Earlier this morning I learned that Halle Berry was considering leaving the U.S. and seeking custody to take Nahla to France because she has been threatened by a mentally unstable stalker who said he wanted to slit her throat. Now, TMZ has revealed BREAKING NEWS that Robert Hoskins, Halle’s stalker (and the same guy that threatened Madonna years ago) has been apprehended by the police. Scary stuff!

A few weeks ago we heard that Halle Berry was in court seeking a restraining order against a stalker of hers. Then Halle was back in court because she was fighting her daughter, Nahla’s dad for custody, after she feared his temper with their nanny. Seems like Halle is involved in the court system all the time these days, but now TMZ has broken the story that she may be in serious danger and needs to leave the U.S.

We got to see some pics today of Halle Berry arriving at the L.A Superior Court this morning in a car… she is there to seek a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend and baby daddy, Gabriel Aurbey, from seeing their child, Nahla, until an investigation is finalized. The downside of being ridiculously famous and adored – having a stalker problem. Last week we reported that Kirsten Dunst was having issues with a crazed French stalker. This week we have heard that Halle Berry has been having issues with her own ‘fan’ who has been stalking her.

Earlier this week Trent uncovered the news that Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez were getting hitched…apparently a jeweler came out and told everyone of the RING. Now, the jeweler has retracted that statement. It seems people aren’t so sure if that engagement has happened YET.

Congratulations are in order for lovebirds Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez because today we learn that they are engaged to be wed! The happy news, by way of People magazine, originates from Halle‘s jeweler who spills the deets about the engagement ring that Olivier had designed for her. As you may recall, the initial news of Justin Timberlake‘s engagement to Jessica Biel came via their jeweler as well … so, apparently, jewelers are now the source for all new celebrity engagements.

Last Sunday, I posted a list of celebrity guests that was rumored for the final episodes of The Oprah Winfrey Show and last night, that list panned out completely. Altho more guests appeared on the Oprah Extravaganza than was reported, every person on that list was in attendance at the taping in Chicago, IL yesterday … and what an extravaganza it was. Oprah was paid tribute to by some of the world’s most famous people … so many celebs that the episode will be shown over 2 days (with the absolute final episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show featuring no guests at all … just Oprah and her audience). And so … the 83rd annual Academy Awards have been handed out, bringing to a close another long awards season. Despite efforts to make the Oscars telecast a “young and hip” affair, this year’s show — IMHO — ended up feeling “old and boring” as usual. BUT, there were some very well-deserved awards handed out last night, tho not many surprises. The biggest award went to The King’s Speech, a British film that ended up with 4 Oscars in total. Inception, which really hasn’t won any major awards all awards season long, tied The King’s Speech with 4 Oscars. The Social Network, once considered a front-runner for Best Picture, ended up with only 3 awards — but one of those Oscars went to my boy Trent Reznor and his collaborator Atticus Ross for Best Original Score. For me, this was an Oscars to remember … but only for Reznor‘s win and not much else.

The Simpsons are planning a BIG Oscar-themed episode this month and it will feature none other than Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry. Here is our first look at Halle in her Simpsons form.

In April of last year we learned the surprising news that Halle Berry and her model babydaddy Gabriel Aubry had broken up. I had assumed that the couple remained cordial after their split, especially since they were seen on multiple occasions hanging out together with their daughter Nahla Ariela. It turns out, tho, that the couple have not remained friendly … and, in fact, things have gotten very nasty as they begin to battle legally over custody of their daughter. Sources close to Halle have alleged that Gabriel verbally abused her, even resorting to calling her the “N” word in heated arguments.
