On Monday we learned that the marriage between Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren was officially over as the terms of their very public divorce was made final. As you may recall, we learned earlier this year just how horribly Woods treated his wife Nordegren by cheating on her so publicly (and with so many different women) and just a few months later, the couple are no longer married … Tiger is a lot poorer and Elin is a lot richer. Today for the first time since the Tiger Woods Cheating Scandal came to light, Elin Nordegren is telling her side of the story to People magazine. Here is our first look at Elin‘s People mag cover and some excerpts from her coverstory interview:

Her divorce is final and she’s ready to talk. Elin Nordegren breaks her nine-month silence in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE magazine. “I have been through the stages of disbelief and shock, to anger and ultimately grief over the loss of the family I so badly wanted for my children,” she says in the magazine’s latest issue, out just days after her split from Tiger Woods was made official. The 30-year-old mother of two, who is studying towards a college degree in psychology, says that despite her husband’s betrayal, “I also feel stronger than I ever have. I have confidence in my beliefs, my decisions and myself.” In 19 hours over four visits to her Windermere, Fla., rental home, Nordegren shared never-before-seen personal photographs and opened up to PEOPLE about the emotional roller coaster she’s been on, her life as a mother to Sam, 3, and Charlie, 19 months, and her hopes for the future. “My immediate plan is for the kids and me to continue to adjust to our new situation. I am going to keep taking classes, but my main focus is to try to give myself time to heal,” she says. She tells the magazine this was her first – and last – interview, as she intends to remain a private person.

I’m actually very surprised that this interview even exists … not because I know how private a person Elin Nordegren is but because I was certain the terms of her divorce from Tiger Woods would insist that she never speak publicly about what went down between them. It does not surprise me in the least that Elin vows that this will be her first and last public interview about her failed marriage to the infidelitous Tiger Woods. In the wake of the insanely embarrassing Tiger Woods Cheating Scandal, Tiger and his wife Elin Nordegren went thru a few month phase of what looked to be an attempt to keep their marriage intact. Altho the couple were never seen out in public in any affectionate fashion, they did appear to seem willing to work towards salvaging their marriage in an attempt to put Tiger‘s infidelitous extramarital affairs behind them. Just a couple of weeks ago, Elin left the US and returned home to her native Sweden without Tiger … which seemed to signal a break down in their attempt to salvage their marriage. Just recently, Elin returned home to be with her husband … and now TMZ is reporting that the couple are dunzo for good. According to today’s report, Tiger and Elin have decided to divorce and are hoping to do so as quickly and as quietly as possible:

TMZ has learned Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren are trying to strike agreements on child custody and division of assets … and then quietly and quickly file divorce papers to end their marriage. Sources very familiar with the situation tell TMZ … the most important thing for both Tiger and Elin is keeping the terms of the divorce confidential. We’re told Tiger has a team — partly based in NYC — that is working on the division of assets. But … as TMZ first told you … the key player is West Palm Beach lawyer Thomas Sasser, an expert in child custody agreements that involve more than one jurisdiction. Sources say one of the options is to actually file for divorce in Sweden — Elin wants to move there with the kids and Tiger would have to submit to the jurisdiction of the court. Wherever the divorce is filed, the plan is to keep the custody and property settlement agreements out of the court file. We’re told the quicker and quieter the divorce, the better. The big issue, we’re told — Tiger wants either custody or visitation, and assurance that he can go into court and enforce the agreement if Elin violates it. We’re told Tiger wants the option to go to either a Swedish or American court to enforce the custody agreement. And sources say … the couple has not reached agreement on any of the major issues … at least not yet.

This sounds about right. I could never, for the life of me, envision a scenario where Elin would be able to forgive and forget everything that Tiger put her thru both in public and in private. It would take a lot, I would imagine, for her to be able to stay married to Tiger Woods (especially considering how little regard he appears to have had for their marriage vows) and apparently her needs were not or could not be met. On Tiger‘s end, I have to say, I also see where he is coming from. Yes, he is a self-admitted cheating scuzz but he does appear to love his children very much. My guess is that they will be able to hammer out the terms of their divorce to everyone’s satisfaction in that Elin will get a nice settlement and Tiger will get the access to his children that he wants. I wouldn’t be surprised if Elin and the children moved to Sweden permanently with the caveat that they return to the US on a regular basis so that the kids could see their father. As they get older, they’ll prolly make the long trek back and forth on with nannies or on their own. What a crappy situation all around for the kids. Tiger Woods has ruined so many things due to his disgusting behavior … and the saddest part of his destruction has to be the ruination of his kids’ young lives with both of their parents.

When last we heard from Elin Nordegren, embattled wife of philandering golf phenom Tiger Woods, it was rumored that she had jetted off to the Alps to enjoy a little holiday on the slopes with her twin sister. But this week, Elin showed up near her Windermere, Florida home with her kids — Sam Alexis and Charlie Axel — in tow, lookin’ happy and carefree. Elin and the kiddies went out for a little stroll on Thursday and then she showed up at their daycare center to pick them up on Friday … here are a few photos:

At least in these photos it appears that Elin is happy … as you can see she is deffo NOT wearing her wedding ring in any of these photos. While she tends to the children at home in Florida, the world continues to wonder where Tiger Woods has slinked off to. Some reports claim he is hiding out in a rehab center in Arizona, other reports claim he’s holed up in a luxury apartment in NYC. Wherever he is, he is deffo doing a great job of staying out of sight … which might be part of why Elin is lookin’ so well. The kids look no worse for the wear (tho Charlie Axel looks a little befuddled by all the attention) so hopefully they’ll be able to survive this mess relatively unscathed. When last we heard from Tiger Woods, it was reported that he had slinked off to hide get help at a rehab center in Arizona just one day before AT&T announced that they were dropping their sponsorship of his professional golf career. Now we learn that while Tiger stays out of sight (wherever he is), his estranged wife Elin Nordegren has reportedly popped up in a French resort area with her twin sister Josefin, seemingly without a care in the world. Elin‘s been skiing her troubles away, y’all:

While the embattled Tiger Woods seems to have vanished, reports have surfaced that place his wife, Elin Nordegren, in a posh French Alps ski resort as she considers her future. While saying that Nordgren, 30, has put thousands of miles between herself and her scandal-ridden husband, 34, the U.K. tabloid the Sun reports that Nordegren has been staying in an $8,000-a-night, seven-room chalet outside the resort town of Chamonix since last Sunday. Sources tell PEOPLE that Nordegren and her twin sister Josefin, along with several close friends, have been skiing in Les Houches, an exclusive ski area adjacent to the Chamonix valley under the watchful paid eye of a private five-man French security force. Though the chalet includes a full staff as well as its own chef, Nordegren and her sister have been out to a local restaurant, hosting a New Year’s Eve celebration which at midnight became the twins’ 30th birthday party, according to one restaurant staffer. In its report, the Sun quotes a “family friend” as saying that Nordegren wished to escape “from the minefield Tiger has created by his behavior” and that Elin told her husband “she needed a lengthy time apart to reflect on how they might possibly salvage the marriage.”

I, personally, think it would be idiotic for Elin to try and salvage this marriage. Cheating is cheating and that alone is practically unforgivable. But I suppose concessions could be made if there was just one indiscretion to deal with … Tiger Wood‘s cavalcade of mistresses all around the country seems proof positive that he never respected his marriage or the vows he made to his wife and his rampant illicit behavior has, very literally, put her health in danger. Even if Tiger used “protection” every single time he allegedly cheated, there is not 100% guaranteed way to stay completely safe. Who knows what Tiger Woods brought home to his wife after all of his philandering (and we know he philandered outside of his marriage bed, he confessed as much in his own words). Ultimately the choice is hers alone. If she honestly believes he can change his ways, then I suppose it might be worth sticking it out. I can’t see how that is even possible but, then again, it’s not a situation that I can identify with at all. I wish her the best of luck tho … she’s in a tough predicament with a lot at stake, most importantly her family life. I hope she truly is able to ski her problems away.

After all the crazy drama flooding the universe from the seemingly epic (and endless) tale known as the Tiger Woods Cheating Scandal, it is being reported today by RadarOnline that Elin Nordegren has gotten herself a divorce lawyer and plans to formally end her marriage to Tiger Woods. Could it be? Are Tiger and Elin really about to be dunzo?

Tiger Woods’ wife Elin has decided to file divorce papers, RadarOnline.com is reporting exclusively. Too many women and too many lies have pushed her over the edge. The financial terms of the split are going to take a while to work out, but as of right now Elin has made up her mind that she can no longer be married to Tiger, a source familiar with the situation told RadarOnline.com. “She’s not going to let Tiger talk his way out of this,” the source said. “There’s nothing he can say to erase years of betrayal.” At least 14 women have been sexually linked to Tiger since Rachel Uchitel was first revealed as Tiger’s mistress for the past five months. When Tiger’s affair with Uchitel became public it led to a bitter fight that ended with Tiger driving his car into a fire hydrant and tree. But things only got worse for the golfer as he was unmasked as a serial cheater in the aftermath of his bizarre crash. Elin has been spotted without her wedding ring in recent days and the source told RadarOnline.com that she considers the marriage over. Several reports have said she will fly to Sweden for the holidays and while that has not yet been confirmed it is clear that divorce papers will be filed sooner rather than later.

Yesterday we learned that Tiger‘s wife Elin Nordegren had reportedly packed her shizz and moved out of the Woods manse in the wake of all the drama EXPLODING all around Tiger and his supposed cavalcade of mistresses … but considering that Elin‘s mother was rushed to the hospital from the Woods mansion early Tuesday morning after she suffered a “stomach ailment”, it would seem that Elin hadn’t really moved out just yet. But, don’t be surprised if she really does move out of her home with hubby Tiger to a new home … a home that is far, far away … in Sweden. It turns out that Elin bought a $2.5 million dollar mansion in Sweden (her homeland) with her twin sister Josefin just a couple of weeks before this Tiger Woods Cheating Scandal came to light … has she been planning her exit for longer than we we knew?

Elin Nordegren: Smarter than we thought? According to NBC London, Tiger Woods’ beleaguered wife purchased a $2.5 million home in Sweden in negotiations that began “two months ago,” apparently in her own name and that of her twin sister. Could it be that Elin discovered her husband’s (alleged!) philandering ways long before anyone thought she did? As we all learned in Beowulf, you don’t mess with Nordic women. They will kick your ass in every conceivable way. Nordegren is said to have packed up the kids and moved out of the Orlando home she shared with Woods, and is supposedly now living in another home nearby. Hakam Andreasson of Aftonbladet, a Stockholm newspaper, confirmed that Elin and her sister purchased the property on the Stockholm archipeligo of Faglaro. Negotiations began about 2 months ago and were finalized on December 1st. From the New York Daily News: Her Swedish getaway is located on some prime Scandinavian real estate — a small, secluded island reachable from Stockholm only by ferryboat. Or, you know, by simply walking across the ice nine months out of the year. “It belonged to a professional soccer player who wanted privacy,” Linge said. “I heard she started looking at it last summer and bought it two weeks ago.” What can we deduce from this? Just speaking for myself, I believe that Elin devised an exit strategy the minute she discovered that Tiger was cavorting with floozies. She got the kids, money, a house in Sweden and got to bend a golf club over Tiger’s head. She got it all.

Some say that the wife is always the last to know when a husband starts cheating but that is not always the case. Perhaps Elin knew more than she wanted to know early on? If all of these reports of infidelity on Tiger‘s part are to be believed, my guess is that Elin prolly knew about some of this drama for some time … she just was prolly not aware of just how unfaithful her husband allegedly was to her. I would bet good money that Elin will flee to Sweden to take up (temporary?) residence in this new mansion. It can’t be fun hanging around and dealing with this growing mess on a daily basis.

It suddenly occurred to me that it now makes so much sense that Tiger Woods would so fiercely guard his privacy. If he really had all of these secret women to deal with, of course he would choose to NOT speak at all about any private family matter so as not to slip up and ruin his plans. He managed to keep things totally quiet for some time now so I guess he was mostly successful … but if he really was cheating on such a huge scale, he had to know that it wouldn’t last forever. Yesterday the news quickly spread that pro golfer Tiger Woods was involved in a car accident near his home in Florida and immediately people went into a frenzy of worry over his injuries. But as the story’s smoke cleared, as it were, a better picture of what went down began to emerge and the accident took a back seat to the drama that is said to have unfolded before the accident took place. As succinctly as possible, here’s what went down … Tiger and his wife Elin Nordegren got into an argument over allegations that he had been cheating with a woman named Rachel Uchitel:

Apparently, the argument escalated and Elin scratched up Tiger‘s face and chased him from their home with one of his golf clubs. As Elin beat his car with one of his clubs as he was trying to drive away, Tiger first crashed into a fire hydrant and then into a nearby tree. Elin then smashed out the car’s windows with the club and dragged Tiger from the car (because he was unconscious from the impact) before paramedics arrived on the scene and took him away to the hospital. In the wake of reports that Tiger Woods was involved in a single car accident on Friday, November 27, more details have been exposed on the avid golfer’s alleged affair with Rachel Uchitel. Star Magazine claims to have been informed by Uchitel’s friend Ashley Sampson that Uchitel first met Woods when she was still working as an event planner and the director of VIP Operations for the Big Apple hotspot Griffin. It was Woods who initiated the affair by offering to show Uchitel a “good golf grip,” Sampson reveals further. She goes on stating, “In June, she told me, ‘Tiger Woods is blowing up my phone messages!’ Tiger thinks Rachel is staying quiet about their affair, but she told everyone. She told me, ‘I’m having an affair with Tiger Woods. We’re in love!’ ” Besides, “I’ve heard him while she was talking to him on the phone and I recognized the voice,” adds Sampson. “I said, ‘Rachel, he’s married,’ and she said Big (bleeping) deal! It’s Tiger Woods. I don’t care about his wife! we’re in love!’ ” Uchitel herself is reported to have been overheard telling friends that she and Woods exchanged sex text messages. Speaking of the matter, Sampson tells Star Magazine, “He’d ask Rachel things like, ‘What are you wearing? What do you want to do to me? What do you want me to do to you?’ She even read me text messages that Tiger sent her that said, ‘I miss you so much! I love you’.” Greater than that, Rachel is said to have been telling her friends that Woods has promised to divorce his wife Elin Nordegren to be with her. Another source tells the publication, “I know for a fact that Tiger and Rachel got together for four days in Los Angeles. She talks about their affair all the time. She thinks Tiger is going to leave his wife and marry her.” Though reports of the affair have been mounting, comment is yet to be made by either Tiger Woods or Elin Nordegren. The athlete and the former supermodel have been married since October 2004 and are parents to two children; son Charlie Axel Woods and daughter Sam Alexis Woods.
