B also announces the release of a new single
First Look: Beyoncé For Deréon & House Of Deréon Fall/Winter 10-11

Megastar Beyoncé may have taken off the last few months or so from handling her biz to do a bit of restin’ and relaxin’ but she is back — hard at work — and featured in the new Fall/Winter 2010-2011 ad campaigns for her clothing lines House of Deréon and the edgier Deréon. Here are a few lovely photos of B in some new ads for House of Deréon:

In January Beyoncé announced that she was taking a well deserved break from showbusiness. ‘It’s definitely time to take a break, to recharge my batteries,’ she said at the time. ‘I’d like to take about six months and not go into the studio. I need to just live life, to be inspired by things again.’ But this week she has re-emerged on the scene with a bang, announcing the release of her new single Why Don’t You Love Me on August 29th, and starring in the new advertising campaign for her Dereon fall fashion line. The singer is almost unrecognisable in a platinum wig and covered in stick-on tattoos. She has described the new campaign as ’1960s pin-up girl meets futuristic biker chick.’ Beyoncé appears to have embraced one of the top trends of 2010: body art. First seen in the Spring Summer 2010 Chanel ready-to-wear show, temporary tattoos have been a hit with celebrities over summer. But in true Beyoncé style, she has taken it to the next level with customised artwork covering her legs, arms and back. The tattoos include chains, spiders, wings, skulls and what appears to be a spine that runs the length of her back. Dereon’s Fall line includes some dramatic studded leggings, lace biker shorts, fierce shoulders and high-waisted hot pants. The campaign was photographed by Tony Duran and styled by Beyoncé and mother Tina Knowles.

Beyoncé Channels Her Inner Spy For A New International House Of Deréon Commercial

A new commercial for Beyoncé‘s fashion line Deréon by Beyoncé (which stems from her larger fashion house House of Deréon) has hit the airwaves in Brazil and in the new ad, B is channeling her inner cat burglar/spy … here are a few screencaps from this new video commercial:

She’s known for her vocal acrobatics and booty-shaking dance moves. But Beyonce gets the chance to show off her gymnastics skills as she cartwheels and flips over laser beams in a new advertising campaign. The 28-year-old plays a sexy jewel thief in the new Brazilian TV ad for her Dereon by Beyonce fashion line, which sells exclusively in C&A department stores. Beyonce shows just how form-fitting and flexible the clothes are as her little black dress clings perfectly to her curves during her daring stunts. As you would expect, the soundtrack to the ad is Beyonce’s 2009 hit Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It). The ad appears to be inspired by a scene from 1999 film Entrapment, which stars Catherine Zeta-Jones as an insurance investigator posing as a thief in a bid to catch Sean Connery’s professional criminal. House of Dereon was launched by the Knowles family in 2006 as a pret-a-porter fashion line, and followed soon after by the Dereon line, for younger women. The gowns range in price from $300-$500 and are on sale in U.S. department stores, including Bloomingdale’s, Neuman Marcus and Nordstrom. Dereon was the maiden name of Beyonce’s grandmother Agnèz Deréon, whose married name Agnèz Beyincé inspired the singer’s first name. The collection is sold with the tagline ‘Couture. Kick. Soul’ as it represents the spirits of three generations of Knowles women.

Er … while I think this is a cool idea for a commercial, I have to admit that using Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It) in the ad seems dumb. The song has nothing to do with what is going on in the commercial nor does it have anything to do with Deréon fashion. I guess the song was used mainly because of its popularity and not because it is relevant to the ad campaign at all. Meh, I’m sure it’ll do its job and help Beyoncé sell some clothes. After the jump, check out the commercial and judge for yourselves …

Beyoncé Releases New Promo Images For ‘House of Deréon: Dresses’

Ms. Beyoncé Knowles is featured in a new set of promo images for a new line of dresses created by her fashion design house called House of Dereon and, if I may be so bold, I gotta say … homegirl is lookin’ FIERCELY amazing:

Granted, the flying photos are a bit cheeseball but you cannot deny that Beyoncé looks good, y’all. I love the first photo … she looks beautiful. While I cannot take her House of Deréon nonsense very seriously, I can appreciate that B does know how to market her brand. Beautiful pics. Yes?

Because, really, couldn't we all use another collection of Dereon?
Beyoncé Launches House Of Dereon: ‘Cadillac Records’ Collection

Beyoncé and her mama Tina Knowles were on hand this week in NYC to do an in-store appearance at Bloomingdale’s department store for the official launch of a new collection of House of Dereon fashions inspired by B‘s new movie Cadillac Records (a biopic of sorts where Beyoncé portrays jazz/soul singer Etta James). Here are a few pics of B and T at this week’s in-store appearance:

I don’t actually know of anyone who has ever purchased and/or worn an article of clothing from House of Dereon (Beyoncé‘s “high end” fashion line) but it must be doing well if they are able to produce specialized collections like this. I’m always dubiously wary of celebrity branded clothing lines (because, really, if you’re going to spend money on expensive clothes, why not spend that money on actual designer labels?) but I can understand how some folks might want to shell out clothes “designed” by their fave stars. I believe Jennifer Lopez‘s fashion line sells well … as does P. Diddy‘s Sean John line. In any event, the House of Dereon: Cadillac Records Collection is coming your way so interested parties should be on the look-out.

In other Beyoncé news, here are a few new promo pics of Ms. B from her upcoming I Am … Sasha Fierce album:

She sure looks a lot like regular ol’ Beyoncé in most of these pics … only the ferosh pic in the middle looks anything like Sasha Fierce. You gotta admit … Beyoncé is everywhere these days. The girl knows how to work. Is anyone else buying any of this?
