Gisele Bündchen & Tom Brady Christen Baby Boy Benjamin Rein

Newlyishweds Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady got themselves all dolled up this week for the christening of their first born child together Benjamin Rein (who was born back in December of last year). As you may recall, it was in March that we first saw the happy Brady Bündch family all dolled up in their Sunday best for Gisele‘s sister’s wedding in Brazil … but this time, the fam is lookin’ all dressy for a more private family occasion here at home:

It is INSANE how quickly time flies … baby Benjamin was *just* born and now he’s already been christened?! I know it won’t belong ’til the little kid is walking, then driving, then taking over the world as the most beautiful human being to have ever existed! Where does the time go? Congrats to the happy fam on this very special occasion … and blessings for the precious baby boy.

Wow!
Gisele Bündchen Shows Off Her AMAZING Body In Hope Lingerie

Gisele Bündchen, who *just* gave birth to her son Benjamin Rein last December, is showing off her insanely SICK body in a new ad campaign for Hope lingerie. It’s photos like these that show why Gisele is arguably the best supermodel in the world:

Even when she was pregnant Gisele Bundchen managed to maintain her supreme figure, albeit with the addition of a rather large bump. So to see her back to the day job looking slender and on fine form is hardly a shock to any keen observer. The Brazilian model, 29, posed for a series of underwear shots in an advertising campaign for lingerie firm Hope – just five months after the birth of her son, Benjamin. And her immaculate frame appeared to have snapped right back into shape, with both her front and rear looking great. The model recently revealed that she had maintained a fitness regime throughout her pregnancy, but claims she hasn’t worked out since giving birth. She said: ‘I did kung fu up until two weeks before Benjamin was born, and yoga three days a week. ‘I think a lot of people get pregnant and decide they can turn into garbage disposals. I was mindful about what I ate, and I gained only 30 pounds.’ Gisele gave birth to her first child with husband Tom Brady in December.

I mean … wow. Gisele‘s body looks SICK. As a model, she is truly worth her weight in gold … almost literally. After the jump, check out a short promo video of Gisele modeling some lingerie from Hope

The Craft
Gisele Bündchen Takes Benjamin Rein To A Ceramics Shop

New mama Gisele Bundchen stepped out Thursday afternoon with her baby boy Benjamin Rein and her step son John Edward Thomas (not pictured) for a fun day of crafting at the Color Me Mine ceramics shop in Santa Monica, CA. Here are a couple supercute pics of Gisele with Benjamin, which give us our first really clear photo of the baby boy’s face:

As you can see, Benjamin is the spitting image of his mother! As if the kid weren’t lucky enough to be spawned of Gisele and Football hero Tom Brady, he also has his mother’s supermodel good looks. Lucky little tyke. Gisele‘s step son John Edward wasn’t photographed with her because she was fine to leave him elsewhere in the shop playing with broken pieces of ceramic … OK, I’m kidding about that but it’s not entirely in the realm of implausibility that Gisele *might* favor her son over her step son. I’m absolutely NOT saying that will be the case … I’m just saying it’s possible in a joking Mommie Dearest manner. In any event, it sounds like it was a fun outing for the Brady Bündch. I suspect Gisele wants to warm up the new mansion being built for her by her hubby Tom with crafty little ceramic do-dads painted by the family. See, even supermodels can appreciate shabby chic!

'American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity'
The 2010 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala

Last night celebs and fashionistas made their way to The Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC, NY to attend the annual Metropolitan Museum Of Art’s Costume Institute Ball which was themed American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity. This gala event is the opportunity for these famous folks to turn it out on the red carpet and show off their fanciest, most stylist looks. Here are a few photos from the red carpet arrivals last night and some deets from the event itself:

It could have gone any way last night, considering the theme of the Costume Institute exhibition: “American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity.” There could have been neo-jazz babies, flappers, debutantes, feminists, disco queens, Hollywood sirens, Nouvelle Society matrons and Playboy bunnies. And that’s just a few archetypes off the top of a stack. But most of the women attending the gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, among the 725 guests, dressed elegantly, more so than in recent years, and they did their best to heed Anna Wintour’s e-mail messages to be on time. At 6:30 p.m., Ms. Wintour, the editor in chief of Vogue, was waiting at the top of the red-carpeted grand staircase, a tiny figure in a gold Chanel dress and jacket. If the gala’s other leaders, Oprah Winfrey and Patrick Robinson, the executive vice president of design for Gap, had ascended the front steps, they still had a climb before they reached Ms. Wintour and the receiving line. Asked if she felt any pressure to wear clothes by American designers, Ms. Wintour smiled and said, “Well, if you see the exhibition, they’re all wearing French clothes.” Ms. Winfrey wore a design of Oscar de la Renta, who had invited Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and Barbara Walters, among others, to sit at his table. In recent years, the themes of the Costume Institute exhibits have included “Anglomania,” superheroes and models. That at least provided some direction for how to dress for the party, where this year the top table price was $250,000 and Lady Gaga sang after the dinner. But this year’s exhibition, organized by the curator Andrew Bolton, looked at styles between 1890 and the 1940s, relying on exceptional pieces from the Brooklyn Museum’s collection like Worth gowns, gray walking suits and bicycling outfits. It’s a serene view of American style, set against murals, and it was almost shocking to see how tiny the figures were, with tiny waists and tiny feet. Naturally, everyone had her own idea of what defined American style. “I think it’s confidence,” said Vera Wang, in a long white dress, as she talked to members of the Newhouse family and then Wendy Murdoch, who wore a fitted green silk dress with a long black train. Its designer, Prabal Gurung, was new to her. She said that Ms. Wintour had recommended him. A few feet away, and trying to avoid the train of Mrs. Murdoch’s dress, were Nicole Richie, in a silvery Marc Jacobs dress, and Margherita Missoni, in a long black dress that sort of left her bare on the sides. “It’s my idea of grunge,” Ms. Missoni said. “I want to bring back the ’90s.” Ms. Ritchie said she wanted to dress up more these days. “I actually wear long dresses a lot,” she said. Across the Petrie Sculpture Court, where cocktails were held, Lauren Santo Domingo was channeling the ’90s as well. “Tom Ford,” she said, mentioning a designer whose name seemed to be on a number of people’s lips. Ms. Santo Domingo’s long beige beaded dress was actually a Proenza Schouler. She was standing with Chloë Sevigny, who had on a bright turquoise Proenza dress with a short belled skirt. “I couldn’t pull off your dress,” Ms. Sevigny said to Ms. Santo Domingo, “and you couldn’t pull off mine.” They seemed agreed about that. Christopher Bailey, the Burberry designer, had his idea about American style: “It’s easy, functional, comfortable with an earthy sexiness. I still think of Lauren Hutton as the epitome of that style.” Franca Sozzani, the editor of Italian Vogue, had on a beige silk satin Valentino dress (“From way, way back,” she said, waving her hand), and she stood surveying the jam-packed, train-tripping room with Donatella Versace. “To me, American fashion is Charlie James,” Ms. Sozzani said. Ah, Charlie. Someone was summoning him, too. Dr. Lisa Airan, the Manhattan dermatologist, had wanted to wear a real James dress to the party, but her friend, the designer Gilles Mendel, had told her that wasn’t such a great idea. So she went to the Met library, did some research, and asked Mr. Mendel to make her dress in the James spirit.

Honestly, I’m not really impressed with anything that I saw on the red carpet last night. Sure, there were a lot of pretty dresses but nothing really stood out. In previous years, there were quite a few interesting and over-the-top looks that were real attention getters (remember Madonna‘s Louis Vuitton bunny ears last year?) but this year … nada. After the jump, check out a few more photos from the red carpet arrivals last night at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala to see if anything jumps out and grabs your eye …

One big, happy family
The Brady Bündch Expands For A Park Playdate

Earlier this week we saw cute photos of the Beckham boys hanging out with the Brady boys (Tom and his eldest son John Edward) and today we get to see these Brady boys hanging out with the new Mrs. Brady, Gisele Bündchen, and newborn baby boy Benjamin Rein. As we learned last week, Tom and Gisele are building a new dream home for their new family here in SoCal so they’ve deffo started making themselves at home here in the area. Here are a few supercute pics of the happy family — Tom, Gisele, John and Benjaminenjoying a day at the park in Santa Monica, CA this week:

After taking baby Benjamin, 4 months, to Paris, where they enjoyed a scenic cruise down the Seine, Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen took their little guy to a Santa Monica, Calif., park Thursday. Joining them? Big brother Jack, 2½, Brady’s son with ex Bridget Moynahan. The happy family played together on a playground, and Jack even rode around on a little scooter while Benjamin stayed comfortably perched in his mother’s arms.

I wasn’t aware that they were referring to little John as “Jack” (which I never understood as a nickname, btw) but whatever the case may be, it’s clear they are all working really hard on making a happy family together. I suspect Tom and Gisele decided to settle here in LA so that they could spend more time with John, who lives full-time with his mother Bridget Moynahan. I’m guessing that we will be seeing more of the newly expanded Brady Bündch around town in the coming weeks and months. They look so happy, it’s impossible not to be as happy for them.

The Brady Bündch does Paris, France!
Tom Brady & Gisele Bündchen Take Benjamin On His First Boat Ride

When last we saw The Brady BündchTom Brady, Giesele Bündchen and baby boy Benjamin Reinthey were all dolled up at the Brazilian wedding of Gisele‘s fraternal twin sister. Today, we get to see photos of the fam as they enjoy a fun boat ride down the river Seine in Paris, France. Not only is this baby Ben‘s first visit to France but I believe it is also his first boat ride … check it out:

Meet Benjamin Brady, world traveler. Just 10 days after attending his aunt’s Brazilian wedding, Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady’s son Benjamin celebrated his 4-month birthday with a family day out in Paris. Under warm skies, the trio, joined by Bündchen’s mother and sister, took off from their hotel for a private 90-minute lunchtime cruise along the Seine aboard a 72 ft. charter yacht. “Gisele carried Benjamin on board wrapped in a white blanket,” one onlooker told PEOPLE, adding, “The baby’s very pretty. He’s very active – looking everywhere.” And he had a lot to see. From Bastille the yacht sailed downriver beside Notre Dame, the Louvre, Concorde and moored beneath the Eiffel Tower. “Tom and Gisele and Benjamin were posing for family pictures, kissing the baby and each other,” the onlooker says. With lunch onboard prepared by chef Jean Pierre Vigato in a salon, the couple took turns holding Benjamin while they ate on the deck. After sailing back, Gisele and Tom took their son to one of Paris’s legendary sweet shops, Angelina’s, where they enjoyed ice cream before Bündchen and Benjamin hit the shops. Gisele stopped into Maria-Luisa for Men on Rue Mont Thabor. “Gisele comes in from time to time,” says a shop employee. “This time it was a surprise. The baby was sleeping very peacefully in Gisele’s mother’s arms.” Next, it was time to get something for Benjamin, so the group stopped into Tartin et Chocolat on the Faubourg Saint-Honoré. “He’s a beautiful baby,” says the shop’s director, Madame Edith. “With a mother and a father like his, how could he not be?”

Dang … this little family sure does know how to pack in a day full of activities. It sounds like they really got around. After the jump, check out one more photo of The Brady Bündch on their boat ride as they showed each other how much they truly love one another …

The Brady Family Go To Brazil

Last week we learned that Gisele Bündchen and hubby Tom Brady would be taking their newborn baby boy Benjamin Rein down to Brazil so that her side of the family there could meet the newest addition to their family at Gisele‘s sister’s wedding. Here are a couple pics of The Brady Bündch at this past weekend’s family nuptials:

Proud new mother Gisele Bundchen introduced her baby son Benjamin to the Brazilian side of his family for the first time at her twin sister’s wedding over the weekend. The supermodel and American football player husband Tom Brady jetted to Barra Do Ribeiro, near Porto De Alegre, with their 16-week-old son to attend fraternal twin Patricia’s marriage to Rodrigo Pereira at the Laurentia Vineyard. As the maid of honour, Bundchen, 29, wore a pink layered Missoni 2005 dress and dressed her son in a mini tuxedo. As Bundchen fulfilled her duties taking care of the bride, New England Patriots player Tom, 32, kept hold of Benjamin and carried around the baby’s bag full of nappies during the reception. The trip marked baby Benjamin’s first ever holiday and provided an opportunity for him to meet Bundchen’s grandparents and the rest of the family. Following the afternoon ceremony, the bride and groom joined 70 people to celebrate their wedding with a reception late into the night. As part of Earth Hour, the environmentally conscious bride asked her guests to sit by candlelight for an hour after turning the lights off. While spending the weekend in Brazil, Bundchen told the local press she only spoke in Portuguese to her baby son. She said: ‘I only talk in Portuguese when I’m with him. I think he must get used to the language and learn it – it is important to be bilingual. He’s not just Brady, he’s a Bundchen too.’

Awww … so cute!! Firstly, I LOVE that the Bündchen family observed Earth Hour, even tho they had a wedding going on! Secondly, I love that Gisele is raising Benjamin to be bilingual. Not only will that child be blessed with beauteous good looks but he’ll also be able to speak fluently in at least 2 languages … which is very important in this day and age. It sounds like The Brady Bündch had themselves a great time in Brazil over the weekend … I imagine they might stay there a bit longer to enjoy some more Bündchen hospitality.

Gisele Bündchen & Benjamin Rein Visit Brazil

Yesterday we saw photos of new mama Gisele Bündchen taking her baby boy Benjamin Rein into a medical clinic here in SoCal and today we know why. Late last night, Gisele and Ben hopped a flight out of LAX Airport and made their way to Brazil for a visit with the Bündchen clan. It would appear that Benjamin most like got a few necessary booster shots for his trip abroad. Here are a couple pics of Gisele and baby making their way thru the airport here in LA last night and in Brazil this morning:

I believe this is the first chance that Gisele‘s family in Brazil will get to meet her baby boy who was born 3 months ago. I’m certain the Bündchens are just aching to smother the little guy with their love and affection … which is prolly where Gisele gets it from ;) I hope Gisele and Ben have a great time in Brazil … it’s a shame that hubby/daddy Tom Brady couldn’t go with them. Perhaps he is too bizzy with training?

Happy Smother's Day!
Gisele Bündchen Steps Out With Baby Benjamin

New mom Gisele Bündchen stepped out here in SoCal today to take her baby boy Benjamin Rein for a check-up at a local medical center. As you can see from the following photos, Gisele is a very protective mother … unfortch for little Ben, she might be a bit too protective for his own good:

Aww … poor Ben. The wee one prolly just wants to breath some fresh air and all it looks like he’s gettin’ in these photos is a face full of boobs. While I’m pretty cure that Gisele is being very careful not to actually smother her baby, it still looks like she’s holding him a bit too tight ;) It’s okay … she’s a new mom. I’m sure she’ll get the hang of it all soon enough.

“I felt like my pregnancy was a sacred moment for me"
Gisele Bündchen Does ‘Vogue’ Magazine

Gisele Bündchen, supermodel extraordinaire and new mom, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Vogue magazine … who posed for the mag just 6 weeks after giving birth. As you may recall, Gisele and hubby Tom Brady welcomed the birth of their first child together — a boy named Benjamin Reinin early December. It wasn’t until early February that we got our first look at little Benjamin Rein. Today we get another peek at Gisele‘s baby boy in the pages of Vogue, as well as a sneak peek at her coverstory interview. Here is Gisele‘s Vogue coverphoto and excerpts from her accompanying interview:

Devoted to health, wellness, and the trials and triumphs of shape and size, VOGUE’s annual April tribute to the female form, the Shape Issue, is replete with stories that range from the inspirational to the poignant, but all celebrate a love for life … The model of health itself, Gisele Bündchen is a natural choice to grace the cover of the April Shape Issue. Only six weeks after giving birth, Gisele opens the doors to her Boston home to VOGUE Contributing Editor Joan Juliet Buck and shares intimate details about the birth of her baby boy with New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, her new beauty line developed to empower troubled young girls around the world, and her efforts to save the environment. In a stunning editorial shot by Patrick Demarchelier, the model enjoys the beaches of Costa Rica and shows off her new baby, Benjamin Rein.

Gisele on her baby’s name, Benjamin Rein: “I wanted him to be called River because I wanted something always flowing, immortal. My husband said, ‘There’s no way we’re going to call him River.’ But my father’s name is Reinoldo, so it’s a homage to him. And it’s like water.”

On staying in shape while pregnant: “I did kung fu up until two weeks before Benjamin was born, and yoga three days a week. I think a lot of people get pregnant and decide they can turn into garbage disposals. I was mindful about what I ate, and I gained only 30 pounds.”

On keeping out of the public eye: “I felt like my pregnancy was a sacred moment for me. I stayed in Boston and I didn’t work apart from the contracts I have, and then I only let them use my face.”

On her first time behind the camera since her son was born: “I got to the studio and I felt like I was E.T.—whoa, what’s going on? Hair and makeup? I hadn’t looked at myself in a mirror for a month and a half… Usually, as I walk through the door into that atmosphere, I already feel different. There’s a button that goes On and I’m On. And when I go On, there is almost no me; there is just a character who is doing all this. This time it wasn’t like that… For the first time, I think I actually saw me—the inside—instead of the persona.”

Only a paragon of perfection like Gisele could give birth to a baby and 6 weeks later look this good for Vogue magazine. OY! After the jump, check out a few photos from Gisele‘s Vogue photoshoot including a pic of her still pregs, a pic of her with baby Ben and more …
