On Wednesday we saw photos of our dear Britney Spears and her beau Jason Trawick making their way thru LAX Airport here in SoCal bound for a then unknown destination for Thanksgiving. According to Britney herself, she and Jason made their way to her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana to spend the holiday with her family and friends:

As some of you may recall, Britney spent her Thanksgiving last year down under in Australia because she was on the last leg of her world tour The Circus starring Britney Spears … this year, her day was more traditionally spent at home with her family. Pink reader Lauren pointed me in the direction of a few photos of Britney enjoying Thanksgiving yesterday with her family and friends at a relative’s home in Kentwood. The coverstory of this week’s issue of OK! magazine makes the bold claim that sisters Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears are planning a double wedding in order to marry their respective beaus Jason Trawick and Casey Aldridge … but as cute and completely ridiculous as this story is, it turns out NOT to be true:

It turn[s] out that Britney Spears and Jamie Lynn Spears are not planning a double wedding just like a swirling report has suggested recently. A source close to the “Toxic” singer [makes clear] that “there is no truth” to the rumor, while Jamie’s pal added the story was made up. The double wedding report was first run by OK! Magazine. The mag claimed both Britney and Jamie were excited about idea to “marry their boyfriends, Jason Trawick and Casey Aldridge, in a spectacular double wedding!” The mag further mentioned that Spears sisters would have their kids as “ring bearers and the flower girl” while they walked each other down the aisle. Meanwhile, Jason was reportedly thrilled about the joint-nuptials idea as well. A source said, “Jason said it would be bigger than a royal wedding.” “Britney’s eyes lit up… A Spears-girls double wedding would be a huge attention-getter,” the source further claimed. As for the guests listed for the ceremony, the mag revealed some big names including Oprah Winfrey, U.S. President Barack Obama and Lady GaGa.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I mean … c’mon. I must admit, there are quite a few tabloid magazine stories that have a hint of truth to them even if they are completely fabricated … but this ridiculous b.s. about a double Spears sister wedding is totally laughable. Once you get to the guestlist which reportedly includes Oprah, Obama and Gaga you *have* to know it’s complete fiction. As much as *I* would love the cheeky ridiculous of a double wedding as imagined by OK! magazine, I felt it was my duty to help clear up this outlandish rumor. Hahahahaha … it’s like, OK! wasn’t even trying to make this bologna sound believable. Ah well, better luck next time.

Back in February we learned that unmarried parents Jamie Lynn Spears and her babydaddy Casey Aldridge had broken up and that JL had found comfort in the company of an older man. Since that time, Jamie Lynn and Casey have been pretty much out of the spotlight with errant photos of the pair both together and apart showing up on Facebook. Today we get to see new photos of Casey-Lynn lookin’ very much reconciled as they along with daughter Maddie Briann hang out with JL‘s parents Lynne and Jamie Spears here in SoCal. It would appear that the break-up is off and that the couple have reunited again:

Last year, Jamie Lynn Spears’ relationship was in tatters amid allegations fiancée Casey Aldridge cheated on her with a neighbour. But now the pair, who have a daughter Maddie, are giving their romance a second chance. They were spotted on a family day out at Universal Citywalk in Los Angeles where they treated their 2-year-old to toys and sweet treats. The 19-year-old also took along her parents Lynne, 55, and Jamie, 58, for the family outing. Jamie Lynn, who had a brief relationship with businessman James Watson this year, and Casey, 20, are ‘are working on things between them,’ a source tells America’s People magazine. They recently attended a Lady Gaga concert together with along with Jamie Lynn’s famous sister Britney and her boyfriend, Jason Trawick.

To be honest, I’m glad to see that Jamie Lynn and Casey are back together … or, at the very least, are working on being together again. I think it was the best thing for the young couple to relocate to Kentwood, Lousiana so that they could try and raise their daughter together in relative peace. Whether it’s true or not that Casey cheated on JL or that JL hooked up with an older man after they split is irrelevant if the couple have decided to put the past behind them and move forward as a family. Raising a child is no easy task for anyone … let alone teenage children. At least it looks like they are being as responsible as possible when it comes to raising Maddie Brianne. We’ll have to wait and see if it lasts … but this is a good sign, I think. Do y’all think these two will live happily ever after?

It’s nice to see that JL has been spending so much time with her father … so much so that she decided to come back home to LA to spend more time with him and with big sister Britney Spears. The Spears clan has been hanging out a lot this week (tho, they’ve not been making a spectacle of it) which is great news. The family appears to be settling into a strange normalcy again … absent for many years now. It’s unclear how long JL and Maddie will be staying in SoCal but I hope they stick around for a while. I’d love to see Britney and JL out and about together :)

Last week we learned that Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge were dunzo after JL decided to start up a new relationship with a much older businessman named James Watson. Yesterday, at a Sonic Drive-In in Kentwood, Louisiana, Jamie Lynn was spotted with an older man alright … but it was not her reported new beau James. It turns out that JL was grabbing a bite to eat with her pappy Jamie Spears:

As I mentioned before, I’m happy to know that Jamie Lynn has come to her senses and moved on from her all-too-young baby daddy Casey Aldridge for an older, more mature man. I commend Casey-Lynn for giving it a try but clearly it didn’t work out and JL apparently decided that she and her baby needed more security than Casey could provide. It’s nice that Papa Spears flew out to spend some time with Jamie Lynn … he really seems to be there to take care of his daughters when they need him most. He basically saved Britney Spears‘s life (and most certainly saved her career). Now he’s there to help take care of his youngest child. Papa Spears to the rescue again!!

In the Feb. 15 issue of Star, on sale now, we report that the 18-year-old has moved on from Casey Aldridge — the father of her 19-month-old daughter, Maddie — and is dating 28-year-old James Watson, a well-to-do businessman, whom she met about a year ago. “They started dating last December,” a source tells Star. “I don’t think James cares at all about who she is; they really seem to like each other.” So who is Britney’s sister’s new man? James — who’s based in Hammond, La., about 35 miles south of the Spears family estate in Kentwood — owns a company called Advanced Multimedia Partners. “He installs communications equipment and high-definition TVs for large corporations,” the source says. “James enjoys making money — and enjoys spending it too.” Locals are hardly surprised that Jamie Lynn’s been stepping out with a new man — while Casey, 20, has been spending most of his time in his family hometown of Liberty, Miss. “Even when she was pregnant, she didn’t really see a future with him,” a friend tells Star. “She only gave the impression of staying with him so long because it looked better in the eyes of the public.”

Say, what?! If this is really true, that Jamie Lynn has hooked up with a grown man who makes money, then I say HALLELUJAH! I’m sure Casey is a nice kid but having babies out of wedlock while still in your teens doesn’t usually a fairytale make. You may recall that we heard of JL steppin’ out in public while wearing a wig disguise, mebbe she was trying to creep around with her new man and keep the news underwraps. I’m not sure I totally believe this news just yet … but it’s a hopeful sign that Jamie Lynn Spears is finally acting like an adult.

It has been many, many months since we’ve seen little sister and mother of one, Jamie Lynn Spears, here on the blog but she managed to surface long enough to be photographed for the pages of Star magazine. The pic is kinda old but it has just come to light and Star has the deets. JL met up with some friends to party at a bar with some friends on Xmas in Hammond, LA and donned a special wig for the occasion:

Britney isn’t the only Spears girl who likes to change up her look! Little sis Jamie Lynn rocked a long black wig as she partied with friends at Atlas Bar in Hammond, La., on Christmas Day. Despite her disguise, the 18-year-old’s cover was blown when she got carded at the door. “The bouncer told everyone who she was,” a fellow partier tells Star. But Jamie Lynn’s underage status didn’t ruin her time. “She had a friend who was over 21 buy her shots and drinks,” says the source. She and her group of girlfriends kept things chill, dancing together until 1:30 in the morning, with no Casey Aldridge in sight. Well, someone had to babysit 19-month-old daughter Maddie!

Whenever Britney dons the wig for partying, you can be fairly certain that she might be a little on the wacky side … one hopes that JL doesn’t have the same problem. To be honest, tho, she seems to really have settled nicely into quiet motherhood out in Louisiana these days. As I mentioned above, it’s been months since we’ve seen or heard from the young mother. As I understand it, she and babydaddy Casey Aldridge are still going strong and are happily caring for their daughter Maddie Briann. I guess it’s just fine if JL Spears wants to get her party on from time to time to blow off some steam. It’s just funny how the young actresses life turned out … now the most exciting thing to happen to her these days is a night out at the local bar with some friends. HMMM.

Yesterday we saw a batch of photos of almost the entirety of the Spears family enjoying some downtime together poolside in Miami, FL and today we get to see a few more pics of all that relaxin’ … but this time, it’s only the Spears ladies who are soaking up the sun. While the boys are off doing their thing elsewhere, Britney, Jamie Lynn, Maddie Briann and Lynne Spears are chillaxin’ by the pool:

Maddie Briann doesn’t get to spend much time with aunt Brit Brit so I’m sure she appreciates this time together. With all the touring that’s been going on this year, Britney hasn’t really had much time to hang with her family as much as she’d prolly like to. Sure, she’ll meet up with them along the way as the tour carries on but it’s not the same as everyday contact. It’s really encouraging to know that Britney‘s handlers are making sure to keep her connected with her family as much as possible as she works her ass off on tour. Our dear Britney still has many more US dates ahead of her and then she jets off to Australia for some shows there … the end of the road isn’t really in sight for her just yet … which is why I’m sure she is really enjoying this little vacy with her family in Miami.
