"When I am not shooting, my hair looks like a Halloween wig."
Tina Fey Does ‘Harper’s Bazaar’ Magazine

TV’s favorite ultra-chic bespeckled “geek” Tina Fey is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine … lookin’ very ultra-chic and far from geeky. In her coverstory interview, Fey talks about things as varied as botox, motherhood and Sex and the City‘s Carrie Bradshaw. Here is Tina‘s fabulous coverphoto and some quotes from her coverstory interview:

On Botox: “You can point any kind of laser at my face, but I don’t think Botox is for me. I think it is bad,” she says. People with Botox “look like their faces are full of candles — a shiny, shiny face. Festive. A holiday candle.”

On her trademark specs: “I don’t wear them very much in real life because I need them to see only far away,” she says. “And I don’t wear them when I am dressed up, because then I would look like Tootsie.”

On why her 30 Rock alter-ego Liz Lemon would be BFF with Sex & the City’s Carrie Bradshaw: “Liz has little to no style and little to no sex drive,” she says. “Carrie would be very encouraging of Lemon and help her have more confidence.”

On her day-to-day schedule: “Work, come home, play, kid bounce, work again, go to bed.” Fey goes on to say she often writes 30 Rock on the way to the studio and is so overwhelmed that “sometimes I’ll be telling my husband [composer Jeff Richmond], ‘I think I’m cracking up.’”

On her vanities: “I have the camera frame me from the waist up,” she jokes. Really? “Sometimes. If there is a shot that is bad, I can take it out. That is why L.A. is so bad, because they can take your picture from any side. That is why people in L.A. maintain 360 degree fitness. I don’t have that kind of time.”

On her hair: “When I am not shooting, my hair looks like a Halloween wig.” She lapses into an impersonation of a hair stylist: “‘I hate to tell you this, but it’s because you are shooting all the time. You know those old actresses that are bald?’ And I shoot 200 days a year.”

Dude, Tina Fey is the coolest woman EVER!! I’m so happy that her show 30 Rock is doing so well critically because it deffo doesn’t have the ratings to ensure its survival. I’ve always been an Tina Fey fan but I think the whole world fell in love with her when she stepped into the persona of Sarah Palin during the ’08 presidential campaign. She really strikes me as such a down-to-Earth person … I bet she’s very easy to like in real life, too. And hello … she is a beautiful woman! After the jump, see just how beautiful she is in the other photos from her Harper’s Bazaar photospread …

"I've been doing okay. Work helps focus all of that energy ..."
Janet Jackson Does ‘Harper’s Bazaar’ Magazine

Janet Jackson is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine which features the worldwide exclusive first interview with Ms. Jackson since the death of her older brother Michael Jackson. Here is Janet‘s Harper’s Bazaar coverphoto along with excerpts from her coverstory interview:

Janet Jackson hasn’t watched television since her brother Michael died suddenly in Los Angeles on June 25. She has blocked herself off completely from the hysterical media coverage of his death — who did it, what did it. “It will drive you crazy,” she says. “People can have rhinoceros skin, but there’s a point when something’s going to hurt you. Not everyone is stone, stone. I haven’t watched the news in weeks. I had to ask my chef, How’s Obama doing? I haven’t read a newspaper. On top of that, [we've lost] a family member.” The last time Janet saw Michael was on May 14, two days before her 43rd birthday. It was a family celebration, the Jackson kids were running around, and she and her big brother hung out, ate Thai food, and tormented each other. “We had so much fun that day,” she says, her soft voice almost inaudible. “We kept calling each other after and saying how great it was.” Janet left soon after to start work on Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Too. She was on set in Atlanta when she got the call that Michael had died. She immediately returned to L.A., plunging headlong into a private family grief served up to a ravenous public. Of course, one of the most moving images from the memorial service was of Michael’s daughter, Paris, who stepped up to the microphone and said, “Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine” before grabbing her aunt Janet for support. “I was really proud,” Janet recalls. “People said to me that Michael’s daughter speaking really gave them a sense of how he was as a father, in her words. Paris is incredibly smart; they are all so smart. She’s a sweet girl. The kids are doing well. They’re with all their cousins; that family love will keep them going.” After the service, Janet and sisters La Toya and Rebbie went to speak to the fans. Janet, who said a brief and quiet thank-you, was greeted with thunderous applause. “I don’t remember that at all,” she says. “I really didn’t want to say anything. I left that night to go back to Atlanta to film.”

It’s no secret that Janet and Michael were very, very close so I can only imagine how difficult his death has been for her. I imagine the ensuing media frenzy that erupted in the wake of MJ‘s untimely and shocking death has made it difficult for her to grieve in private so it makes sense that she would want to plunge headlong into work to keep her head on straight. After the jump, read more from Janet‘s coverstory interview to find out how work helped her cope in the days after MJ‘s death and see a few photos from her Harper’s Bazaar photospread, including an alternate coverphoto …

Explains, "[The sex tape] is not real, so it makes me sort of sad"
Leighton Meester Does ‘Harper’s Bazaar’ Magazine

Back in June we learned that a new celebrity sex tape had hit the Internets that featured Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester and since then she has kept pretty quiet about the tape. But this month, Meester is featured on the cover and in the pages of Harper’s Bazaar magazine and she finally opens up about the embarrassing tape that has been making the rounds online for the past couple of months which, according to her, is “not real”. Here is Leighton‘s Harper’s cover and a portion of her coverstory interview:

Leighton Meester understands that being on a buzzed-about show automatically puts her in the spotlight – but she doesn’t have to like it. “I don’t want most of what comes along with all of this,” says the Gossip Girl star in the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar, on newsstands Aug. 18. One particular downside of fame is a rumored sex tape of the star with an ex-boyfriend that has allegedly been shopped around. “[The tape] is not real, so it makes me sort of sad,” says the actress. “It’s unfortunate that it got carried as far as it did.” Meester says the rumor has taught her some lessons about life. “I definitely understand the nature of people better now and that the mere allegation of something like that could be headline news. People think it’s real because somebody says it is.” But the star has friends who watch out for her. “I feel like my friends are in a cult because we’re like, ‘No outsiders!’ ” she says. “I’ve never been crazy. I’m a very good girl, to be honest. I don’t do anything to hurt anybody. Honestly, all I ever do is work.” At work, costar Ed Westwick is one person who can vouch for Meester’s sweetness – and her natural good looks. “The first thing I thought when I met Leighton was … hell, this girl’s gorgeous. And she was incredibly sweet.”

I’m confused … how exactly is the explicit tape “not real”? If she means that it was prolly not filmed for public viewing then she’s most likely correct but to say that the sex tape she made with her then boyfriend is “not real” isn’t really accurate. Whatever the case may be, Leighton strikes me as the kind of woman who learns from her mistakes and I highly doubt she’ll ever get messed up in a sex tape scandal like this again (unlike, say, Vanessa Hudgens, who clearly didn’t learn her lesson the first time nekkid pics of her made their way to the Internets). Moving on, after the jump, check out photos of Leighton from this new issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine where the mag (inexplicably) decided to age her in some of the photos …

Halle Berry Does ‘Harpers Bazaar’ Magazine

The beautiful Halle Berry is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine lookin’ about as purdy as she ever has before. In her coverstory interview, Halle does a bit of promo for her new fragrance while she tells the magazine how wonderful her life has been since the birth of her daughter Nahla Ariela. Here is Halle‘s Harper’s Bazaar magazine cover and a portion of her coverstory interview:

One doesn’t want to enter the Berry/Aubry residence in Los Angeles feeling less than fantastic. Because the image that greets you — by the pristine pool, past the vegetable garden, and under a blazing blue sky — could be detrimental to one’s self image. Halle, 42, and her partner, model Gabriel Aubry, who met on a Versace shoot in 2005, and baby Nahla are, to quote that great fashion sage Derek Zoolander, “really, really, really good-looking.” Gabriel, carrying Nahla, bids adieu, while Halle, relaxed in a long black jersey dress, retires to the art-filled pool house to talk

Laura Brown: Tell me how you keep your mojo.
Halle Berry: I have a 33-year-old man. That’ll keep your mojo mojo-in’.

LB: How has your body changed since you had Nahla?
HB: Having a baby takes so much from you. It’s the most glorious thing you’ll ever do, but the aftermath is not so glorious! So now I’m having to exercise, eat a little bit differently, take a lot more vitamins.

LB: Do you ever go on a food binge?
HB: I like Doritos. I’m usually watching The Biggest Loser eating Doritos.

LB: What do you think of actresses who say they don’t work at staying slinky?
HB: God bless them if they’re telling the truth. It’s questionable if they are. I always had to diet. I’m diabetic, so it’s a lifestyle for me anyway just to stay healthy and not end up in the hospital.

LB: What works for you fashionwise?
HB: I’m not the girl for superhigh fashion because I don’t have the right body. When I want to get dressed up, I’m a Roberto Cavalli girl. Also, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Calvin Klein …

LB: You once wrote that the only wardrobe you need for sex is a tank top and pumps. Do you still maintain that?
HB: Oh, yes. Any pumps! You just need length to your legs.

LB: Does having a fulfilling family life decrease your desire to work?
HB: I used to work a lot because I had nothing better to do. What I’ve learned, especially by having a baby, is that you can’t bring that stuff home anymore. For example, I was alone filming Monster’s Ball. I was married to someone else, and he wasn’t really around much. Thank God that was only a 20-day shoot.

LB: With your fragrance, Halle by Halle Berry, you are selling the essence of yourself. How will women respond?
HB: I think there’s a certain level of trust that I have with women. I’ve always been honest, even when I haven’t had good times in my life or my movie bombed or I’ve had great success. I’ve owned up to all of it. I’ve said, Hey, this is who I am; take me or leave me. I’m pretty simple and pretty natural. I’m not one of these people who wear a face full of makeup so I look like I have on a mask. What you see is what you get.

LB: How is this reflected in the scent?
HB: I wanted it to smell like fig and mimosa. Well, it’s not quite that simple! I thought, Oh, God, I have to add something else because the worst thing is when you put a fragrance on and an hour later it’s gone. So I had to then add other smells to try to give a well-rounded product.

LB: What’s your next project?
HB: There’s this movie called Nappily Ever After. It’s beautiful, funny, but has a deep message about women. Women slave for their hair! It’s all about how we compare ourselves to other women, how we size ourselves up. It’s a look at this one woman’s life, and she goes through this metamorphosis when she gets rid of her hair. Not only does she feel different, but people treat her differently. She’s now more like an alien than the hottest chick on the block. She’s got to reboot and discover who she really is.

LB: For the role, do you plan to shave your head on camera?
HB: Yes. I’m scared to death. I just hope my reaction fits into the story. If it’s uncontrollable screaming, it might be a different type of movie.

LB: What are your guilty pleasures?
HB: Very boring, but I buy baby clothes online. Nahla can’t wear all the clothes I’ve bought, and we don’t go anywhere because I can’t deal with the paparazzi. Gabriel’s always like, “She doesn’t even leave the house! Halle, you’ve got to stop.”

LB: Nahla is a beautiful girl — amazing, given her challenged parents.
HB: Let her be sweet because I believe beauty is as beauty does. My hope is that she is sweet and kind because no matter how beautiful you are, ugly ain’t cute.

LB: Would you ever get married again?
HB: No. I’m done. Also, I happened to find a person who feels done too, and he’s never even been married before. So it works.

LB: More children?
HB: Yes. My pregnancy was amazing. I was happy that whole time, I felt good, I had energy, I was like Superwoman. I wish I could feel like that for the rest of my life, that’s how fantastic it was.

LB: Last year was kind of super for women in Hollywood too.
HB: It really was. As a woman, when you embrace where you are in life, then I think the struggle isn’t so hard. If you’re 42 and still think you’re an ingenue, then you’ve got a problem.

LB: Whose style do you like?
HB: Eva Mendes. She’s beautiful, and she’s sexy and hot, and I love her.

Halle Berry is a beautiful woman both inside and out … it’s hard not to like her. She really does come across as a likable person, who is both talented and savvy. I still don’t get why she’s is so uninterested in marrying her hot man Gabriel Aubry but she appears to be loving her life and living it to the fullest. You have to respect that. After the jump, check out a few photos from Halle‘s Harper’s Bazaar photospread …

Reveals no plans for ScRyan babies
Scarlett Johansson Does ‘Harper’s Bazaar’ Magazine

Scarlett Johansson is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new Valentine’s Day-themed February issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine lookin’ like a $100 bucks! In her HB coverstory, Scarlett reveals that she and hubby Ryan Reynolds are not planning on spawning anytime soon, talks about her engagement and then goes on to talk about career nonsense. Here is her Harper’s Bazaar coverphoto and a portion of her coverstory interview:

Now that Scarlett Johansson is married, are kids next? Probably not. “I’m not pregnant, and I’m not going to be anytime soon,” The Spirit star, 24, tells February’s Harper’s Bazaar. She says she gets a kick out of baby rumors. “I got these calls that I was engaged way before it happened. I’ve also been pregnant several times,” she says. “With, like, sextuplets. That must mean I’ve been eating way too many bagels or something.” Johansson also opens up about her engagement to actor Ryan Reynolds, whom she wed last September. “I wasn’t surprised that it was happening, but anyone being presented with a beautiful diamond ring, as a girl, you just squeal with delight,” she says. “You say you can’t believe it, but of course, you really can.” Despite getting hitched, she says has no plans to put her career on hold. “Every actor wants to work on a Western,” she says of her dream role. “I would run a brothel, like a madam or something. I’m working with what I got. It’s only so long that people are going to want to see me in a corset. So I might as well do it now.”

Man, kids born of the spunk of Ryan Reynolds would be hella cute … I can’t even imagine. I would love for the hawt Canuck to start making babies but I don’t think I mind that the couple are planning to wait a while before they get started on procreating. All in due time, I suppose. After the jump, check out the rest of the photos from Scarlett‘s Harper’s Bazaar magazine spread …

Also really loves her leather
Vicki B. Does ‘Harpers Bazaar’ Magazine

Vicki B., who has been spending a bit of time in NYC after her recent quick trip to the UK, is back home in SoCal and is also featured on the cover of the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine wherein she talks about (among other things) how she turns into the character of “Victoria Beckham“. HMMM … its’ not quite as ridic as Beyoncé‘s Sasha Fierce nonsense but it sorta has the same stink, no? Here is VB‘s Bazaar mag cover and a portion of her coverstory interview:

Image is so important to Victoria Beckham that she has it down to a science. As for her lab, “It’s funny,” she tells January’s Harper’s Bazaar, on sale Dec. 16, “I go to the gym now.” Once there, “I run four miles a day,” says the “very disciplined” mom of three boys: Brooklyn, 9; Romeo, 6; and Cruz, 3. Then, “I go into hair and makeup, and I turn into ‘Victoria Beckham.’ ” As for what that entails, “I’ll try on all my dresses, and I’ll pick out a handbag, and I’ll put on the shades. I instantly turn into this person, and it sort of feels like a character. And there are so many pictures of it … But it’s a true character because it’s still me.” Most pictures parade her patented pout – dubbed her “Blue Steel” look – though she admits to lightening up: “I have started smiling … I’ve mastered this smirk; it’s a smile that isn’t a smile.” But what hasn’t disappeared are her trademark high heels, though some have deemed them as impractical. “Oh, c’mon,” she insists, “they’re not that hard to walk in … They’re not uncomfortable! [But] you have to go to a sex shop to get this spray to polish them.” As for how she dresses when the paparazzi are not following her, Beckham, 34, says, “I run around the house in a tracksuit sometimes.” Outside the house – where she likes to take walks with her family – is another matter. “If I go to the supermarket looking like shit, that affects my work. I am selling an image. Plus, I have fun with it,” she says. “I tell you, the paparazzi would not be sitting outside if they realized I was the most boring person in Hollywood.”

LOL! Even tho I give the robotic-looking little sprite a bit of a hard time (all the time), I really do love her. VB is really fab and I don’t always make that very clear. Srsly … the “smile that isn’t a smile”?? Brills! Hahahaha! I love how she talks about going “to the supermarket” as if it were an everyday occurrence. That woman has NO NEED to ever set foot inside of a supermarket, period. After the jump, check out a few photos from VB‘s Harper’s Bazaar magazine spread and check out a few pics of her arrival back in LA …

"I think it's pretty obvious who I'm seeing"
Lindsay Lohan Openly Confirms Relationship With Samantha Ronson To ‘Harper’s Bazaar’ Magazine

Lindsay Lohan is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine for their Fabulous issue (you may recall that Angelina Jolie graces the cover of the British version of this month’s Harper’s Bazzar magazine for their Fabulous issue) and in the mag’s coverstory, Lindsay very openly and candidly discusses the positive changes that have happened in her life and ABSOLUTELY unequivocally confirms that she is seeing Samantha Ronson, much to her happiness. Here is Lindsay on the cover the HB and portions of her candid interview:

It’s a Saturday night in early October and Lindsay Lohan is sitting at the Chateau Marmont drinking a Shirley Temple. She is such a regular at the hotel that no one gives a second look when she comes racing in with a friend. Lindsay is wearing a black dress over a pair of her now-signature leggings, Yves Saint Laurent boots, several bracelets, two diamond rings on her right hand, and an open black Michael Jackson-like glove on her left. She looks a little more glamorous than usual — “The hostess said, ‘It’s so nice to see you dressed up,’” she says — and the faintly ironic beverage reveals that she’s no longer living la vida Lohan. The message is clear: Lindsay has actually started growing up. After close to five months in rehab in 2007, Lindsay, 22, is embracing maturity and recognizing she must take responsibility for her actions. “I was going to clubs all the time, and it was not okay. I was so alone. It made me not focus on what I was doing,” she says now. Of her life pre-Cirque Lodge and Promises, she observes, “I was living here [at the Chateau] for almost two years. Who blows that much money on a hotel?” She waves her arm around and says, “I could have bought a house!” But Lindsay admits candidly, “I did it to myself, and I have to deal with the consequences. I’m thankful for what I can take out of it. Now I feel clear. That’s my past, and I’m a different person now. I have goals and I’m working to achieve them. I’m not hanging out with people who are out every night getting fucked up. “And,” she adds sheepishly with a smile, “I think that I’m happy.” Her friend Jaime Zeluck, who works in the music business and has been silently checking her PDA, chimes in, “You’re the best I’ve seen you in a while.” Truth be told, the Lindsay Lohan we know and love hasn’t quite disappeared. She arrives more than an hour late. The reason for her tardiness: an oddly amusing story involving searching for Lindsay’s Escalade and “climbing a hill in YSLs.” (Lindsay doesn’t have a driver’s license at the moment.) Still, compared with past hijinks, this is Lohan lite. “I think at this point,” she offers, “[the media] is like, ‘Let her do what she’s going to do. We’ve seen her do enough.’” Lindsay’s response may explain the nonchalant attitude the press has taken toward her latest reported romance, an apparent stabilizing force. She refuses to name DJ Samantha Ronson, known for her boyish attire, skinny jeans, and porkpie hat, as the object of her affection, though she has alluded to their relationship on her MySpace blog.

BUT … for the first time, Lindsay does go on to VERY PLAINLY make clear that she and Sam are happily together. After the jump, read another portion of her Bazaar interview and see the photos from her photospread …

Despite photographic evidence to the contrary
Kirsten Dunst Claims She Doesn’t Know Justin Long

Kirsten Dunst is featured on the cover of the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine and in her coverstory interview she talks about the usual sorts of things that get asked of covermodels (the blah blah blah). I am most intrigued by her comments about a possible relationship with actor Justin Long (newly separated from Drew Barrymore). In her Harper’s interview Kirsten claims that she doesn’t know Justin despite the fact that the two have been photographed together, as recently as August 31. HMMM:

Kirsten Dunst says rumors she is romancing Justin Long “are the funniest thing on planet Earth.” “I don’t know him from Adam,” she says in the October issue of Harper’s Bazaar, per USA Today. The two have been photographed repeatedly over the summer. On August 29, Us Weekly reports, he invited her to his $2 million L.A. home. After a sleepover, they hit the Joe Purdy show at Saint Rocke in Hermosa Beach, Calif., and lunched a day later at the Chateau Marmont, where Long, 30, got them a room. Still, Dunst, 26, insists, “I met him once and he and his friend were kind enough to walk me home. I’ve never seen him since.” She adds that she is still looking for The One.

Uh huh. Here are pics of Kirsten and Justin, or Dunst-in as I like to call them, lunching and driving together on August 31:

Now, either A.) this Harper’s Bazzar interview took place before these most recent hook-ups or B.) Kirsten has no idea that we the people are already well aware of their creepin’ around together. I suppose it’s *possible* that the two are just friends … but it strikes me as being strange that she wouldn’t just say that. What’s the big secret? I think they make a cute couple … they should totally go for it! That is, you know, if they’re not going for it already.

Tyra Banks channels Michelle Obama for 'Harper's Bazaar'
America’s Next Faux First Lady

Tyra Banks graces the cover of the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine but it is the photos inside the mag that has everybody talking. In the coverstory photoshoot, Tyra channels Michelle Obama (posing with a Barack Obama lookalike) in various First Lady-like situations, behold:

Tyra Banks is sitting on the huge corner sofa in her office in New York, impressing on her interviewer the fierceness of Abigail Adams. Resisting the obvious choice of Jackie Kennedy (“although she was a fox”), it’s the second first lady who has Banks in awe. “I watched the John Adams series on HBO, and I was so taken by her that I Googled everything I could,” she explains, straightening the folds of her businesslike-but-bodacious Zara sundress. “She stood up for women. She was able to speak her mind about women’s issues with her man, and he actually, truly listened to her.” Today, though, it’s a rather more modern potential first lady who has Banks compelled. When it came to paying homage to Michelle Obama for this story, Banks found the process “surreal.” “It’s kind of embarrassing,” she confesses, “but in my early 20s, I used to want to be a princess. But I didn’t want to have to marry somebody in order to do it! Of course, I don’t see the position of first lady as a princess, where it’s something you have to marry into. With Barack Obama, his becoming president is them becoming president because Michelle was there from the beginning. Without Michelle, he wouldn’t be there.” Or, as she pronounces to her Tyra Banks Show camera after her Oval Office portrait, “Michelle Obama, you’re one hot mama.” A number of presidential candidates have appeared on Banks’s talk show (Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Edwards), and she’s after Michelle Obama to appear this fall. She has met her before, noting she was “so warm and so gracious. She’s got that direct-eye-contact, truly-connecting thing. She’s not a ‘ha, ha, ha’ type.” She smiles and continues, “And I love that she’s tall.”

Now this is a great photospread … it is a bit odd but it’s deffo gonna get people talking. I’m most interested in hearing what Michelle Obama thinks about this whole thing. To be honest, I would’ve been more intrigued had Tyra decided to portray First Lady Abigail Adams rather than Michelle Obama … and now you see why I am not a photo editor at a magazine. It’d be interesting to see if any fashion mags decide to do this same thing with the McCains … I think Paris Hilton would’ve made a great Cindy McCain … er, that is … if he hadn’t pissed off the entire Hilton clan by mocking her in his latest campaign ad. Since Paris is out, which celeb do you think would make a great Cindy McCain in a photoshoot like this?
