First we learned that Miley Cyrus, reportedly on the advice of her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, decided that she needed to quit Twitter and delete her official Twitter profile … Then we heard the impassioned plea from her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, begging her (as “a light in the world of darkness”) to reactivate her Twitter account to satisfy her legion of fans (ie. the kiddies who shell out their parents’ hard earned money for her CDs, DVDs, movie & concert tickets, etc.) and return to Twitter. Now, in her final act of defiance, Miss Miley posted a hastily put-together music video for a rap song titled Good-Bye Twitter in order to explain to her fans why she quit Twitter and why she won’t be coming back. OK, so she’s no threat to LL Cool J or Eminem or even T-Pain, but Miley Cyrus knows how to rap a little bit in a corny-cool old-school style and she knows how to milk a moment like nobody’s business. As we reported yesterday, Miley pulled the plug on her Twitter account and now she spills the deets to the beats. A sample:

“Yeah, you write what you’re doing but who really cares/If I’m playing with Noah or just doing my hair/Everything that I type and everything I do/All those lame gossip sites take it and they make it news.”

So what if she’s a Twitter quitter, we’re not bitter. Hey, are those backup dancers, or just her babysitters? Peace-out!

Ugh … this girl … well, I guess she’s just bein’ Miley. I do applaud her tactic … blasting the “lame blogs” by posting an even lamer rap video (with mis-synced vocals, really?) is surely the way to get your point across.
