Heroes star Hayden Panettiere was spotted picking up a few sweet treats from Yummy Cupcakes in Burbank, CA earlier today … I wonder if she’s got plans to share them with someone special? Mebbe her paramour Milo Ventimiglia?

HaLo haven’t really been seen out on the town together very much lately, I hope everything is OK. I realize that Hayden may be a bit preoccupied with her father’s legal woes but I hope that everything is cool with the Heroes lurvers. Incidentally, a few folks have asked if I am no longer a fan of the show since I no longer post recaps of Heroes on the blog. I am still very much a fan of the show and have been watching it since the season premiere but I just don’t have the time to do the recaps anymore. There is an awful lot going on the show this season, it’s very exciting and very cool … I’d hate to half-ass it, so I’m just watching and enjoying the show like everyone else. Last night’s ep was really freaking good … happy homemaker Sylar was prolly the scariest incarnation of him that I’ve ever seen ;) But I digress, to get back on point … here’s hoping that everything is still A-OK with Hayden and Milo … and here’s hoping that they are able to enjoy these delicious cupcakes together :)

Yesterday we saw the two campaign ads that Jessica Alba features in for the nonprofit organization Declare Yourself (which aims to get young people registered to vote), one of which showed Jessica wearing a Hannibal Lecter-like muzzle mask which was meant to illustrate the notion that “only you can silence yourself” by not registering to vote. Today we get to check out a short promo vid put out by Declare Yourself that carries on the “muzzle” theme and features not only Jessica but Heroes star Hayden Panettiere and 90210 star Tristan Wilds:

This vid is cheeky and far less threatening than the controversial poster artwork, I think. A few Pink readers commented that they were very turned off by the images in the Declare Yourself poster artwork … I’m curious to hear what folks think about this tongue-in-cheek vid.

Hayden Panettiere celebrated her 19th birthday on August 21st but she only got around to enjoying a proper birthday celebration this past Sunday. Hayden spent a lovely afternoon in the company of family, friends and her pooch at an impromptu pool party where she proudly donned a festive party hat:

It didn’t take long for Milo to return from his USO Tour of duty in the Middle East (where he visited with some of our brave troops overseas) and get right back to work. As much as I’m thoroughly enjoying the summer, I am anxious for the new Fall TV season to get underway … seeing new pics of my fave shows being filmed gets me antsy to watch new eps.

Last night the 2008 Teen Choice Awards infiltrated and took over the Gibson Amphitheater at Universal City in Hollywood, CA in order to honor the previous year’s stellar achievements in categories which include music, movies, sports and TV, as voted on by teens aged 13-19. As usual, all the hottest young stars came out for the event … here are a few of the folks who walked the red carpet last night:

The “It” Girls were in attendance as were the new kids on the block — members of the cast of 90210 made last night’s Teen Choice Awards their unofficial coming out party to hang with the cool kids. Earlier this week, we saw pics of Hayden Panettiere rockin’ a whole lotta silky-long, fake hair on the set of Heroes which I assumed was a hairweave … it now appears that Hayden was merely sportin’ a fancy wig, which she has since removed:

I gotta say, I’m so over all the fake hair weaves all over the place these days in Hollywood (sorry, Britney). Hayden looks so much prettier with her shorter, natural hair. Ladies like Dina Lohan, Paris Hilton and (again, sorry) Britney Spears have just killed the hair weave look. I don’t mind naturally long hair (especially when it’s super-sexy like THIS) but obvs fake weaves are so passé. I’m glad that Hayden is keepin’ her wigs on set and is rockin’ her naturally shorter hair off set. She looks great! Let’s hear it for the real thing.

If ladies like Britney and Hayden keep it up with this crazy hair extensions love-affair they’ve got going on, they’re gonna keep Jessica Simpson‘s Hair’Do hair extensions company afloat for years to come … something tells me that Jessica‘s fake hair prolly sells better than Paris Hilton‘s fake hair. Whatever happened to natural hair growth?

Hayden Panettiere may have chopped off her hair recently but that doesn’t mean that she’s finished rockin’ the fake hair weaves to make it seem as if she still has long hair. Last week, Hayden showed up at the Kira Plastinina Launch Party in LA with a full head of long (fake) hair just days after she was showing off her shorter bob haircut … and now she’s back to rockin’ the short hair again, which she did proudly at the Flex Rally 2008 charity soiree in downtown LA over the weekend. Honestly, I like the shorter bob. I mean, she looks amazing with long hair but she also looks amazing with the bob — plus, it’s a different look for her. I like it. It’s prolly much easier for Hayden to wear wigs with her hair cut short … which brings us to our next set of photos …

HAYDEN PANETTIERE made no attempt to disguise her fondness for Heroes co-star MILO VENTIMIGLIA last night. The couple were spotted snuggling up at the Kira Plastinina US Launch Ace Gallery in Los Angeles. Milo may have to make the most of Hayden while he’s got the chance, as she’s reportedly about to embark on a new singing career. According to press reports from the States, Hayden will be a releasing her debut single, titled Wake Up Call, this August. With an album expected to follow hot on its heels, Hayden will have a busy few months ahead of her while carrying out promotional duties. Milo might just be hoping it’s a flop…

Absolutely not … Milo would never wish failure for Hayden just so he could spend more time with her. In fact, you can be assured that he would be her biggest cheerleader. I’m so glad that the couple are finally comfortable going out in public together … a love like this should never be hidden away but should be celebrated! Long live HaLo!!

Hayden Panettiere, who was spied lookin’ all cute and cozy with her paramour Milo Ventimiglia backstage on the set of Heroes last week, was spotted out and about over the weekend showing off a new hairdo:

I hope this haircut was authorized by the Heroes producers … not to mention her dude Milo ;) I’m not sure how I feel about it, to be honest, it looks a bit uneven in the back. Watch it turn out to be a janky wig or something … course, if it’s not a wig and it’s just a janky haircut, well, oops.
