A few weeks ago we heard that Halle Berry was in court seeking a restraining order against a stalker of hers. Then Halle was back in court because she was fighting her daughter, Nahla’s dad for custody, after she feared his temper with their nanny. Seems like Halle is involved in the court system all the time these days, but now TMZ has broken the story that she may be in serious danger and needs to leave the U.S.

We got to see some pics today of Halle Berry arriving at the L.A Superior Court this morning in a car… she is there to seek a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend and baby daddy, Gabriel Aurbey, from seeing their child, Nahla, until an investigation is finalized. In April of last year we learned the surprising news that Halle Berry and her model babydaddy Gabriel Aubry had broken up. I had assumed that the couple remained cordial after their split, especially since they were seen on multiple occasions hanging out together with their daughter Nahla Ariela. It turns out, tho, that the couple have not remained friendly … and, in fact, things have gotten very nasty as they begin to battle legally over custody of their daughter. Sources close to Halle have alleged that Gabriel verbally abused her, even resorting to calling her the “N” word in heated arguments.

Last week we saw a few supercute photos of Halle Berry and her daughter Nahla Ariela having a great time together at the Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in Beverly Hills, CA … and today we get to see new photos of Nahla back at Mr. Bones but this time with her daddy Gabriel Aubrey. Either Gabe was not aware that Halle had already taken Nahla to the pumpkin patch just a few days before or he just wanted to share the experience with his daughter … in either case, Nahla got to visit the pumpkin patch twice in just a few short days:

Earlier today we saw photos of Halle making her red carpet debut with new man Olivier Martinez at the 2010 Carousel of Hope Ball on Saturday night … so mebbe Gabriel thought it would be a great idea to hang out with his daughter the following Sunday morning (when these photos were taken). To be honest, it doesn’t look like Nahla had as much fun at the pumpkin patch with her daddy this time as opposed to the first time she went with her mommy. Methinks daddy should’ve taken Nahla to Disneyland instead.

Back in April we learned the sad news that Halle Berry and babydaddy Gabriel Aubrey decided to end their 4 year relationship but today we learn that the couple reunited (at least for a short while) to take their daughter Nahla Ariela to Disneyland as a family! It’s unclear if this family excursion is a happy sign that the couple are working on repairing their relationship or not but it looks like they really were one big happy family again … at least for one more day:

The two — who split in April after four years of dating — spent 3 1/2 hours at Disneyland with 2-year-old daughter, Nahla. “They seemed very happy together. They were totally interacting: laughing, joking… he even touched her several times on the shoulder,” an eyewitness tells UsMagazine.com. “They seemed very content.” But don’t hold your breath for a reconciliation. “There was no holding hands, no sign that they were back together again,” the onlooker explains. “He spent most of his time with Nahla. She was on his shoulders, he carried her around most of the time. Halle handed her off to him.”

You know, even if Halle and Gabriel don’t get back together together it’s a good sign that they can play nice for the sake of their incredibly beautiful daughter. Ah well … you never know what may happen. They seemed to break up totally randomly … mebbe they’ll get back together totally randomly too!

Sad break-up news to pass along today … People magazine is citing “multiple sources” and is reporting that Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry and model Gabriel Aubry have broken up. After 4 years together, which resulted in a beautiful babygirl named Nahla Ariela, it appears the steam has run out on their relationship. They are dunzo, y’all:

Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry have broken up after four years together, according to multiple reports. The Oscar winner and the Canadian model are reportedly in negotiations to work out a custody agreement regarding their 2-year-old daughter Nahla, TMZ.com reports. Berry, 43, and Aubrey, 34, met at a Versace store opening in Manhattan in February 2006. Their daughter was born two years later. In February 2009, Berry told Essence magazine about motherhood, “I’m complete. I have more to offer my craft because [my daughter] makes me indelibly better every day.” That same month, Aubry told PEOPLE that Nahla “needs a sibling. I think it’s important.” Berry’s rep couldn’t be reached for comment.

Blah, what a bummer. These two seemed so happy together … but break-ups like this truly show that things are not always as they appear. I guess it’s safe to assume that Halle and Gabriel won’t be makin’ any more beautiful babies together, which is a shame considering what an adorable child they have in Nahla. I certainly hope the couple can figure out an amicable way to hammer out custody of their little girl … she is far too precious to be used as a pawn in a break-up. Here’s hoping this split is for the best, even tho it seems from the outside like a damn shame :(
