Mama Lynne Spears ain’t the only person releasing a new book that is seeking to try and capitalize on the Britney Spears craze (or should I say, the once-crazed Britney Spears) … In Touch Weekly has the inside scoop on a new “tell-all” book titled Stalking Britney: Britney Under Siege which was written by an author/journalist named Ian Halperin who followed Britney undercover for 18-months as a photographer. HMMM. I wonder what Mama Lynne, who was snapped making her way out of STK restaurant in LA last night with an entourage of her own, thinks about this new book:

Looking healthier and acting more rationally than she has in years, Britney Spears seems well on the road to recovery, but a new book Stalking Britney: Britney Under Siege by author Ian Halperin cautions that the 26-year-old may not be out of the woods yet. “She’s on a high right now, but her life goes in circles,” investigative journalist Ian Halperin says in an interview with In Touch. “It’s like a roller coaster ride. She’s a person who is highly sensitive, and just one little thing could set her off.” In his explosive upcoming tell-all book, Stalking Britney: Britney Under Siege, the New York Times bestselling author explores the secret pain that he alleges drove Britney to attempt suicide four times following her split from ex-husband Kevin Federline. Halperin researched this sensational book during 18 months undercover as a photographer. The pressures of her career — which began at 12 as one of the youngest cast members on The New Mickey Mouse Club — led to her deep insecurities. “At 15, she had a huge breakdown and had to return home to Louisiana,” he reveals. “She was very insecure and felt like she wasn’t pretty.” But rather than get help, Britney focused on her outward appearance: “She went on a huge diet.” Today, Britney is on medication, but Halperin believes she’s far from recovered. “There’s no doubt, based on the last two years, that she is a highly unstable person,” he observes. “She’s on a temporary high right now, but she’s never really dealt with all the problems she had. I don’t think it’s possible to turn over a new leaf just like that.” Yet as far as Halperin is concerned, Britney deserves to get better — and to lead a happy life. She’s a “good mother, and a good person,” he says. “In fact, she’s nicer than most of the stars I’ve met. But as Britney once told me herself, her life has always been two steps forward, followed by one step back.”

In Touch Weekly magazine is reporting that Gwen Stefani is going to give birth today. The mag reports that she was spotted making her way into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (where her first child Kingston James was born in 2006) and is planning to deliver by way of c-section this morning. Here is a pic of Gwen making her way into the hospital for a check-up last week:

It’s D-Day — as in Delivery Day — for Gwen Stefani! The singer checked into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and is scheduled to give birth via C-section at 10 a.m. PT. This will be the second child for Gwen, 38, and her husband Gavin Rossdale—and it’s in the same hospital where she gave birth to son Kingston, 2. “Gwen’s so excited to have this baby because she gained a lot of weight during this pregnancy,” her pal reveals to In Touch. “She is ready to meet her new baby and get her body back.”

The 10AM delivery time seems awfully specific but I suppose it’s totally feasible … even if she doesn’t give birth right at 10AM there is still a good chance that she’ll deliver sometime today — she seems way overdue to me. And, let’s not forget, that In Touch Weekly was the first magazine to report that Angelina Jolie gave birth to her twins on July 12th … which gives their report a bit more credence, I think. I just hope it’s true … Gwen needs to have that baby (those babies?) already. Watching her baby bump get so big is wearing me out ;)

UPDATE: Pink reader AJ gives me the head’s up that there is a strong possibility that Gwen did, indeed, give birth today but that she checked into the hospital last night … I guess at this point, all we have to do is wait for confirmation.

So … remember those rumors a while back that claimed that Casey Aldridge was creepin’ around on a very pregs Jamie Lynn Spears right around the time that a bunch of photos came out showing the boy lookin’ awfully cozy with a girl other than JL? Yeah, well a woman named Kelli Dawson has finally come forward to talk to In Touch Weekly magazine about how she was involved in an illicit affair with Casey while JL was pregs. Cue the shocked faces … here is her tale:

For months, rumors have circulated that Casey Aldridge has cheated on Jamie Lynn — but no one has come forward to confirm them, until now. In an exclusive interview with In Touch, 28-year-old Kelli Dawson reveals that she and Casey, 19, were romantically involved — and were still sleeping together when Jamie Lynn, now 17, was six months pregnant with his child. No fleeting hookup, Casey and Kelli’s relationship was both real and lasting — and it grew in intensity, even as Jamie Lynn announced she was pregnant. And, Kelli says, they still meet up on a regular basis. “I see him all the time, at least once a week,” she shares. The pair first met in November 2006, at the home of her sister, Kim Toller. At the time, Casey was already dating Jamie Lynn, but the sexual chemistry between Casey and Kelli was instant. “We were both really attracted to each other,” Kelli reveals. “He totally instigated it and pursued me. His friends would tell me that he liked me, that he thought I was pretty.” The couple saw each other a few times and “kissed randomly,” but it wasn’t really “hot and heavy,” Kelli admits, until the spring of 2007. Though Casey and Jamie Lynn were still involved, Kelli insists, “You never knew if they were broken up or not, because it changed from day to day!” The pair didn’t bother to hide their relationship. “Kelli and Casey have been a couple on and off for a few years,” confirms Jason Alexander, Britney Spears’ first husband and a native of nearby Kentwood, LA. “They were a really tight couple, but I think it was hard for Kelli, having Jamie Lynn in the picture.” Kelli says she and Casey stopped sleeping together a few months before Jamie Lynn gave birth to their daughter, Maddie. “It just didn’t feel right,” she explains. “He had to deal with the baby coming, and it had to stop.” She says the last time the couple had sex together was in March but “even after we stopped having sex, we would still kiss occasionally.”

Um, wow. Well, at least this Kelli girl was lucky that Casey didn’t get her pregs because we all know that Mr. Aldridge isn’t a firm believer in practicing safe sex. This story is so … sad. I mean, I had my suspicions about Casey and his creepin’ ways (especially after THESE pictures to light) and now that this chick has flat out admitted that she and Casey were still having sex “a few months before Jamie Lynn gave birth”, well, it all seems fairly believable to me. The pics are hard to deny … tho, it is impossible to know exactly when they were taken (it’s also difficult to tell for sure if Kelli and the girl in the pics are the same person). I’m sure none of this is anything that Jamie Lynn wants to hear about the father of her newborn baby girl. Oh, and I love how Jason Alexander (the guy who Britney Spears was married to for .5 secs) was available to offer his $0.02 on a matter that has absolutely nothing to do with him at all. Lord, you just know he sits by the phone praying that someone, anyone, will call. See, this is really what happens when children start having sex and having babies before they’re ready … they get mixed up in scenarios like this that aren’t really conducive to a stable family life. Here we go again … In Touch Weekly is reporting that Angelina Jolie gave birth to twin girls at 6pm local time in Nice, France today:

Sources at the La Fondation Lenval hospital in Nice, France, have revealed exclusively to In Touch that Angelina Jolie has given birth to her twins. According to insiders, the 33-year-old had a cesarean today at 6pm French time and delivered two girls. The first baby was born at 6:45 pm and the other at 7pm. The babies are in good health, another insider says. Sources say Brad was present during the birth. When contacted by In Touch, the hospital’s spokesperson, Nadine Bauer, said that journalists would not be notified ”within minutes” after the birth and that the only way they would be told was by a press release posted on the hospital Web site. Another insider adds that Angelina is expected to leave the hospital with her newborns within 48 hours. Angelina checked into the seafront hospital earlier this month in anticipation of the twins arrival.

If true, this is amazing news — it would mean that Brangelina‘s twin babies and I will share the same birthday!!! Of course, this report must be taken with a grain of salt, we’ve already been thru one erroneous report of the Brangelina twins. More deets if and when they become available …

In Touch Weekly has scrounged up a photo of the young girl who was allegedly fathered by Michael Lohan (a claim made by the girl’s mother Kristi Kaufmann) despite his claims that he is not the father. Well, actually Daddy Lohan confessed that he may have fathered the girl and even went so far as to take a DNA test … but now he’s backtracking, telling In Touch “I don’t know how I could be [the girls father].” Here’s a pic of Ashley Kaufmann, the possible Lohan lovechild, and a few deets about the whole sordid affair:

Lindsay Lohan is still reeling from the news that she may have a 13-year-old half sister, which she learned from her mother, Dina. “To say Lindsay is shocked is putting it mildly,” says a pal, of Michael Lohan’s June 27 stunning admission that he had a relationship with another woman during a brief separation from Lindsay’s mom that may have resulted in a pregnancy. The girl’s mother, Kristi Kaufmann, tells In Touch that Ashley “has Lindsay’s freckles. She even has that scratchy Lindsay voice.” Kristi adds that Ashley knows all about her famous sibling. “Michael told Ashley that Lindsay was her sister many years ago. Ashley said, ‘Wow, I’d love to meet her. What teenage girl wouldn’t like to meet Lindsay?’” Michael, however, denies Kristi’s claims that he’s the father. “I don’t know how I could be,” he tells In Touch. “The math doesn’t add up.” Still, Lindsay, 22, isn’t averse to getting to know Ashley, either. “Lindsay said, ‘She could be my flesh and blood,’” says her pal,”‘but I’m not doing anything until I’m certain she’s my sister.’” Meanwhile, the day after her ex-husband’s shocking announcement, Dina was at Hamptons hotspot Lily Pond for the V1 Jets screening of Living Lohan. “She was putting on a brave face,” says a friend. “She feels it’s the ultimate betrayal.” “If Lindsay wants to know her sister, she’s more than welcome,” says Kristi. “I’ve never met Ashley,” says Michael. “If I am found to be the father, obviously I will step up to the plate and do the right thing.

Daddy Lohan talked to E! News about the timeline of his affair with Kristi Kaufmann:

On Friday, the 48-year-old Lohan patriarch acknowledged having sexual relations on two occasions with Kristi Kauffman, a woman he met in Houston in the mid-’90s. He said he initially believed Kauffman’s claims that her daughter, Ashley, was his, but now Lohan says the math doesn’t make sense. “We were together in July of ’94. I think it was just before The Parent Trap came out because that’s when Dina and I were separated,” he tells E! News. “[Kristi] left me and went to Houston, Texas, and she met a guy she lived with there for a year.” According to his time line, Lohan says, Ashley, now 13, was born in June 1995—a difference of 11 months—which is why he ran out to get this test done right away. “She had me so convinced. She had me snowballed,” he says, adding that he even communicated with the girl he believed was Lindsay’s secret sis by telephone, even helping her with her homework. “Here I was sitting in jail going through a divorce, felt like I had no hope and then someone sends me a letter and says I have a baby. And I thought maybe this is what I’m supposed to do next,” he says. The results of the paternity test will be ready in 10-12 days and should settle the matter, he says.

Yeesh … as if Michael Lohan couldn’t get any more skeevier he has to go and get embroiled in a mess like this. And I’m sorry but I simply cannot feel sorry for Michael Lohan, no matter what he has to say about anything. Personally, I think it would be best for Lindsay to stay as far away from this mess as possible until the whole thing gets sorted out. I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if Daddy Lohan turns out to be this poor girl’s father … nor would I be surprised if the whole thing turns out to be a scam for publicity and attention on the mother’s part. I guess we’ll know who’s tellin’ lies in about 10-12 days time.

At long last we finally have photographic proof that Angelina Jolie is still pregs and has not given birth to the twin babies that she is expected to bring forth into the world in August. As you may recall, Entertainment Tonight erroneously reported (by way of a fake source) that Angelina gave birth to her babies a few weeks ago. Despite the fact that Brangelina reps officially denied the report was true, ET remained steadfast in their conviction that their story was true … maintaining that since Angelina has not been photographed since their report came out their report still has validity. Today, In Touch magazine provides photographic proof that Angelina Jolie is still very much pregnant. Here are new photos of Angelina snapped on June 22 on the veranda (some may call it a lainai) of the new Brangelina manse in the South of France:

There has been speculation in the world media that Angelina Jolie already had her babies, but just four days ago on June 22nd, In Touch Weekly’s photographer got a rare shot of Angelina still heavily pregnant, taking a break from bed rest. These photos capture the actress hanging out with children Shiloh and Zahara outside Chateau Miraval the home she, Brad and the kids are staying at in the South of France. While her official due date is in August, insiders tell In Touch that she will deliver around July 15.

And there you have it. I *knew* that ET didn’t have a leg to stand on as their bogus story fell apart all around them (once news of the fake Angelina assistant started going around, I was sure their story was totally wrong) but they maintained their story was true based on the fact that no photos exist of Angelina still pregs since their report came out. At this point, they’ll prolly maintain that either these photos were not taken on the date claimed by In Touch or that Angelina is still faking it (by wearing a fake baby bump, a la Katie Holmes) to make people think she’s still pregs.
