Can I get a Woot! Woot!? Today we get to feast our eyes on TWO new promo pics from the 2010 film Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time which stars Jake Gyllenhaal in his first starring role since his amazing performance in Brokeback Mountain. As y’all should be well aware, Jake stars as Prince Dastan … the swarthy and mostly shirtless hero of the Prince of Persia video game series. Previously, we’ve seen the first official promo photo from the film along with the first movie posters. But today, we get to check out even newer promo pics of Prince Dastan and his on-screen love interest Tamina (played by Gemma Arterton) lookin’ wet, wild and HAWT!

It isn’t just us mere mortals getting soggy this rainy Monday morning, as these new shots from Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time prove. Getting a little bit carried away trying to cool down in the arid Middle Eastern sun, our Prince Dastan, played by the brooding Jake Gyllenhaal, along with the sultry Princess Tamina (Gemma Arterton) are shown here drenched from head to foot, and then escaping on horseback still soaking wet … Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time, also stars Sir Ben Kingsley doing his best Evil Sultan as the coniving Nizam, as well as Toby ‘Dead Man’s Shoes’ Kebbel and Alfred ‘Doc Ock’ Molina. The film is due on our decidedly unsunny shores on May 28 2010.

Yummo!! Can I just say as much as I’m not too keen on waiting until May 2010 to see Jakey poo in action on the big screen in this movie, I am very much looking forward to all the promo materials that will be released between now and then. Jake Gyllenhaal wet? Oh hell yes, please and thank you. I wonder in what other states of undress we will see Jake as Prince Dastan next. I can hardly wait.

Jake Gyllenhaal was in the hiz at Dodger Stadium last night to root for the LA Dodgers in their game against the Cincinnati Reds. I understand that Jakey poo sat in the posh Dugout Club seats during the sold out 56,000 capacity Manny RamírezBobble-Head Night … behold:

And what a night it was for Manny Ramírez … homeboy hit a 6th inning grand slam home-run that put the Dodgers over the top and led to their 6-2 victory over Cincinnati:

Manny Ramirez hit a tie-breaking pinch-hit grand slam in the sixth inning on his bobblehead night Wednesday, sending the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 6-2 victory over Cincinnati, their 12th consecutive at home against the Reds. Ramirez was kept out of the starting lineup for precautionary reasons with a sore left hand after being hit by a pitch a night earlier. Fans at the sold-out game chanted “Manny! Manny!” as they saw him in the dugout putting on his batting helmet. Ramirez sent the first pitch from reliever Nick Masset into the “Mannywood” section of lower left field seats for his 21st career grand slam, giving Los Angeles a 6-2 lead and putting the crowd into a frenzy. Teammates shoved Ramirez onto the top step of the dugout, where he waved his cap to acknowledge a standing ovation for his 11th homer of the season and his first career pinch-hit homer. It was Ramirez’s first homer into the “Mannywood” section, which was resurrected after his 50-game suspension for violating baseball’s drug rules ended on July 3. Ramirez’s electrifying moment was the only souvenir for 6,000 fans who went home without a bobblehead, which were limited to the first 50,000.

Damn … what a fun night!! Not only were attendees of last night’s game able to enjoy Jake Gyllenhaal’s presense at the game but they also got to bear witness to a Manny grand slam! AND, 50,000 of them got to take home a bobble-head! FUN!! I need to get my ass back to Dodger Stadium very soon … you never know when another fun night like last night might take place.

Yesterday Entertainment Weekly magazine’s annual Comic-Con Issue gave us our first look of Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow in the new Iron Man 2 film and today they give us our latest look at Jake Gyllenhaal as Prince Dastan in his upcoming new film Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. As you may recall, Jakey poo stars in Prince of Persia which is based on the popular video game series of the same name. We got our first look of video of Jake as the sexy, beefy and shirtless Prince Dastan back in May … but today, EW brings us this new promo photo:

For Jake Gyllenhaal, playing Prince Dastan in Jerry Bruckheimer’s epic Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, due May 28, 2010, was a chance to get into some serious action. (Paparazzi photos of Gyllenhaal on-set have appeared previously, but this is the first official shot of him in character.) “I’m tired of taking myself so seriously,” says the actor, who found himself sword-fighting, climbing walls, and jumping off of buildings as part of the prince’s quest to find an enchanted dagger and turn back time. “It’s nice when a stuntman turns to you and is like, ‘Actors don’t normally do this.’”

Well, this may be the first “official” promo photo released for the film but last March we got our real first look at two very HAWT promo-like photos of Jake as the half-nekkid Dastan on the set of the film. Click HERE to see those photos again … they are deffo worth a second look ;) In any event, I’ll take it all … altho Prince of Persia won’t be released until next year, there is no reason we can’t get little teaser pics and footage in the months leading up to the film’s release. Here are a few photos of lovebirds Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon making their way out of the Hollywood Bowl here in LA last night after attending the Ray LaMontagne/Jenny Lewis concert. From the looks of Reese, it appears that she enjoyed quite a few drinkies at the show last night:

Tho, while it looked like Reese was having a blast, Jakey poo did NOT look like he was having a good time. It’s unclear exactly why he was so pissy but mebbe he wasn’t too keen on the photogs getting snaps of Reese while she was so inebriated. It looks like she had fun, tho … Jakey should lighten up … or mebbe he should have a drink himself.

Jake Gyllenhaal has joined his ladylove Reese Witherspoon in Washington DC (where she is currently in production of her new film How Do You Know?) this week and the couple were spotted on the streets of our nation’s capital looking like they dressed out of the same hamper:

As a world famous superstar, being seen in public wearing the same outfit as someone else is a definite no no. But Hollywood A-listers Jake Gyllenhaal, 28, and Reese Witherspoon, 33, didn’t seem to mind when they arrived at the gym in Washington wearing matching work-out kits today. Of course the happily dating twosome may well have planned to co-ordinate their gym gear of blue shorts and cap, grey t-shirt and trainers. Smiling and laughing, they walked hand-in-hand through the streets after their work-out.

To which I have to give a resounding ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

These days it’s pretty rare to see Jakey poo out with anyone other than his ladylove Reese Witherspoon but he managed to wrestle himself away from her presence in order to spend time fraternizing with his sister and her husband for an afternoon. It looks like a very nice and relaxing afternoon with family … and hey, any photos of Jake sans Reese are winners in my book :)
