Aussie actor Chris Hemsworth, who stars as Thor the God of Thunder in the upcoming big screen adaptation of the Marvel Comics comic book series of the same name, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Australian GQ magazine. A couple of weeks ago, GQ magazine revealed its Men of the Year for 2010 list here in the US and today we learn that Australian GQ magazine has just unveiled their list. True Blood star Ryan Kwanten has been named the Aussie GQ Man of the Year and he graces the cover of the just released new issue:

Wil Anderson catches up with GQ Man of the Year Ryan Kwanten for a few beers (some drunk, one spilt) and Probes the brilliant mind behind the stunning pecs. For the past few years Kwanten’s been burning up the small screen as the hilarious Jason Stackhouse in True Blood, and in his spare time over the last year he’s managed to squeeze in three films – Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, Griff the Invisible, and Red Hill. And there’s plenty more to come. Kwanten shares everything with GQ from growing up in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, to breaking into Hollywood and his dislike of sleep. Despite his success Kwanten remains down-to-earth and is still excited by living and working in Hollywood – “Every time I drive down Santa Monica Boulevard, every time I see the Hollywood sign, I’ve been here eight years now and I still have that twinkle.”

Sam Worthington, star of James Cameron‘s hit film Avatar and of the upcoming remake version of Clash of the Titans, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the latest issue of Australian GQ magazine, which dubbed him Man of the Year. Here is Sam on the cover of Aussie GQ along with a short excerpt from the coverstory article:

He readily admits that he can name every journalist who’s ever bagged him and reads everything written about him on blogs, gossip sites and the movie website IMDb. He has plenty of people on his shit-list and regales me with the tale of a journalist who interviewed him about his role in Clash of the Titans. “You know what his fi rst question was? ‘Why did Perseus have a shaved head?’ and I said, ‘That’s a dumb question. You’ve got two more questions to ask me.’ So he said again, ‘Why did Perseus have a shaved head?’ so I said, ‘OK, interview over,’ and walked out.” Welcome to Worthington’s world. There’s no shit-taking or time-wasting on his watch. He’s so passionate, respectful, honest and smart about his work that he expects the same from those around him, no matter what job they have. Yeah, Worthington deffo strikes me as the kind of dude who doesn’t suffer fools gladly and does not put up with anyone’s bullshizz. This GQ excerpt just solidifies that belief.
