SJP really, really loves Kim Cattrall ... and she wants YOU to know it
Friday, November 6th, 2009

Yesterday we got our first look at Sarah Jessica Parker on the cover of the new issue of Elle magazine and today we get to see a couple photos from the accompanying photospread. We also learned yesterday of SJP’s love of the smell of diapers … today we learn that she also loves Sex and the City co-star Kim Cattrall even more! She swears it, really!

On rumors of friction with Sex and the City co-star Kim Cattrall:
“I don’t think anybody wants to believe that I love Kim. I adore her. I wouldn’t have done the movie without her. Didn’t and wouldn’t.”

Hee hee, okay, okay … we get it … you love Kim Cattrall … and the smell of diapers, got it! The full interview with SJP can be read in the new issue of Elle magazine which hits newsstands this week. I’m curious to find out what other things SJP loves. I’m also curious to see more photos from the spread, she looks pretty hawt in these pics.

Sarah Jessica Parker Does ‘Elle’ Magazine

“I love the smell of diapers; I even like when they’re wet"
Thursday, November 5th, 2009

Sarah Jessica Parker, Sex and the City star and new mom of twin girls born of a surrogate mother, is featured on the cover of the new issue of Elle magazine wherein she talks a bit about her new additions to the family … here is her Elle coverphoto and some really cute excerpts from her coverstory interview:

Sarah Jessica Parker may have a number of best-selling fragrances, but the “Sex and The City” star says in the December issue of ELLE that it’s a less flowery smell that she loves. “I love the smell of diapers; I even like when they’re wet and you smell them all warm like a baked good,” she said. Parker is on double diaper duty these days thanks to the arrival of twin daughters Loretta and Tabitha, who were delivered by a surrogate earlier this year — but the star said that son James Wilkie got involved with the process, too. “He told me he really wanted Marion to be in the mix,” Parker said of baby names for Loretta — who is indeed Marion on her birth certificate. “We thought, ‘Are we crazy? Do we let our son name one of the girls? Is that the right thing to do? Is it important for him?’ And then he goes, and I want it legal.” While the world loves her as Carrie Bradshaw, Parker said she hopes her daughters feel the same way once they grow up. “First of all, I have a fear that they’re not going to like me,” she said. She can always bribe them with her considerable wardrobe, however. “The only tragedy would be if their feet are bigger than mine,” Parker said. In the meantime, she’s filming the much-anticipated “Sex” sequel and awaiting the Dec. 11-release of the romantic comedy “Did You Hear About The Morgans?” — in which she meets her character’s neurotic match in co-star Hugh Grant.

What a cute interview … I can’t wait to read more! I cannot believe that SJP and hubby Matthew Broderick let their child name one of his sisters … so crazy … and yet, so cute. This little tease for SJP’s Elle coverstory is a great taste of what’s to come. Not only am I anxious to see photos from her photospread but I deffo want to read more from this interview. I’m hoping she’ll keep the Sex and the City 2 spoilers to a minimum … but I ain’t gonna lie, I want to hear it all :)

Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon Do ‘Elle’ Magazine

"I try to live in the moment [like] it says in the Bible"
Thursday, September 10th, 2009

Mr. & Mrs. Cannon are featured in the new issue of Elle magazine but in all honesty, Mariah Carey is the focus of the piece. Mimi talks to Elle about her new album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel and touches briefly on her marriage with Nick (who is only included in the Elle photoshoot incidentally). Here are pics of the happy couple frolicking together in their beachy photospread and Mariah’s interview with Elle:

Mariah Carey has sold more than 160 million albums worldwide, and, if radio play for the first single on her new album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, is any indication, she’s on the verge of racking up more No. 1 hits than the Beatles. But underneath the pop varnish, Carey’s just a smitten newlywed in the middle of a home renovation, juggling a job and a new puppy. Sort of…

Congratulations on the album! Can you describe the new sound?
Each song is its own snapshot of a moment in a story. But overall, the vibe is R&B hip-hop with a lot of slow jams.

What kind of mood were you in when you wrote the album?
Each song has its own mood; some flow seamlessly into each other, and that was the purpose, and others are very different. The album has a sense of humor‹you can hear me laughing out loud at certain points‹but it also has deep and introspective moments.

Is there a track that holds special meaning for you?
Since I write almost all my songs, they all do. But a song like “The Impossible” is very much where my life is right now because I am actually in love for the first time.

Congratulations on celebrating your one-year wedding anniversary with Nick Cannon. How’s married life?
Amazing, better every day.

How do you two spend your free time?
We travel a lot. I think we’ve been to over 35 cities already.

Did Nick weigh in on the album?
We tend to do our own thing, but I did like sharing the process of this album with him, as we have the same taste in music and he’s a great DJ and loves music.

LMAOOOOOOO!! Mariah *has* to be in love for her to go on the public record to call her young pup of a hubby “a great DJ”. LOL!! After the jump, read the rest of Mimi’s Elle interview and find out what she has to say about her new life as the happily married Mrs. Cannon

More Photos Of Victoria Beckham In ‘Elle’ Magazine

“I find it odd that people will go to a nice restaurant ... in jeans & T-shirts."
Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

Last week we got our first look at Victoria Beckham on the cover of the new issue of Elle magazine … and today we get to see a few photos from her Elle photospread PLUS we get to read a few more quotes from her Elle coverstory interview:

On being separated from husband David Beckham for six months while he was playing soccer in Milan:
“I felt like someone had chopped my arm off, to be completely honest. Everything we do, we do together. I very rarely go out on my own, unless it’s a work commitment.”

On keeping herself busy with TV while David was away:
“I’ve done Nip/Tuck, Brothers & Sisters, Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice. Then I got into Gossip Girl. I’m beyond obsessed with that show.”

On the Los Angeles style of dress:
“I find it odd that people will go to a nice restaurant or to theater in jeans and T-shirts. You know, it’s great, David loves it. But it’s very different to my personal style.”

On her ever changing personal style:
“There are celebrities who always look great, always look pretty, but it’s always the same hair, the same makeup, and I find that quite boring. I want to change it up, do something really creative. I think that might be why women like me.”

On whether her look has changed since moving from England to Beverly Hills:
“I haven’t changed the way that I dress at all, which is probably why people stare a lot.”

On her rumored recent breast augmentation to a smaller size:
“We should just not talk about each other’s boobs.”

On her private family life:
“David and I have a working relationship together, and we also have a private life together. Someone used the example recently of Brad and Angelina. They might be in a movie together, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to let someone film them at home. I don’t do ‘at homes’ with my family. I don’t march my kids down red carpets. It’s just not how we choose to do things.”

On the prices of her own dresses:
“Would I think twice about buying a dress that costs $2,000? Yeah! Of course I would. I’d try it on and go home and think about it before I bought it.”

On raising her children:
“[They] bloody well will work. Same as myself, same as David. They’re not going to be the kind of kids that just hang about. I want them to be able to fulfill their passions, but I think it’s important that the children grow up and have respect for themselves.”

Far and away my favorite quote from her entire interview has to be, “We should just not talk about each other’s boobs.” LOLOLOLOL!!! She may look like a cold, unfeeling robotic animatron from planet Plastic but methinks her creators fashioned her with a pretty capable funny bone. The photos are meh. but the quotes are pretty priceless … don’t you think?

Victoria Beckham Does ‘Elle’ Magazine

Glamor girl
Friday, September 4th, 2009

Victoria Beckham is featured on the cover and in the pages of the October issue of Elle magazine … and because she is a diva supreme, Ms. Thang gets not one but TWO magazine covers for the mag — one for Elle subscribers and one for the regular peons who pick up the issue at newsstands. Here is Vicki B. on the cover of the subscriber issue of Elle and some quotes from her coverstory interview:

Dressed in nude stockings and suspenders and reclining on a diving board looking every inch the Hollywood star, it’s hard to imagine Victoria Beckham has any hang-ups at all. The former Spice Girl has a hint of Audrey Hepburn about her in the photoshoot, taken for Elle magazine’s subscriber cover in the U.S. But the 35-year-old has revealed that she is insecure and that her shyness is the reason for her near-constant pout. She said: ‘People think I’m a moody bitch. I do have my insecurities. Maybe that is why I look a little bit serious. The kind of person who’s going to stand on the red carpet and love the attention and have the big grin – I’m just not like that. I want to get in there, do what I’ve got to do, and get home to my kids.’ The mother-of-three, speaking to Elle, said that her relationship with husband of 10 years David was as strong as ever. ‘David and I have a working relationship together, and we also have a private life together. Someone used the example recently of Brad and Angelina. They might be in a movie together, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to let someone film them at home. I don’t do “at homes” with my family. I don’t march my kids down red carpets. It’s just not how we choose to do things.’ Despite her recently appearing as a guest judge on American Idol, she said reports that she wants an acting career are ‘rubbish’. ‘I know my boundaries – I know what I am good at and what I’m not good at.’ She also appears on the general on-sale cover, posing in a grey and yellow dress and carrying a silver box clutch. The photoshoot and interview are well-timed. Although celebrities including Elle Macpherson, Mel B and Katherine Jenkins have been snapping up her dresses, Victoria’s denim line has been dropped by another US retailer. According to reports, the dVb brand was dumped by high-end Los Angeles boutique Maxfield. ‘Maxfield no longer carries dVb,’ a source told a US newspaper, who cited ‘poor sales’ as the reason. The line was previously dropped by Kitson, Saks and Bendels.

OUCH! Tough (but not at all surprising) news about her dropped denim line but I suspect that her finances will be just fine. After the jump, check out the alternate Elle magazine cover, the one you will find on newsstands if you are not a regular subscriber …

Leighton Meester & Ed Westwick Do ‘Elle’ Magazine

Gothic Girl
Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

Here is our first look at one of the photos that is to be published in an upcoming issue of Elle magazine which features Leighton Meester and her Gossip Girl co-star Ed Westwick lookin’ all kinds of gothy glam:

This photo was first posted anonymously on Twitter so it’s quite possible that it’s not meant for public consumption just yet. Nonetheless, it has made its way to us for our viewing pleasure. I’m not sure how I feel about this photo, to be quite honest. The black lipstick might be a bit much … but I am curious to see the other photos from this shoot. Mebbe in context, the black lips will make more sense. Do y’all like it this photo?

Jennifer Aniston Does ‘Elle’ Magazine

"If I’m the emblem for ‘... the lonely girl getting on with her life,’ so be it”
Tuesday, August 4th, 2009

Jennifer Aniston is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Elle magazine … and while the coverstory interview has not been released online just yet, Elle is already teasing the issue by releasing Jen’s coverphoto, a few excerpts from her interview and a very revealing photo:

Jennifer Aniston — The resilient actress on humor, honesty, and her other ambition

On being labeled a “lonely girl”: “I’m not going to ignore the pink elephant in the living room. It’s fine. I can take it. If I’m the emblem for ‘this is what it looks like to be the lonely girl getting on with her life,’ so be it.”

On helping others unlucky in love: “I support women, men, anybody who is in a place that’s not their strongest and who is ready to push forward.”

On using humor to get through tough situations: “I remember being 7 and asking my mom if I was as pretty as [my best friend] Monique. And with all the love in the world, my mom looked at me and said, ‘Oh, honey, you’re so funny.’ So, she doesn’t lie to me… She answers the question by not answering and instead tells me what she thinks is my greatest strength.”

Firstly, kudos to Jen for finally realizing and accepting her lot in life … she will forever be the terribly wealthy pretty girl who is destined to remain single for all time immemorial. Secondly, wow her mom was a beyotch! Even if your mama doesn’t think you’re as pretty as other kids, the least they could do is lie (tho, I’m of the mind that good moms could never see another child more beautiful than their own). I wonder what other nuggets of info Jennifer will be revealing in this issue of Elle magazine. And speaking of revealing, after the jump check out one of Jen’s Elle photos that is — you guessed it — a bit revealing
