More Photos From The ‘Harry Potter’ Epilogue Have Surfaced

Yesterday we got our first look at Harry Potter actors Daniel Radcliff (Harry Potter) and Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) on the set of the upcoming new film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows wherein they were made-up to look aged 19 years. As you may recall, Deathly Hallows ends with an epilogue that takes place 19 years in the future which explains what becomes of our fave Harry Potter characters. Today, we get to see a few more photos from the Deathly Hallows set that show other characters in their aged incarnations. But, so as not to spoil the fun for those of you who wish to wait until the film comes out (next year), I’ll keep the photos behind the cut … and after this teaser poster for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows:

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” is currently filming the epilogue scene which is likely to be featured in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II”. After Daniel Radcliffe and Bonnie Wright were spotted on the set, their co-stars Rupert Grint and Tom Felton have also been pictured shooting the same part on Wednesday, May 26. During the production which took place at King Cross station in London, England, Grint and Felton sported make-up and outfit to portray the older version of their respective characters. Moreover, the depicter of Draco Malfoy was seen having a beard and longer lock. Pictures from the filming of “Deathly Hallows” epilogue scene which feature Grint and Felton are available at Harry Potter’s Page. “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” will follow Harry Potter and his two best friends who leave Hogwarts behind and set out to find and destroy the Horcruxes-the secret to Voldemort’s power and immortality. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson all return to reprise Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger respectively. This final chapter of the “Harry Potter” film series is made into two movies which both will get 3-D treatment. “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I” is due for November 19 release both in U.S. and U.K. while “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II” is scheduled for July 15, 2011 premiere.

If those of you who couldn’t resist looking at the photos posted yesterday were not impressed with the first photos then you prolly will not be very impressed this this new batch of photos. Check ‘em out after the jump …

Photos from the filming of the 'Deathly Hallows' epilogue hit the Internets
First Look: Harry Potter, 19 Years In The Future

New photos from the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows have made their way to the Internets that show how the characters Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley will look in the epilogue to the film, aged 19 years. As you may be well aware, the final Harry Potter book will be broken into 2 films (the first of these two films will be released in movie theaters this November) and the epilogue scene will be featured at the very end of the second film (which will be released next year?). Those of you who have read the Deathly Hallows book know how the story ends and should be well aware of what takes place in the epilogue … those of you who have not yet read Deathly Hallows may want to refrain from reading any further to remain unspoiled. First, read on for a refresher on what action takes place in the epilogue to Deathly Hallows and see the new photos that have been leaked from the set of the film:

Epilogue

Nineteen years later, Harry and Ginny Weasley are married and have three children: James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna. Ron married Hermione and has two children, Rose and Hugo. The families meet at King’s Cross station, where a nervous Albus is departing for his first year at Hogwarts. Harry’s godson, Teddy Lupin, is found kissing Victoire Weasley (Bill and Fleur’s daughter) in a train carriage. Harry sees Draco Malfoy and his wife Astoria Greengrass (revealed on Rowling’s website behind the door) with their son, Scorpius. Neville Longbottom is now a Hogwarts Herbology professor and remains friends with the two families. Harry comforts Albus, who is worried he will be sorted into Slytherin, and tells his son that one of his two namesakes, Severus Snape, was a Slytherin and the bravest man he had ever met. He adds that the Sorting Hat takes one’s choice into account, like it did for Harry. The book ends with these final words: “The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years. All was well.”

That was a short summation of what takes place in the epilogue to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. So … what will Harry and Ginny look like 19 years into the future? Find out, after the jump …

Just a tease
‘Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows’ Releases First Movie Trailer

When last we heard about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows here on the blog it was May and the principal stars were hard at work filming scenes for the new film in the fields of the United Kingdom. Today, many months after, we get our FIRST LOOK at the new teaser trailer for the film. Altho The Deathly Hallows won’t be released in theaters until November of 2010, it appears that the movie studio really wants to jumpstart the promo campaign this holiday season. Here are a few screencaps from this new teaser trailer:

I understand that this early preview trailer is included on the DVD release of the most recent Harry Potter film The Half-Blood Prince which opened in theaters this past Summer and was just released for sale last Tuesday, December 8. After the jump, check out the teaser trailer for Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows (Part I) …

Filming Continues On The Set Of ‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows’

Yesterday we got our first look at Helena Bonham Carter in the role of Bellatrix Lestrange on the London set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows … and today we get to see a few more pics from the set. This time, we get to see principal stars Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) and Emma Watson (Hermoine Granger) chillin’ on the set in between takes … and another photo of Bellatrix being her usual evil self:

There are other more spoilery photos but I don’t want to post too many pics this early in the filming. We’ve got plenty of time to see little teaser pics from the set. Deathly Hallows is going to be an epic film, I can just feel it. The book itself is too huge to be contained by just one movie. The film will prolly be the one Harry Potter movie that will contain almost all of the best bits from the book. Previously, the films had to cut content to fit in the time constraints. This 2 part film will have lots of time to do the final Harry Potter book justice. But … while all of this Hallows talk is very exciting, we still have The Half-Blood Prince to look forward to this Summer. So much Harry Potter!! Woot!

Bellatrix ain't for kids
Something Lestrange Is Afoot On The Set Of ‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows’

Production has begun on the first part of the new film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in the UK this month and Helena Bonham Carter, who plays the wickedly evil Bellatrix Lestrange, was spotted on the set of the film in Pembrokeshire, Wales lookin’ about as fierce as can be … behold:

Bellatrix is deffo the HBIC in Voldermort‘s army of minions. She is absolutely one of my favorite characters. I cannot imagine anyone else playing the role of Bellatrix other than Helena Bonham Carter, mostly because Bellatrix at her most dastardly is pretty much what Helena looks like on a daily basis. She rules! I hope we get to see more from the set of Harry Potter as filming continues in the weeks to come.

Part I
‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows’ Begins Filming

Now that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is in the can, ready for release this July it’s about time that production got underway on the big screen adaptation of the 7th and final book in the Harry Potter series, The Deathly Hallows. Because the book is so epic is size and scope (at least for a kid’s book) and because the movie studio would like to get as many movies out of the series as possible, Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows will be broken up into two films — part I and part II — to be released over time. Here are a few photos of the three stars Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermoine Granger) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) on the London streets set of part I of the final film:

While it is very exciting that production is finally underway on the movie(s) version of the final HP book, it’s a bit sad that it’s all coming to an end again. When The Deathly Hallows was released in book form back in 2007, it was met with great enthusiasm as well as great sadness. The finality of the story was bittersweet to many (me included). The release of the special book The Tales of Beadle the Bard was a nice little Harry Potter treat to snack on last Xmas but now that the book series is finished there is nothing really to look forward to anymore. The HP movies, at least, provide that outlet of looking forward … but once these films are finished and released — that’s it. JK Rowling has hinted that she may return to the world of Harry Potter in some way again in the future but I’m not sure I’m ready to hold my breath just yet. As I mentioned before, I’m planning on rereading the entire series in the coming months in order to refresh my memory and get back into the world of Harry Potter again. I am anxious to see The Half-Blood Prince this Summer … and The Deathly Hallows thereafter. Now that production has begun on the Deathly movie(s) it won’t be very long until we’ll be talking about that film in the theaters, too.
