A deal has been struck BUT no money is involved
Katherine Jackson & Debbie Rowe Reach A Custody Agreement On Michael Jackson’s Children

On July 1, we learned from Michael Jackson‘s will that his mother Katherine Jackson was decreed as the sole guardian of his childrenPrince Michael Joseph, Paris Michael Katherine and Prince Michael Joseph II a.k.a. Blanket — and no mention was made of biological mother Debbie Rowe. Debbie took the matter to court to fight for custody of her children and for the past few weeks, negotiations have taken place behind closed doors to see if an agreement could be made on custody of the children. It’s been a bit back and forth but progress was made all the while. Today, Katherine‘s lawyer reveals that an agreement has been reachedKatherine will keep custody of the children on the condition that Debbie can have visitation rights. It’s also worth noting that it was made clear that NO MONEY was made part of the custody agreement:

Michael Jackson’s mother will get custody of the late pop star’s three children after reaching a agreement with her son’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe, a lawyer for Katherine Jackson told CBS News on Thursday. Rowe will have “meaningful visitation rights” with her two biological children with Jackson — Prince Michael, 12, and Paris, 11 — U.S. television networks CBS, ABC and NBC reported. The biological mother of Jackson’s third child, Prince Michael II, 7, also known as Blanket, has never been revealed. Jackson’s mother, Katherine, 79, was granted temporary custody of the children after his death on June 25. “It’s an agreement, an agreement for the best interests of the children. This is not a money deal. This is not about money,” Londell McMillan, Katherine Jackson’s attorney, said in a an interview on CBS News’ “The Early Show.” “All of the parties are resolved. There is no situation better for these children than for them to be raised and reared in the loving care of Mrs. Katherine Jackson,” he said. A court hearing in Los Angeles on custody of the children is scheduled for Monday. Jackson said in his 2002 will he wanted his mother to care for the children if he died. The “Thriller” singer left his estate, valued at $500 million in an attachment to his will, to a family trust that benefits his children, his mother and charities. “That estate is worth, in my estimation, a couple of billion dollars,” McMillan said, referring to the value of the estate if it achieves its potential earnings. “You hear $500 million. Don’t buy it.” The coroner’s report on the cause of the singer’s death is still awaiting toxicology and other test results. His burial arrangements have not been announced.

Sounds like a good deal to me … the kids get to stay with the only mother figure they’ve ever known and their biological mother gets to check in on them from time to time to ensure that they are being taken care of. I’m most pleased with the fact that Rowe wanted no monetary settlement as part of the deal (tho, the cynic in me isn’t totally convinced — Katherine‘s lawyer says, “This is not about money”, but that doesn’t expressly mean that money isn’t involved in secret — but I’ll give Rowe the benefit of the doubt). My concern is that at 79 (going on 80) years, Katherine will not be able to care for the children for as long as Debbie might … but something tells me that Debbie doesn’t really want to be a full-time mom anyways. We learned last week that the eldest Jackson sibling, Rebbie Jackson, will be the one to actually care for the children and help raise them … she sounds like the best option of all. Altho the homicide investigation into MJ‘s death has yet to be completed and the toxicology report from his autopsy has been released, at least we can take comfort in the fact that matter of custody of his children has been settled in a fair and equitable manner. On that account, MJ can finally rest in peace.

Demands a retraction of their assertion that she is after money over children
Debbie Rowe Takes Issue With ‘The New York Post’

The New York Post published a scathing story in their newspaper today asserting that Debbie Rowe, the presumed biological mother of Michael Jackson‘s children, accepted a cash settlement of $4 million in lieu of seeking custody of her children (who are currently under the guardianship of the children’s grandmother Katherine Jackson). In response to the claim made by the NYP, CNN reports that Rowe accepted no such claim and is still intent on appearing at the children’s custody hearing in SoCal on July 20. Additionally, TMZ obtained a letter written by Rowe‘s attorneys demanding that the NYP retract their original story. Here is the cover of today’s NYP highlighting their Rowe story and a portion of their report:

Michael Jackson’s baby mama Debbie Rowe has sold her kids again — this time squeezing about $4 million from her former mother-in-law in exchange for giving up her parental rights, a family source told The Post yesterday. “It’s one final payday,” the disgusted Jackson confidant said. The family isn’t happy about the mega-payout — which was set to be sealed in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon — but they consider it a necessary evil, the source said. “They felt it was like a ransom-type thing. [Rowe] jumped back into the picture because she wanted money,” the friend said.

In response, here is a copy of the letter that Rowe‘s attorneys sent to the Post:

Debbie Rowe’s lawyer just fired off a letter to the New York Post demanding a retraction of its story that Rowe has accepted $4 million to walk away from Michael Jackson’s two eldest kids. The letter — written by Rowe’s lawyer Eric George — says “Among the several contenders for overzealous and inaccurate sensationalism, the New York Post has now seized top honors.” George says “Ms. Rowe has not accepted — and will not accept — any additional financial consideration beyond the spousal support she and Michael Jackson personally agreed to several years ago.” This is a very significant statement and we’ve confirmed it with another Jackson source.

It remains to be seen if the Post will retract their story but something tells me that they prolly won’t … just this afternoon, the NYP published a new story online that claims that Rowe sent emails that claim she does not want the children but also doesn’t want to be seen as the woman who doesn’t want her kids:

Michael Jackson’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe said “Hell no” when discussing the possibility of gaining custody of her two kids, according to a series of bombshell e-mails made public this afternoon. Rebecca White, a close friend of Jacko’s baby mama, revealed to the syndicated TV show “Extra” a series of emails and text messages written by Rowe to her regarding the custody of Jacko’s kids — Michael Jr. 12, and Paris, 11 — just days after the King of Pop’s death. “My lawyer is telling me I have to take some responsibility about the welfare of the children,” Rowe wrote in a July 5 email to White. “Do I want the kids? Hell no. Does it look good for me to ask for them? Absolutely. I don’t want to look like the woman who gave away her kids and just forgot about them.” The e-mails bolstered The Post’s exclusive story today revealing that Rowe had made a $4 million deal to dump the kids — a “secret deal” White said Rowe told her was in the works. “In one text message [Rowe] had just said, ‘Just wait until [July] the 14th. Everything will be done after the 14th.’ There’s definitely going to be a secret deal. There’s definitely going to be a settlement that’s going to come out of this,” said White. The Post reported that Rowe squeezed the money from her former mother-in-law, 79-year-old Katherine, as part of a mega-payout. In a bogus letter to The Post earlier today, Rowe’s lawyer Eric George had the audacity to claim there had been no secret deal reached. “Particularly insidious is your misrepresentation that Ms. Rowe has accepted money to give up custory rights,” George said in the letter. “That statement is unequivocally false” … In an earlier email dated July 2, Rowe said “These kids are not mine. They were never mine. They were always Michael’s. I was Michael’s best friend.”

HMMM … it looks like the back-and-forth fighting between the NYP and Debbie Rowe is only going to continue … and possibly get nastier. To be honest, I don’t know which side to believe … both are equally valid. I guess we’ll find out soon enough if Debbie Rowe really wants her children or if she will be happy to take a cash settlement and go on her merry way.

Happier times at home with his children and then wife Debbie Rowe
‘Good Morning America’ Airs Personal Michael Jackson Home Video

Good Morning America aired some very special, previously unseen home video footage of Michael Jackson in happier times with his young children, Prince Michael Joseph and Paris Michael Katherine in the years between 1999-2003 … at a time when he was still happily married to his second wife Debbie Rowe, was still living at the Neverland Ranch, before the birth of his third child (Prince Michael Joseph, II aka Blanket) and before he was brought up on a second round of charges of child molestation. The home video is painfully sweet and gives us a different look at the man that we believed we knew. Here are a few screencaps from the GMA footage that has been made available:

Those of you who remember this period in MJ‘s life know that he was absolutely private and generally out of public eye for some time. It was ages before we saw him out and about with his children. It was not until he agreed to do the interview with Martin Bashir, Living with Michael Jackson, (after the birth of his third child) that he really opened himself up to the media (and, as you may recall, it was one of the young boys who was featured in that interview that leveled the second round of child molestation charges against him). The home video comes from an earlier, more innocent time. It really is something to see — after the jump, check it out in full …

Also claims that Debbie Rowe is NOT the mother
A New Report Alleges That Michael Jackson Did NOT Father His Children

Holy shizz, y’all! Now … take the following information with a huge grain of salt, especially considering all the insane rumors flying around since Michael Jackson‘s death last Thursday … but considering this report comes from TMZ (the first outlet to report MJ‘s death hours before anyone else) it might have some weight. According to TMZ, sources close to the births of MJ‘s two oldest children with ex-wife Debbie RowePrince Michael Joseph Jackson and Paris Michael Katherine Jackson — claim that neither Michael nor Debbie are the biological parents of the kids! If this report is true, then it would explain so much about those children:

We’ve learned Michael Jackson was not the biological father of any of his children. And Debbie Rowe is not the biological mother of the two kids she bore for Michael. All three children were conceived in vitro — outside the womb. Multiple sources deeply connected to the births tell us Michael was not the sperm donor for any of his kids. Debbie’s eggs were not used. She was merely the surrogate, and paid well for her services in the births of Michael Jr. and Paris. In the case of Prince Michael II (the youngest), we’re told the surrogate was never told of the identity of the “receiving parent” — Michael Jackson. Three days after Prince was born at Grossmont Hospital in San Diego County, Jackson’s lawyer came to the hospital to pick the baby up and deliver him to Michael. We do not know if Jackson chose the sperm or egg donors or if he even knew who they were. Although Rowe is not the biological mother, it’s not a slam dunk that she would lose a custody battle. This type of case has never been litigated in California courts. Since Rowe was married to Jackson when Michael Jr. and Paris were born, there’s a presumption that she’s the biological parent. That presumption can be rebutted by other evidence. We know there are documents outlining the whole arrangement for the birth of all three kids. Nonetheless, it’s still an open issue with the courts.

Holy MF SHIZZZZ!!!! Now, I realize that TMZ‘s sources may be completely wrong but … it would make so much sense if the children were not biologically borne of Michael Jackson or Debbie Rowe. None of the kids look AT ALL like MJ and Debbie has notoriously denied that the children “are hers”. She’s always said that the kids “belong to Michael Jackson” and that she is “not their mother”. US Weekly claims that MJ‘s dermatologist (and Debbie Rowe‘s former boss), Arnold Klein, is the biological father of the eldest MJ children. OMG! Of course this is still very speculative but the truth may, one day, come out. My guess is that either we’ll eventually learn everything surrounding the births of his children or we’ll never know anything. If the Jackson family has their way, my guess is that we’ll never find out the truth if, in fact, these allegations are true. But, in all honesty, I would not be surprised in the least if this report turns out to be the truth. I’ve had my suspicions all along about the paternity of MJ‘s children … but still … WOW! Thoughts?

UPDATE: OMG OMG!! Now TMZ reports that Michael Jackson never legally adopted any of his children!!!

We’ve learned Michael Jackson never adopted his three children, even though he’s not the biological father. We broke the story that neither Jackson nor Debbie Rowe are the biological parents of Michael Jr. and Paris. And Michael was not the biological parent of Prince Michael II either. Now here’s the rub. We’ve learned Jackson never filed legal papers to adopt any of his children. Legal experts tell us Jackson would be presumed the father but it’s not conclusive by any means. As for why Jackson didn’t formally adopt — we’re told at the time the kids were born there was no third party whom he believed would try and claim custody. For some reason, Jackson never thought Debbie Rowe would mount a custody challenge.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If MJ never legally adopted the kids then … does his mother Katherine Jackson have any claim on eventually winning guardianship of the kids? We know she filed paperwork here in California yesterday to take full custody of the children but if MJ neither biologically fathered NOR legally adopted the kids then … WTF?!

How long until the full truth comes out? Again I say … WOW!
