Late last month we learned that newlyweds Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt risked life and limb and ventured South of the border into Mexico at the height of the swine flu pandemic in order to do a little honeymoonin’ but also to shoot the music video for Heidi‘s new single titled Blackout. The couple only stayed in Mexico for a very short time before cutting their losses and returning to the relative safety of the US … but not before they were able to film enough footage to make Heidi‘s music video. Here is our first look at the fruits of their labor:

Much like the other music videos that Speidi have collaborated on (Heidi in front of the camera, Spencer behind), this video has that homemade feel that makes all of Heidi‘s music videos look … sparse (tho, in her defense, the video she had made for her song Overdosin’ did have a bit more production value to it … not that that helped much). Newlyweds Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have only been married for 2 weeks but the new bride is already hiding her face in shame … HMMM. Speidi made their exit from a SoCal eatery this weekend and Heidi was snapped uncharacteristically covering up her face so that she couldn’t be photographed. Could she be having second thoughts about becoming Mrs. Spencer Pratt?

There aren’t many things that Heidi Montag does that really surprises me (the least of which is the rumor that she may be interested in posing for Playboy magazine) but shying away from being photographed in public? Yeah, that’s some extremely strange behavior, y’all. Mebbe poor Heidi was hiding a heinous blemish or something cuz I’m really having a hard time believing that she was actually trying to avoid being photographed. I suppose it’s in the realm of possibility that the newly married couple have turned over a new leaf and are henceforth planning on keeping a low profile out of the public eye in an effort to live their lives in private … right? Why do YOU think Heidi is suddenly so shy?

Never a pair to shy away from causing a scene, newlyweds Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt (who were married in a legal ceremony for the MTV cameras in Pasadena, CA last weekend) were forced to cut short their honeymoon to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for fear of the spreading swine flu or H1N1 virus that is plaguing the country there. Making their grand arrival at LAX Airport while wearing surgical masks last night, Speidi made sure to pose for the cameras as they made their way thru the sea of paparazzi:

Only Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt would think to turn the threat of a flu pandemic into a publicity-seeking photo opportunity. The stars of The Hills, who will really stop at nothing to get attention from the paparazzi, put on a ridiculous display of affection as they touched down at Los Angeles airport yesterday. The pair kissed each other – through surgical masks – the moment they clapped eyes on a waiting pack of photographers. They had just flown in from a brief honeymoon in swine flu-hit Mexico, where Heidi also recorded a music video for her single Sex Ed. Heidi wrote on Twitter that she was ‘so sad to leave Mexico,’ but ‘ready to get out of pig flu country!’ Spencer told radio host Ryan Seacrest earlier this week that they were “definitely wearing face masks everywhere”. He added: “I’m not playing – I’m not trying to get pig flu. We’re in isolation, we’re in full hiding.” Well, not exactly. They did enjoy a beach stroll especially for the paparazzi.

Uh, yeah, THESE photos show that the couple were not in hiding and were happy to take thier little show to the beaches of Cabo San Lucas for a little more publicity. Did I ever occur to anyone that Mexico just decided to expel them back to the US to keep the infestation to a minimum? Just a guess. In any event, Speidi did managed to pull their masks down far enough so that they could exchange some of their own germs between them:

Heidi Montag, who officially and legally became Mrs. Pratt this past Saturday afternoon when she finally married long-time beau Spencer Pratt, is reportedly considering posing for Playboy magazine … and, according to Life & Style magazine, her new hubby is encouraging her to do so. Is there nothing that this couple won’t do for a little publicity?

Besides being Mrs. Pratt, Heidi may have another new role in the works: Playboy Playmate! Life & Style can exclusively reveal that Heidi’s in negotiations to pose for magazine. “She wants to do it,” the insider confirms. “It’s just a matter of working out the details.” The insider tells Life & Style that Spencer is encouraging her to do it and is working on negotiating a $500,000 deal for his wife.

While I can’t say that I’m particularly surprised at this report, it doesn’t really jibe with Heidi‘s overt Christianity. Every day the girl tweets about Jesus and/or the Bible … I cannot imagine that posing nude in Playboy magazine is really sanctioned by the church. Then again, Speidi really know how to capitalize on an opportunity and if Heidi could score the cover of Playboy magazine and pocket a half million, I bet the couple would go for it. Welp … they finally did it. Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt were finally legally wed in a lavish ceremony in Pasdena, CA yesterday afternoon after a couple of mis-starts for the couple (who, as you may recall, attempted to get married previously but never followed thru legally). Taped for the season (series?) finale of The Hills, Speidi said I Do in front of a select group of family and friends at the Westminster Presbyterian Church:

Heidi Montag is officially Mrs. Spencer Pratt. The Hills stars got married in an early evening ceremony at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, Calif., on Saturday, PEOPLE has confirmed. Montag, 22, and Pratt, 25, exchanged vows before about 200 guests, including Audrina Patridge, Kristin Cavallari, Brody Jenner and Frankie Delgado. The bride wore jewels from Neil Lane, including a pear-shaped diamond floral necklace with multiple diamond chains layered over it, diamond earrings and diamond hairpins, which she picked out the day before the nuptials. Pratt borrowed a pair of diamond cufflinks from the jeweler for the big day.

Early Saturday, the couple arrived at the church in a white Rolls Royce Phantom. Before the ceremony, an airplane flew overhead and wrote “Spencer loves Heidi” in the sky. Pratt, looking dapper in a black suit, smiled and signed autographs for fans outside the church. Meanwhile, Montag posted multiple updates on Twitter throughout the day. “This is going to be the best day of my life,” she wrote at one point. “Thank you God for Spencer.” She also described her wedding dress as “amazing – like a swan princess.”

After making multiple statements that she would not be attending the wedding, Lauren LC Conrad ended up attending the nuptials after all … opting to make a small cameo (most likely for the cameras) before making a hasty exit before the ceremony was over. Today is supposedly the BIG DAY that The Hills reality TV couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt get hitched. We learned a few weeks ago that April 25th (today) was chosen as the day that they say I Do (again but, supposedly, for real this time) and we learned last week that the couple actually filed for a marriage license here in SoCal in preparation. MTV even gave the city of Pasadena, CA the head’s up that a “wedding-like event” will take place in their fair city this afternoon … and last night, Speidi showed up at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel for their reported wedding rehearsal dinner … behold:

Spencer Pratt showed up with his very best friend and possible Best Man … the video camera on his shoulder. Heidi Montag showed up with a bright pink Juicy shopping bag … perhaps her wedding dress was hidden inside? After a week of rumor and conjecture about their nuptials today, both Heidi and MTV have been hinting on Twitter that perhaps no wedding will actually take place today. It’s possible that they were merely throwing out red herrings in order to “confuse” people or, I suppose, it’s entirely possible that everyone is gearing up for another wedding that won’t happen. Today’s the day … and while we may get paparazzi photos of the happy event later on today (despite the couple’s best efforts to keep the paps away) … we won’t know for sure if the couple were actually legally wed until the show airs on MTV in a few weeks — or if TMZ snoops out the filed, legalized marriage license. I guess we shall see. In any event, I suppose Congrats are in order for the happy couple … you know, just in case.

As y’all should know by now, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are planning to be wed for real in a ceremony that will take place in Pasdena, CA tomorrow afternoon and they are in the final stages of their wedding plans. Those final stages include doing everything they can to keep the paparazzi away from their wedding at all costs … which strikes me as extremely odd considering how much the couple revels in any and all attention that they generate. TMZ got their hands on a flyer that was distributed in the Pasadena neighborhood where their nuptials are set to take place that seeks aid from the community to help keep the paps from crashing their wedding:

This is rich. Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are getting married tomorrow, and they are deeply concerned about safety — so they are trying to keep the paparazzi at bay. Of course, we’re not buyin’ what they’re sellin’. We got our hands on a flyer sent around the Pasadena neighborhood where they will be tying the knot. The flyer asks residents to sign a petition, allowing the Heidi and Spencer crew to shut down some of the streets and sidewalks for “an untitled reality TV project” — otherwise called the wedding. BTW — the person who is listed as the line producer produces “The Hills.” Why so misleading, Speidi? Now here’s the best part: They want No Parking signs on a strategic street “to discourage paparazzi from parking and hiding out in their cars” — they say for safety reasons. Excuse us, but isn’t this the couple that courts hordes of paparazzi to follow them on every street in Hollywood? Could it be they want to restrict paparazzi because it’s more lucrative for them if the pappers don’t get the shot? We are such cynics. And the final sweet touch — in making the request to the neighbors, they say they will be filming “interior and exterior dialogue” at the church. For normal people, those are called wedding vows.

LMAO! This is hilarious … I would imagine that Speidi would want as much media attention surrounding their wedding ceremony as possible … the more the merrier. But, it seems, that they are really interested this time in keeping as much control over the media access as possible. Just because the flyer (which you can read in full HERE) has been distributed asking for these things, it doesn’t mean that they’ll get them. I suspect, try as they might, paparazzi photos of their wedding will get out.

But, their wedding isn’t the only think occupying their minds this weekend … NBC is announcing the cast of the upcoming season of I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! and are going to announce that both Heidi and Spencer have been cast. Disgraced former governor Rod Blagojevich desperately tried to get on the show but, alas, it wasn’t meant to be … tho he was able to weasel his way on the NBC set yesterday to pose for a photo with Speidi (who were bizzy doing promo for the show). We are only 2 days away from the wedded union of the first couple of MTV‘s The Hills, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, and In Touch Weekly is reporting that Spencer has already gifted his ladylove with $250,000 in jewelry as a wedding gift. By the sound of how much dough homie is dishing out for his wife-to-be, the couple may actually be planning to really get married after all:

HMMM … that’s a lot of bling. Coupled with the fact that Speidi did apply for a legal marriage license already, methinks the nuptials set for Saturday afternoon will be the real deal. I’m pretty sure that the pair are planning a lavish to do for the event … which we will all get to see on the season/series(?) finale of The Hills in a few weeks. Speidi were a no-show at the PaleyFest panel of The Hills which was held in Hollywood, CA last night because they were reportedly too bizzy tending to this weekend’s big event. But at least one publication isn’t buying that this latest wedding will be the real deal. In Touch Weekly is reporting that this weekend’s Speidi wedding will be another fake one merely to drum up ratings for The Hills:

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt betrayed their fans when they staged a fake wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in November. Now they’re doing it again — but this time, they’re filming the new phony ceremony for the series finale of The Hills. “It’s all set up by the producers of MTV to get people to watch,” says a source. “It’s just a plot line. They’re not really getting married, of course.” The over-the-top wedding will take place on April 25 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, Calif., on a closed set with the entire Hills cast in attendance. Though Heidi and Spencer’s nemesis Lauren Conrad will not be in the wedding, In Touch can confirm exclusively that she will make an appearance. “They want Lauren to do something dramatic,” the source says.

Altho the couple have cried wolf before, I tend to believe that they are serious about getting married this time around. I think they know that another fake wedding would prolly not go over well with the fans that they still have. It also makes sense that they would reserve their real wedding for the series finale of the show that made them stars. That way, they would steal the thunder and the show would end on their note and not anyone else’s. Speidi absolutely belong together … they are the perfect compliment to one another. I really think it’s gonna happen this weekend, y’all … heaven help us all.

A week ago today we learned that Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt were planning to get hitched this month on Saturday April 25 … and it turns out that that report was at least half right. Speidi have taken the first important step of tying the knot … Wednesday afternoon, they went to the courthouse to obtain a marriage license. But, while the original report claimed that the couple would be saying I Do on April 25, it turns out that that date is incorrect … according to TMZ, the couple are actually planning to be wed tomorrow:

So now we know why Heidi and Spencer went to the Bev Hills Courthouse on Wednesday. They said they didn’t get a marriage license — pants on fire. We’ve learned that’s exactly what they did. It’s under seal, but it’s real. And they’re getting hitched on Saturday. All invited guests will receive 10 copies of Heidi’s latest single… this part we’re guessing, but it’s a safe bet.

So, yeah … despite the bullshizz they are trying to pass off on this season of MTV‘s The Hills (you know, the part about how the couple are teetering on the brink of breaking-up because Spencer has been canoodling with a bartender named Stacie behind Heidi‘s back and she ain’t gonna take it anymore?), in actual reality the couple are as happy together as they ever were and are planning to make their union official. While I contend that Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt are the perfect match for one another, they don’t hold a candle to how perfect Heidi and Spencer are for one another. These two absolutely deserve one another and I would bet lots of moolah that they will be together forever. Joined by their equal desire for infamy (which is fueled by their unity and is strongest when they are together), their marriage will withstand the test of time. Altho they ain’t quite hitched yet, I suppose early congrats are in order … right?
