It’s been quite a few months since actors and presumed lovebirds Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen have been seen together in public but this week, the couple managed to get in one more bit of public facetime together before the end of 2011. Rachel and Hayden were last spotted together back in April … so I guess it’s about time for them to be spotted in public together again. Hayden was so kind as to pick up Rachel from LAX airport this week … just like a good friend/boyfriend/fiancée/whatever should do.

Last August we learned that Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen, who had been engaged to be wed despite never ever being seen together in public, ended their relationship and called off their engagement. Then, last month, representatives for the couple decided to chirp up and deny that the couple had split and insisted that they were still very much together. In an attempt to fortify those claims, RayDen made their way to Barbados this week for a little vacay … and wouldn’t you know it … they were actually photographed in one another’s close proximity! They must be together then!!

Last August we learned that the nearly invisible couple made up of Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen decided to end their relationship … and then a few months later in November we heard that the couple had gotten back together … and then went back to being invisible. Today a representative for the couple is insisting that Rachel and Hayden are still together after a report came out this week that claimed that they had broken up again. Because I know this is press stopping news, I simply had to pass along the good news to all y’all.

It sounds like RayDen have finally decided to end their farce of a relationship and are, at last, dunzo!

Reports surfaced a couple months ago that the duo were on a break, but now the split is permanent. “Yes, the engagement is off,” Bilson’s rep tells PEOPLE, but declined to provide details on the breakup. Distance was reportedly one of the main reasons for the split. With Bilson primarily in L.A., and Christensen in Canada, “It just wasn’t working out,” says a pal of the actress. Now Bilson is “focusing on her career, spending time with her family and just moving forward,” adds the friend.

Oh yeah, I SO knew that this was how RayDen was gonna end up. Back in June, when the rumors started that the couple called off their engagement, I wrote about how CERTAIN I was that these two would NEVER get married. It may have taken a couple of months but I knew this official announcement would come. This couple never ever acted like an actual couple and once they got engaged, their weird behavior got even worse. The news of RayDen‘s duznoness should come as no surprise to anyone … that is, if any of y’all even remembered that this odd couple were even engaged to be wed in the first place. IMHO, Bilson should see if former flame Adam Brody is single and available … you know, I’m just sayin’.

Bilson, 28, flashed a ringless finger to Us on the red carpet of the Take No Prisoners event in L.A. Wednesday night. When asked how wedding plans were going, she said, “No, no plans” and pointed to her bare hand. “No nothing.” The source says the couple — who co-starred in 2008 action flick Jumper — are “taking about a month off” and will then revisit their relationship to decide if they should stay together. The break began about two weeks ago, the source adds.

Yeah … these two … they are not getting married. They’ve been so weird as a couple since they got secretly engaged, I never once believed they would actually make it down the aisle. The couple, RayDen as I love to call them, are never ever seen together. I mean, I’m all for privacy but … when you never see a high profile couple together, there has to be something wrong. The fact that Rachel is no longer wearing the ring seems like a pretty good indication that the wedding is off. It’s always sad when a couple breaks up or, should I say, goes on a “break” but considering how these two never really seemed like a genuine couple to me … it’s hard to feel the loss. They live!!! And, I believe, they are still betrothed to be wed!! Happily engageds Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen came out of hiding for their yearly outing this week in Vancouver, British Columbia where they are attending some of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games events. What a colorful pair they make, no?

As you may recall, we learned that RayDen got engaged to be wed in February of 2009 and then … they fell off the face of the planet. Rachel Bilson and her fiancée Hayden Christensen made a rare appearance in public this weekend as they made their way to a friend’s Xmas party in SoCal. Now, we don’t usually get to see either one of them out and about but one or the other will make themselves known. It’s a rare occurrence, indeed, when they are both seen out in public … together! Behold, the wondrous sight:

Aren’t they so cute? It was so nice of Rachel to let Hayden wear her sweater, too! We heard last February that the couple, RayDen, had gotten themselves engaged secretly the December before and I don’t know that we’ve actually seen them out and about in public together very much since. Sure, Rachel surfaced in July to show off her engagement bling (and to remind us that she still lives) but the couple have stayed well out of sight for most of their engagement. RayDen did show up at LAX Airport in October but, yeah, it’s been a quiet year for the betrothed. As private as they tend to be, I’m happy to see that they are still happily together. Here’s hoping they have themselves a Merry Xmas and a Happy Engagement Anniversary!!

Congratulations are in order for Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen … it is being reported today that the couple are engaged to be wed — and have been since December! The couple have kept the news quiet … until now. RayDen are gettin’ hitched, y’all:

Rachel Bilson and her longtime beau, Hayden Christensen, got engaged quietly over the holidays, PEOPLE has learned. According to a friend of the actress, the two, who costarred in 2008′s Jumper, got engaged in December. “They’re so excited,” says the pal, adding that no wedding date has been set. “They’re a great couple. Rachel seems thrilled beyond belief.” When contacted, Bilson’s rep told PEOPLE, “I don’t comment on my clients’ personal lives.” A rep for Christensen could not immediately be reached for comment. The engagement news was first reported by the New York Post’s Page Six.

According to Page Six, Rachel was spied wearing a huge engagement ring and when asked by a fellow passenger on a plane whether or not she was married confessed that she was merely engaged:

A Page Six spy spotted Bilson on a Virgin America flight from LA to JFK Monday night with her mom and tells us the actress is engaged to longtime beau Hayden Christensen. “A man sitting in front of her on the plane saw a ring on her finger and asked if she was married,” said our snitch, who overheard Bilson reply, “I’m not married yet, just engaged. I know I look like I’m 15, but I’m actually 27.”

Truth be told, I never really saw Rachel and Hayden sticking it out for the long run but I am very glad to see that they proved me wrong. Love should always be celebrated, well … almost always. While I STILL wish that Rachel was attached to her former boyfriend Adam Brody, I wish her and Hayden nothing but a lifetime of happiness together!!! Congrats!!

Woot! A new day has dawned here in America … and the World … and while there is still much to celebrate, there is also much work to get done in the aftermath. I’m pretty sure that some of these celebs were voting for President for the first time in their lives and it seems pretty safe to assume that the lion’s share of them added to President-elect Barack Obama‘s historic win.
