‘Empire’ Magazine Publishes New Images From ‘The Hunger Games’

Woot Woot Woot!!! I’ve got some GREAT new stuff from The Hunger Games to share with all y’all today. As you may recall, last week we saw The Avengers on the cover of the new issue of Empire magazine. Included in the issue are new photos from The Hunger Games — and they are pretty freakin’ cool photos, too. This new issue of Empire brings us a new photo of Katniss (played by Jennifer Lawrence) as well as a new photo that features Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks), Haymitch (Woody Harrelson) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson). Additionally, Empire published a series of 6 “trading cards” that feature some of the other Panem tributes who are also competing in The Hunger Games. Check out the scans from Empire magazine below.

The ‘Lord Of The Rings’ Hobbits Reunite 10 Years Later

10 years ago, director Peter Jackson brought the fantastical and mythic world of J.R.R. Tolkien ‘s Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring to life on the big screen. That film was the first of a trilogy of hugely successful films based on Tolkien ‘s work, beloved by fans all around the world. ‘Empire’ Magazine Publishes A Series Of ‘Dragon Tattoo’-Inspired Photos

Last week we got our first look at Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig on the cover of Empire magazine as they promoted their new film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Today we get to see a few photos from inside that magazine that feature Rooney and Daniel in character as Lisbeth Salander and Mikael Blomkvist in a few Dragon Tatoo-inspired poses. Check ‘em out below.

Lisbeth Salander Is NOT A Superhero
‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ Does ‘Empire’ Magazine

Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig are featured on the cover of the new issue of Empire magazine, marking the FIRST magazine cover for the upcoming David Fincher film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. In the coverstory interview, Fincher himself makes it clear that lead protagonist Lisbeth Salander (played by Mara) is not a superhero figure. She may be a tough chick who kicks ass but her amazing strength comes from very difficult circumstances. It’s an interesting read … check out an excerpt from this issue of Empire below.

Oh My God ... of Thunder
‘Thor’ Does ‘Empire’ Magazine

The God of Thunder Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Empire magazine:

Forsooth! What light through yonder magazine breaks? It’s the Norse God of Thunder, and Kenneth Branagh is his director! Our James went on set of Marvel’s latest superhero movie to find out how Captain Kirk’s dad, Shakespeare’s biggest director and a really outlandish Avenger are getting along together. Have they kept the Shakespearean dialogue that Thor is famous for? Will he bring the thunder? And what’s this about The Destroyer?

This issue of Empire boasts an in-depth behind the scenes look at the film but, for the most part, the photos published in the mag are all pretty benign … save for one. After the jump, check out a very cool photo of Thor and his fellow God brother Loki (played by Tom Hiddleston) on set …

'Empire' magazine & 'USA Today' gets the scoop
‘Transformers 2’: The First Photos

The new issue of Empire magazine features the first photos to come from the Transformers sequel, Revenge of the Fallen, which is due for release later on this year. Additionally, USA Today has a few Transformers 2 exclusives of their own. Here are the pics that appear in the new issue of Empire magazine:

If there’s one film out next year that sums up the word ‘blockbuster’ it’s Michael Bay’s monster sequel to 2007′s Transformers. It’s perhaps appropriate then that Transformers 2 kick starts our big 2009 preview feature in the latest issue of Empire (on sale now). You can read all about our exclusive visit to the Cairo set of the film in the issue and, in the meantime, cast your eyes down to see some exclusive new images from the film.

Woot! I am very much looking forward to the release of this movie. As you may recall, we got to see both Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox on the desert set of this Transformers sequel earlier in the year and it looks like they’ve got a lot of production on the film already in the can. After the jump, check out a few more pics which are featured in the new issue of USA Today

'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' gets a new promo pic
Knives Out

Here is a new promo pic of Hugh Jackman from his new movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine (which is due out in theaters next year) taken from the new issue of Empire magazine:

It’s been some time since we’ve seen new pictures of the mostly nekkid Hugh Jackman so I figured this pic was close enough (tho, it’s not nearly as hawt as the recent pics of the man frolicking shirtless in the water with his kids). I guess it was too good to be true to expect that we’d continue to get weekly pics of man in various states of undress … ah well, it was nice while it lasted. Hopefully we’ll get some of those pics to gawk at again soon … in the meantime, enjoy Wolverine. Hey, at least it’s something.
