The Men's Issue
First Look: Michael Fassbender Covers ‘Interview’ Magazine

Hot actor Michael Fassbender — who starred last year in X-Men: First Class, can be seen in theaters right now (in ALL his glory) in Shame and will be seen in the upcoming Ridley Scott film Prometheus later this year — is featured on the cover of the new issue of Interview magazine. Fassbender is the coverstar of the magazine’s Men’s Issue … which, I assume, is devoted to all things male … or something like that. As a new fan of Fassy, I have to say that I wholeheartedly approve of any magazine that chooses to feature him on their cover.

"I don't like stuff that's too contrived"
Rihanna Does ‘Interview’ Magazine

A very colorful Rihanna is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Interview magazine. Altho the official Interview website has yet to be updated with the Ri Ri feature, today we get our first look at her beautiful coverphoto and accompanying photospread:

Rihanna‘s coverstory interview was conducted by Kanye West who, IMHO, isn’t a great interviewer. He talks way too much about himself when he should be focusing on the person he is interviewing (click HERE to see scans of Rihanna‘s Interview interview with Kanye). Thankfully, the photos are all about Rihanna … and she looks fantastic. Check out a few photos from her spread, after the jump …

Don't call him Ryan Reynolds
Ryan Gosling Does ‘Interview’ Magazine

Canadian hottie Ryan Gosling is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Interview magazine and in his coverstory interview, Gosling explains how he often gets mistaken for another Canadian hottie … Ryan Reynolds. Elsewhere in the interview, Gosling opens up about his time on The Mickey Mouse Club and explains how even as a young man he was the object of many older womens’ affection. Here is our first look at Ryan‘s Interview coverphoto and some excerpts from the accompanying interview:

If you ever run into Ryan Gosling on the street, try not to confuse him with Ryan Reynolds … “I get that a lot,” the Notebook actor tells funnyman Steve Carell in the November issue of Interview magazine about getting mistaken for Scarlett Johansson’s hubby. “I do think it’s because we’re both Canadian.” He continues, “I can’t tell you how many times people go, ‘Are you Ryan?’ And I go, ‘Yeah.’ And they say, ‘Can I get a picture?’ Then they take the picture and realize, in that moment, that I’m not Ryan Reynolds. I can see the disappointment in their faces.” Gosling also reveals that when he starred in Disney’s The Mickey Mouse Club alongside Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, he would sneak off to Disney World’s Pleasure Island entertainment district. “It was geared toward an older crowd,” he says. “I remember there was one guy who I became friends with. He would sneak us in and we would go to a club there called 8Trax and dance with the secretaries, who were grinding on us. Now, that sounds completely inappropriate. I can’t imagine how it was possible.” Now about those hot bicep-baring pics in the magazine, Gosling warns Carell, “I should let you know before we get into this that the pictures which will be accompanying this interview are basically of me in tight, wet T-shirts and tiny leather jackets going around in the rain and pretending that I’m a lot cooler than I am.”

Yeah, I can understand how folks can confuse Ryan Gosling with Ryan Reynolds … they’re both hot and they’re both recognizable … I’m sure it’s easy to get them confused in person, especially in all of the excitement over meeting such men in person. That being said, *I* would never be able to get the two men mixed up … because I love them each so much, for such different reasons. Wanna see two reasons why I love Ryan Gosling so much? Check out a couple photos from Gosling‘s Interview magazine photospread, after the jump …

The surest form of flattery
Marilyn Manson Shows His Love For ‘Eastbound & Down’

Marilyn Manson is such a big fan of the dark HBO comedy Eastbound & Down that he took off all of his gothy make-up so that he could pose as the show’s protagonist Kenny Powers in the new issue of Interview magazine … and wouldn’t you know it, the skinny rocker makes a pretty good chubby dude … behold:

While visiting the set of HBO’s Eastbound & Down this summer in Puerto Rico, I learned from co-directors Jody Hill and David Gordon Green that two of the series’ most diehard fans just happened to be icons of hard rock. Hill was thrilled to find out recently that Jack White can’t wait for the second season. And the other? Green let out a chuckle of disbelief. “Yeah, Marilyn Manson, he’s fucking obsessed with the show. He goes so far as to dress up like Kenny.” I found it impossible to conjure a visual of Manson, dark prince of androgyny, fashioned like Eastbound’s Kenny Powers, the overweight enfant terrible of major league baseball and Southern hostility that’s made Danny McBride a comedy icon. I requested evidence from director Adam Bhala Lough … Lough produced this exclusive photo, and offered an eye witness account. “Whenever I see Manson, he’s repeating entire chunks of dialogue and dressed like Kenny,” says Lough. “He just walks around dressed like this and fucks with people on the street. If a waiter or valet tells him, ‘Have a nice day,” he’ll respond, ‘Don’t tell me what to do.’ Stuff like that. He’s even dressed like this when I’m at his house watching Béatrice Dalle films and Hoarders.” I ask Lough what Green thinks of the method role-playing … “I think David’s actually frightened for Danny. Because Manson wants to kidnap Danny on some King of Comedy shit. Danny should be scared.”

LOL! See, even famous rockers can be psycho fans of other celebs … obsession is not relegated to tween Twihards. It’s no surprise that Marilyn Manson likes to play dress-up, after all, he’s made an entire career out of doing just that … it’s just funny to see him play dress-up in reverse. Who knew that a guy who got famous from dressing like a freak could get off by dressing like a putz? Any Eastbound & Down fans out there? Are you impressed with MM‘s tribute?

"I'm actually a very shy person"
Blake Lively Does ‘Interview’ Magazine

Gossip Girl and Green Lantern star Blake Lively is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Interview magazine. In her coverstory interview, Blake opens up about her shyness and how she managed to overcome it to become a successful actress. Here is Blake‘s Interview coverphoto and some excerpts from her coverstory interview:

Confident. Poised. Stylish. Glamorous. These are the kinds of words typically used to describe Blake Lively. Not shy. But in fact, it’s true. The Gossip Girl star says she is naturally shy, and it was acting that forced her out of her comfort zone, giving her the confidence – or at least, the illusion of confidence – that’s so critical for someone living in the public eye. “I’m actually a very shy person – that’s a big secret, so don’t tell,” Lively, 23, reveals in a chat with Ben Affleck in September’s Interview magazine. “But being in [acting] classes pushed me to break out of that a little bit. It’s like nature versus nurture: I’m naturally very shy, but I was brought up in a way where I had to get up and get out of that.” Affleck directed and stars with Lively in the upcoming heist thriller The Town. In the Interview piece, he remarks on how comfortable she seemed on set, even while filming a sex scene with him on the very first day of shooting.

This excerpt of Blake‘s interview with Interview continues behind the cut … where you can also check out a few photos from Blake‘s jailhouse/surveillance video-themed photospread shot by Craig Mcdean. Check ‘em out, after the jump …

"My hair and my accent are sort of my main assets."
‘Twilight’s Xavier Samuel Does ‘Interview’ Magazine

Xavier Samuel, the Aussie actor who is about to break into the world of Twilight adoration as the newest hottie vamp on the block in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (due out in theaters on June 30), is featured in the new issue of Interview magazine. Samuel was interviewed by his Eclipse co-star (and fictional vampire maker) Bryce Dallas Howard (who plays vampire Victoria) and is lookin’ pretty good in this accompanying photospread … behold:

BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD: So now that you’re almost on the other side with Eclipse, how has everything been for you? It’s all been a little wild, right?
XAVIER SAMUEL: Yeah, it has. It’s kind of like being struck by lightning in a way, because it all seems so improbable.

HOWARD: Eclipse is your first American film.
SAMUEL: It is. I’ve been doing American auditions for a while, and it always felt sort of like sending these audition tapes off into the ether. So just hearing anything back from anyone was kind of startling.

HOWARD: When we were shooting Eclipse, it was amazing for me to see how the girls all went berserk over you. These girls were totally losing their minds—and much like everyone else in the cast who experiences those sorts of things, you dealt with it really graciously and wonderfully. Were you at all startled by that?
SAMUEL: I mean, it’s kind of bizarre, isn’t it? Having that kind of attention. I’m not under the microscope in the same fashion that a lot of the other cast members are, so I think I can slide under the radar a little bit more, but getting any attention at all is completely new for me.

HOWARD: Well, it’s been interesting to see how these young women have responded to you and your hair and your accent.
SAMUEL: My hair and my accent are sort of my main assets.

For those of you still interested in what the lad has to say about, well, whatever … you can read the rest of his Interview interview HERE. I, on the other hand, plan to just focus on these photos … despite all the clothing, they are much more interesting to me than the banal back and forth with BDH.

"I have sort of aided the media in printing ... misconceptions"
Megan Fox Does ‘Interview’ Magazine

Actress Megan Fox, who will NOT be featured in the just-announced Transformers 3, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Interview magazine. Altho the magazine’s site has not yet been updated, we get our first look at Megan in Interview magazine (lookin’ pretty damn cool, IMHO) courtesy of fansite Megan-Fox.net … behold:

Who said she was nuts? Megan Fox has revealed her thoughtful, sensitive side in Interview magazine’s latest issue, in which the star chats with, of all people, “The Hangover” funnyman Zach Galifianakis about the pressures of fame and how much her bad-girl image is a result of her own attempts at misdirection. The result is a surprisingly thoughtful portrait of a woman who has been pegged as, alternately, a brat, a lunatic or an ingrate throughout the years by the media. For example, Fox gives a reasonable explanation for her dislike for the paparazzi. “I don’t really resent being on the red carpet as much as I do having to deal with the paparazzi,” she says. “The photographers on the red carpet, that’s their job.” It’s a surprisingly levelheaded comment from someone who’d gone from the love interest in “Transformers 3″ to the villain of the production. Last month, Fox was dumped from Michael Bay’s film before shooting started. Nobody can seem to settle on an official reason (Bay says she’s too skinny; Fox says she quit voluntarily; most people think she was straight-up fired), but the second it was announced (Fox was replaced by Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley), everyone’s minds flashed back to an interview where Fox compared Bay as a director to dictators like Hitler and Napoleon. A mistake, she says, that doesn’t indicate her real demeanor. “In the past, I’ve been reluctant to share any bits of truth about myself or to really let people in on my reality,” Fox told Galifianakis. “So I have said some things to throw people off the scent of what’s really going on in my life. So I have sort of aided the media in printing these misconceptions, which I regret.” In any case, Fox won’t have to contend with the “Transformers” circus any longer. She’ll be appearing in this month’s “Jonah Hex” alongside Josh Brolin, and after that, it’s “Passion Play” with Mickey Rourke and Bill Murray. Her projects after that are unclear, although IMDB has her listed as rumored to play a mermaid in “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” the fourth entry in Disney’s massively lucrative franchise. So just remember: If she releases a statement saying Johnny Depp is like Kim Jong Il on set, she doesn’t really mean it, people.

The interview I could really do without … but the photos, now those are worth checking out. As you can see from this stylish cover, Megan is rockin’ a seriously cool wig for her Interview magazine photospread. Check out a couple more photos after the jump …

Watch: Madonna On The Set Of Her ‘Interview’ Photoshoot

Yesterday we got our first AND second look at Madonna on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Interview magazine and today we get to check out a short behind-the-scenes video that was shot on the set of her Interview photoshoot with Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott … here are a few screencaps:

As I said yesterday, this photoshoot has to be one of Madonna‘s best shoots in recent years … she looks utterly fantastic. This vid clip features Maddy‘s song Revolver which was remixed by David Guetta. Check it out in full, after the jump …
