘s papa Jamie Spears. It is very evident that these boys love Jason … he seems to be very affectionate with them whenever we see them together … which seems to reinforce to me the notion that Britney and Jason are involved in a romantic relationship. Britney Spears ended the second leg of her North American tour, The Circus starring Britney Spears, at Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV last night and by all accounts the entire tour (which took her to Europe earlier this year and will take her to Australia later this year) has been a smashing success. Before Brit Brit took to the state for one last time (here in the US), she loaded up her men (sons – Sean Preson and Jayden James, father – Jamie Spears and rumored paramour and agent – Jason Trawick) and made her way to the Sugar Factory boutique to load up on candy for her kiddies … here are a few pics:

Aww … such a cute family. I’m not sure if I totally believe the rumors that Jason and Britney aren’t together together … but I still contend they make a very nice family when they are all together. After spending some time in NYC last week and a couple of quick pitstops in Boston, MA and Philadelphia, PA this weekend, Britney Spears brought her young’ns to Miami, FL to meet up with some members of her family … including her parents, Lynne and Jamie Spears … and her little sister Jamie Lynn Spears, who brought along her own young’n Maddie Briann. Our dear Britney Spears, who has been enjoying a short vacation in the Bahamas recently (in the close and intimate company of her family, her children and her very attentive agent Jason Trawick), managed to swing by Louisiana on Saturday in order to attend the wedding of her cousin Laura Lynne Covington in Amite, LA. Britney was only in town for a short visit to appear at the nuptials as an “honorary” bridesmaid (whatever that means) and to celebrate with her family at the reception … and then it was back on her private jet bound for home. Here are pics of Britney making her grand escape from Louisiana yesterday and some info about the family wedding itself:

After making a big splash in the Bahamas the day before, Britney Spears emerged Saturday in Amite, La., where she made a low-key appearance as an “honorary” bridesmaid at the wedding of her cousin, Laura Lynne Covington. “When her brother walked her down the aisle, she looked stunningly calm and beautiful,” says one wedding guest. “She was very pretty, low-key. She was not the center of everything, just pretty and calm and collected.” The wedding took place at the First United Methodist Church, the same church where the funeral for Covington’s mother Sandra, who died of ovarian cancer, took place in January 2007. Later, at the wedding reception, the pop star hung out with her sister and fellow bridesmaid, Jamie Lynn, who toted baby Maddie, and “sat at a table off to the side and visited with local people she knew,” says the guest. “There was no fanfare,” noted the guest. “With all the star power Britney and her family command, it was still the bride’s day.”

Unlike Britney‘s fake cousin and former assistant Alli Sims, Laura Lynne is Britney‘s real family and it makes sense that she would want to be a part of her special day. Laura Lynne was one of Britney‘s bridesmaids when she got married to Kevin Federline back in 2004. It’s very clear to me that Britney only makes time for her family in matters like this, which I think is very healthy and good for her overall progress. It’s clear to me that Britney doesn’t like making too many appearances, especially at functions where her fame might be exploited but you can tell she remains grounded and loved when she returns to Louisiana. Congrats goes out to Laura Lynne on her nuptials.

Aww … it really looks like everyone is having a great time, especially our dear Britney. Just when you thought she couldn’t look any happier … she goes on vacation and looks even happier. Perhaps some of her new happiness has to do with the company she’s been keeping (and I ain’t referring to her family). After a quick pit stop in her hometown of Kentwood, LA at the start of the weekend, Britney Spears and her children Sean Preston and Jayden James (with touring entourage in tow) made their way to New Orleans for the final dress rehearsals for her first concert tour in 5 years, The Circus starring Britney Spears. A lot is riding on this new tour … a lot has happened in the past 5 years since Britney Spears was a touring live act. So many of her fans are eager to see her up on the stage again … but, so too are her detractors waiting for her to fall. Here are a few photos of our dear Britney, her sons and her father/conservator Jamie Spears as they rolled into town in their massive tour bus yesterday:

The elaborate costumes are packed. The 16 semis filled with magic props and big-top sets are on the road. When Britney Spears takes the stage at the New Orleans Arena on March 3 – the opening night of her Circus tour – the stakes will never be higher. After more than two years of personal drama, the tour will either make or break the professional comeback she began last fall. According to sources, Spears, 27, who left Friday for Louisiana, has been hard at work preparing for the show, which will feature her signature sexy dance moves, a stage filled with three circus rings, and magic tricks. “She’s pretty determined,” a friend tells PEOPLE. “She missed singing and performing and the freedom of that. It gives her an escape and it’s what she loves to do, so she’s definitely thankful to be doing that again.” Though the pop star seemed to be back in old Britney form when she sang “Womanizer” on Good Morning America in December, the concert will be her biggest performance since her disastrous, out-of-shape appearance at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards. “I’ve got to believe she’s ready and will do a professional show,” Gary Bongiovanni, editor-in-chief of the concert trade magazine Pollstar, says. “If she doesn’t, it’s over.” Spears’s last tour, in 2004, was canceled after the singer injured her knee during a video shoot. (She spent her newfound free time with then-boyfriend Kevin Federline; they were engaged that summer.) So far, the buzz for the upcoming 31-city outing is strong. “In general, the tickets have sold very well. Some shows are already sold out,” Bongiovanni says. “Obviously, it means there is significant fan interest in seeing her do her live show. That fact that she’s been off the scene for a while helps with the pent-up demand” …The pop star’s friend worries the tour may be too much for the singer to handle, but notes that “it’s what her team thought was best.” What will make the trip easier is that Federline is taking the couple’s kids on the road so they can keep up their regular visitation schedule with Mom. “Having the boys with her is going to make all the difference,” says a source. “They are the reason she can do this.”

Man, I can’t believe her tour kicks off tomorrow night. We are just hours away from hearing our first reports about this new tour. I’m so torn … I’m dying to see pics but I don’t want to be spoiled. I suspect I’ll take a peek at the professional photos that are taken during the first few songs but I’ll save the rest for when I see the show live myself. I also having a sneaking suspicion that I’ll read a lot of reviews that will most definitely spoil some of the surprises … I can’t help it. Any spoilery info that I post will be marked as such and will be hidden from those of you who wish to remain unspoiled.

I was fortunate enough to see her last tour, The Onyx Hotel Tour (along with her previous Dream Within A Dream, Oops! I Did It Again and (U Drive Me) Crazy tours), live in Detroit, MI before she suffered the fateful knee injury that prematurely ended the tour … and changed her life forever. To be honest, it seems longer than 5 years ago … but it was the very same year that Pink is the new Blog launched. So much has happened since 2004. I am SO pulling for her tour to be a huge success. I’m also trying to keep my expectations from flying into the stratosphere … I think it’s wise to just go in with an open mind and prepare to be wowed. She can deffo do it … I know she can. Yesterday we saw a few photos of Britney Spears spending some quiet, alonetime with her sons Sean Preson and Jayden James at their home in SoCal before they all packed their bags and boarded a plane for Kentwood, LA. Britney and her crew, including Papa Jamie Spears and her still assistant Brett Miller, arrived in Kentwood late yesterday afternoon where they were met by members of the Spears clan, including Mama Lynne Spears and big brother Bryan Spears … here are a few photos:

Britney Spears is on the road again. The singer flew from Los Angeles to McComb, Miss. on Friday in anticipation of kicking off her Circus tour on Tuesday, March 3 in New Orleans. Spears, 27, arrived in at the airport – about 15 miles from her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana – looking fit and pretty in a red top and black skirt. She was accompanied by an entourage of about a dozen people, including her two sons Preston, 3, and Jayden, 2, and her brother. The singer was met by her parents Lynne and Jamie Spears, who greeted Britney with a kiss on her forehead. According to a twitter posting on the singer’s Web site, she wrote that her status as of Friday afternoon was: “On my way to Kentwood … Five days left! So excited.” The tour is the last major step in Spears’s comeback, which she started last fall. “She looks great, she’s working out three or four hours a day,” a source close to the family tells PEOPLE. “Everybody’s pulling for her after all she’s been through.”

This pit stop is the last for Britney before she officially kicks off her tour The Circus starring Britney Spears in New Orleans, LA next Tuesday. I imagine that Brit Brit will be recharging her batteries at home with her family for the next few days as final preparations for her tour continue to unfold. It must be a terribly exciting time for Britney right now … she’s been away from the performance stage for quite some time now. I’m trying not to have too grand expectations about her new tour. While I’m sure it’ll be a fun spectacle, I’m not really going into seeing it with any sort of expectations. I know it’ll rock … I just hope she’s ready. It won’t be long until we find out just how ready she really is.
