A Breath Of Fresh Fish Air

How’s this for a Debbie Downer … Star magazine is reporting that überhottie David Beckham has got some nasty stank breath due to his constant popping of Go3 vitamins on a daily basis. As spokesperson for the pills, Becks has committed to popping two of the pills daily … pills that contain fish oil and, as a result, give him fish breath. Um, EW!

Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham loves everything about her husband, soccer star David Beckham — except his fishy breath! Star has learned that whenever the soccer star goes in for a kiss from his wife, she says, “Pee-yoo!” What’s the problem? Well, every day, David takes two Go3 pills, which are full of fish oil. “Becks is the spokesperson for Go3 — he even appears on the box — so he has to take it despite the consequences,” says the source. “And he really believes in the product. He says it gives him more energy.” Becks chews on lots of breath mints to combat the stench, but they don’t seem to work that well. “They help, but not much!”

Dirty mouth? He needs to clean that shizz up … someone get the man truckloads of Orbit gum, please. I must admit, bad breath or no, I’d still be all up in Becks‘s biz no question. Sure, the thought of fish breath ain’t all that appealing but … I’d make do. This ain’t quite a deal breaker for me ;)

Battle Of The Bulge: Becks Vs. Cristiano

Here’s a fun little game to wrap your head around … here are two pictures, one of David Beckham on the fields of play in Washington DC at this weekend’s LA Galaxy vs. DC United soccer match and one of Cristiano Ronaldo enjoying his holiday in Sardinia, Italy also this weekend — both men grabbing a hold of their naughty bits:

So the question becomes … which man has a better grasp on the better assets? To be totally honest, it looks like Cristiano has got the advantage as it appears that he has more to hold on to … maybe Becks‘s photo was taken at an unfortunate angle but it doesn’t really look like there’s much there. HMMM … what do you think? Who wins this battle of the bulge?

The 'Galaxy', They Fall
‘United’, They Stand

For the second time since joining the ranks of the LA Galaxy, David Beckham and his Galaxy teammates traveled to Washington DC to battle DC United only to return home in defeat. While the score was much closer last year (DC 1, LA 0), the Galaxy were handily defeated this time around with a final score of 4-1. Overall, David Beckham did his best to try and pull out a win … he kicked some balls, he ran around the field, etc. but couldn’t quite pull it together. He did find the time to grab his biz and strip off his shirt at the end of the game, tho, so it wasn’t a total wash. Here are a couple pics of Becks‘s arrival in DC early this weekend:

An adoring fan gave Becks that lovely yellow rose in his hand and he was very kind enough to oblige various fans with photos and autographs. Here are a few pics of Becks in action on the field this weekend despite his team’s loss … I do love how “in action” included grabbin’ his junk:

Once again, D.C. United stole the spotlight from the Los Angeles Galaxy. Last year in RFK Stadium, United held on for a 1-0 win when David Beckham made his long-awaited Major League Soccer debut. This year, as part of a national broadcast doubleheader with the Euro 2008 final, the Galaxy wilted in the heat as United’s stars – Marcelo Gallardo, Luciano Emilio and Jaime Moreno – made the ABC showcase their own with a 4-1 win. For United’s Clyde Simms, the TV time was a means to an end for a team that has few league games next month. “It helps send a message to the other teams that we’re playing better soccer,” Simms said. Beckham and fellow Galaxy star Landon Donovan created good chances at times and combined on the game’s best sequence, with Donovan one-timing the ball in the net on an incisive near-post pass from Beckham. But in a clear sign that this day would not be the Galaxy’s, the goal was nullified on a close offside call. The crowd of 35,979 heckled Beckham and Donovan, saving the loudest roar of the game for the late appearance of Ben Olsen, the United captain who has been battling career-threatening ankle injuries. The Barra Brava supporters group held several banners in tribute to Olsen at kickoff. Both teams’ offenses have been much better than their defenses this year, and a defensive blunder helped United take an early lead. Galaxy defender Ante Jazic clumsily barged into former teammate Santino Quaranta from behind in the penalty box. Moreno, MLS’ all-time leading scorer, calmly slotted home the penalty kick. United continued to press the game. A few minutes later, goalkeeper Steve Cronin came up big as Emilio timed a run to perfection and had a clean shot at the Galaxy goal. Beckham objected to a Moreno foul early in the half, drawing profane chants from the D.C. supporter groups. He put several dangerous passes forward in search of Edson Buddle, but the United defense cleared the danger … As they did last year, D.C. United fans took advantage of the spotlight to rev up the enthusiasm for their own team. A couple of signs were playful jabs at Beckham, including a “Shouldn’t you be in Austria?” banner, referring to the Euro 2008 tournament for which England did not qualify. An English flag in the upper level had “D.C. United” written across the middle. On United’s bench was Quavas Kirk. Last year, when Kirk was with the Galaxy, he was the player Beckham replaced as the crowd erupted for the megastar’s MLS debut.

Whoa! Who knew that we had bona fide soccer hooligans here in the US? It’s about time that American soccer fans started taking the sport seriously … now if only Becks and the Galaxy boys would start taking the sport seriously as well, they’d be all set ;) After the jump, a few photos of shirtless Becks walking off the field in defeat …

Almost Full Set, Fall/Winter 2008-2009
David Beckham For Armani Underwear

Woot! Here it is, y’all … the 5th and final photo four most recent photos from the David Beckham for Armani Underwear, Fall/Winter 2008 – 2009 ad campaign:

Okay … this photo is awesome. It looks the most natural, the most real of the photos released thus far. If we refer to the bulge in this photo, you will note that it’s not outrageously bulbous … it doesn’t look like the photo has been enhanced to death … it looks like a normal-sized bulge. It looks very nice.

On Thursday we saw the third and fourth photos from this campaign (one of the photos was turned on its side when it should’ve been upright) and then last week we saw the second photo and the first photo from this batch. After the jump, see all of the photos from the Armani Underwear Fall/Winter 08-09 ad campaign released thus far all bulged bunched together …

I feel I must concur
David Beckham ‘Amazed’ By His Own Hugeness

David Beckham posted a new blog yesterday on his official website, DavidBeckham.com, wherein he talks about his new Armani Underwear photos and how “amazed” he is not only by the hugeness of the newly unveiled billboard in San Francisco, CA but also by the number of people who came out witness the unveiling. Awww … such humbleness … especially coming from a guy who is so willing to show off his bulge on massive billboards and in countless magazines all around the world. Here is the full text of Becks‘s latest blog:

Hi everyone,

Well I’m sure you’ve seen the pictures but last week I went to San Francisco to see the unveiling of the new Emporio Armani campaign I shot a while back. To be honest I was amazed by the huge billboard poster outside Macy’s department store, but even more amazed by the amount of people who turned up to see it! I’m always surprised by the amount of attention certain things create, but the attention this campaign has created is pretty incredible. It was great to meet some of the people who’d come out especially though, I’ve always wanted to visit San Francisco, so it was a great to finally get there … Moving onto the football – Saturday’s game was a bit of a disappointment to say the least. We were 2-0 up and playing at home, so we should have closed out the game, but credit to Columbus Crew, they came back at us and forced a draw. We did get a point, but it feels like a loss to be honest. We need to make our stadium a fortress and win our games there and not give anything away, not just in defence, but also from the forwards and the midfield. At the moment it’s just the consistency, it’s all about finishing off teams and holding onto leads. Sometimes it just needs a bit of calmness. It’s all a learning process and we will get better, it’s just about getting the mix right.

That’s all for now

David

I love how Becks can write about his new underwear ad campaign and then so seamless change topics and start talking about soccer. That’s a pro, right there. I wish I could believe that David Beckham was really sitting at his computer writing out these blogposts but I just can’t really see it happening. At best, he may dictate a few things that get blogged for him but in the end, he puts his name on it and I guess that’s good enough. Becks doesn’t blog nearly as much as he should … clearly he’s too bizzy traipsing around the globe, playing soccer, posing for undie pics, chillin’ with his family. Pshaw! More blogs Becks! Tell whoever it is that writes them for you to write more often ;)

Four down, one more to go
Even More Beckham Bulge On The Loose

The blog We Love Beckhams has come across two more David Beckham photos from the new Fall/Winter Armani Underwear ad campaign. Previously we got to see the first two photos from this Armani Underwear campaign (HERE and HERE) and now we get two more photos from the same batch, which appear in the latest issue of Grazia magazine:

Woot! Me likey! Personally, I think this batch of Becks bulge pics for Armani Underwear are much hotter than the first batch we got at the beginning of the year. I understand that there are supposed to be 5 photos in total from this new batch … that means there should be one more pic on the way. EmporioArmani.com has been updated for the new Fall/Winter campaign but, thus far, the site only features one new photo of David Beckham (the one where he’s wearing the black undies while in repose). Must have more Beckham bulge!!! I hope the final photo does come out soon :)

Has Becks been Stuff'd?
Has The Beckham Bulge Been Enhanced?

Far be it for me to besmirch David Beckham‘s good name and the good name of his bulge which he is currently promoting in the name of Armani Underwear but the question has been asked and I feel there is evidence to be inspected and scrutinized to judge for ourselves … was David Beckham‘s package enhanced in those sexy new Armani Underwear ads? MSNBC by way of The Daily Mail suggests that a side-by-side comparison of Beckham‘s bulge back in 2006 with his bulge today, in 2008, shows a marked difference in … well, bulgeness … which leads some to believe there was manipulation of some sort done to Becks‘s bulge to make it seem more ample. Let’s take a look:

The latest Emporio Armani underwear ads show David Beckham in all his glory, but rumor has it the soccer star may have had some help filling out his tighty-whities. The “enhancement” buzz started shortly after a 100-foot tall image of David wearing the famous undies made its debut at Macy’s in San Francisco earlier this week, and some found David’s form too good to be true. That’s when sleuths at the Daily Mail uncovered a photo of Becks on the beach sporting a similar look. The surfside shot, taken in 2006, features the L.A. Galaxy player in a white bikini with one notable difference from the Armani pics — the fabric appears less, um, inflated. The paper offered a side-by-side comparison and speculated that the difference could be the result of digital manipulation, but a spokesperson for David denies the claim. “There wasn’t any enhancement to that said region,” the rep insisted.

Interesting … back in 2006, David Beckham famously donned a pair of white Speedos while chilling on Roberto Cavalli‘s private yacht as he vacationed on the Italian Coast. While he looks pretty damn amazing in those little white shorts, his bulge is noticeably smaller than the one we see today. HMM. What could possibly be the cause? If only there was another photo of Becks‘s bulge to compare these pics with …

The Beckham Bunch Visit Alcatraz

David Beckham and the family made the most of their time in San Francisco, CA this past week. Not only were Becks and the crew (Vicki B., Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz Beckham) in town for the unveiling of his massive new mural on the Macy’s department store in Union Square but they were also in town for a little rest and relaxation. Taking full advantage of their time in town, Becks took the fam for a day trip visit to Alcatraz prison … here are a couple of pics:

They’re used to luxury surrounds, but the Beckham children got a education in hard living during a visit to Alcatraz yesterday. Victoria and David took their sons Brooklyn, nine, Romeo, seven, and Cruz, three, to the notorious prison, which once housed crime boss Al Capone. Posh, as usual, was overdressed for the occasion, tottering around The Rock in towering wedges and a blue mini dress. She flew into San Francisco to join her husband after his launch of his new Armani underwear campaign.

Way to fuel those Wentworth Miller-inspired prison fantasies, eh? I gotta say … I just love it when Les Beckhams partake in very “touristy” outings like this. When they are home in LA, the family goes about their days just like regular Los Angelinos do … trips to Pink Taco at Century City, The Grove and T.G.I.Friday’s in Woodland Hills show that they enjoy the same things that regular folk do. When they visit other US cities, the family does tend to get into the tourist spirit of things. It’s cute. This is a side of the family that I love to see. The normal side.

... pen.
David Beckham Shows Off This Stick

So, yesterday we got a closer look at Becks‘s bulge in the first of the new batch of Armani Underwear ad photos which were unveiled this week in San Francisco, CA and today we get to check out his stick in another new Beckham ad campaign, this time for Sharpie markers. Altho this new ad campaign isn’t as … interesting (or meaty) as the campaign for Armani Underwear is, it still looks purdy swell … after all, it features David Beckham, y’all:

It’s not quite Armani, but it helps pay the bills. Brand Beckham has expanded yet again as David is the new global ambassador for Sharpie – a pen company. The LA Galaxy star signed a two year deal to support two of Sharpie’s products, and has already starred in a 15-second television ad which aired in the U.S last month. Although the details of the deal are undisclosed, Beckham,32, is bound to be making a tidy sum to add to his other projects. He is currently modeling for for fashion designer Giorgio Armani’s underwear collection under a new three-year multimillion-pound deal … David said: “I have always enjoyed signing autographs for people, especially since I used to love getting my heroes’ signatures when I was younger,” said David Beckham. “I love to use Sharpie markers, so it’s a natural choice for me to partner with them.”

Soooo … you wanna see the Sharpie commercial?

Becks makes a big showing in San Fran
The Big Picture

Late last night I posted a few pics sent in by Pink reader Daniel of the new David Beckham for Armani Underwear mural that was unveiled in San Francisco on the face of the Macy’s department store in Union Square … and today I have a few more pics to share, courtesy of Pink reader Marissa who was also in Union Square yesterday evening as the mural was unveiled. Here are a few pics of Becks making his appearance at Macy’s and of Marissa trying to grab a piece of the action:

MMMMM MMMMM … I’d be grabbin’ at that thing, too, if I was able :) You know, I gave the notion of jetting up to San Francisco for the Becks meet & greet .09 secs of thought yesterday and now I’m thinkin’ I should’ve gave it more thought. It sounds like it was a very fun experience … actually, it deffo looks like it was a fun experience …
